I bought this movie by mistake. My best friend mentioned it in passing as a movie he recently watched and I thought he was recommending it. I picked it up in a bargain bin in store when I had time to kill. Most of the movie is fantastic if you like thrillers. Even better if you like movies where the villain is also the "good" guy. I could really sympathize with the Gerard Butler character (the villain) mainly because the Jamie Foxx character is so annoying. That being said the ending completely ruins the movie. Utterly ruins it. I do not want to spoil anything further. I am giving this a 3 star overall because the movie up to the ending gets 5 stars and the ending gets 1 star.

I remember seeing the trailer for this and thinking I'm not sure, but actually watching it I enjoyed it more than I thought. I guess I was expecting something different in the plot. Not bad.

Brought the word revenge to a new level. Storyline was well put together. Actors played their parts excellent.

This is the kind of movie I really enjoy. Characters that are believable and know how to pull off crazy feats. Blu-Ray is great, good sound as well. Another metal case for my collection.

Read the summary and decided to try it. It's not what you expect a law-abiding citizen to be. In fact, it's totally different. Is he a law-abiding citizen or not?

The story line and the acting in this movie were amazing. The plot and the twists just keep you at the edge of your seat. This is a movie you'd want to watch over and over again.

This is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Had to upgrade to the 4K.

This movie is not for children. Gerard Butler's performance is excellent, as were all supporting actors. The story was to the point and kept my interest throughout. The graphic violence was a bit more than I would have liked, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Original story with plenty of twists and turns. Even when you think you know how things are happening you still can't trust that feeling. Really good cast of characters and plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie.

I can and have watched this movie over and over and over and over and over and over and over...well...you get the point. I just find it to be very entertaining and it keeps my attention.

GERARD BUTLER IS NO PERSON TO BE MESSING AROUND WITH WHEN IT COMES TO FAMILY!! A MUST HAVE PAYBACK FILM W/FOXX AS HIS NOT SO HONEST LAWYER.

Two great actors and a great movie that keeps you interested from beginning to end. This could be a real story taken from many of today’s court cases.

Picked this up after seeing it on sale.. Watched the directors cut version... Definitely added some good scenes that you didn't see on the original version! Must Watch!

The torture scenes are kind of hard to watch. This is a modern day "Falling Down". If you are a fan of vigilante justice, then this is the film for you.

Its been awhile since I first saw this movie and I did not notice anything new. If you haven't seen the movie yet, watch it. For me though, the 2nd time around and the Unrated Director's Cut just wasn't worth it.

This movie was awesome. Jamie Fox at his best. I know he known for being a comedian but the more serious part of him came out in this picture.

A man loses his family and turns the criminal justice system upside down. It's a taut revenge film that is ridiculous, but still overall entertaining.

Jamie Foxx is a lawyer and has different people opinions on how to deal with a case involving a client whose daughter and wife were killed.

I really enjoyed this movie , I would only recommend it for adults though, had great stars but really has scenes not suited for anyone under 17
