    Sad, but worth it

Given that the cast recording was made immediately after Bowie's death, I'm amazed that they were able to pull off such performances. Michael C. Hall impressed me with his range and abilities, those that only know him from Dexter will be quite surprised. The main reason I bought this album was for the additional 3 new Bowie tracks. No Plan is pleasant, but Killing a Little Time is fantastic- that song alone makes this worth a purchase.

With the passing of David Bowie he leaves a large body of work. Part of that legacy is The Lazarus which is a musical that he was working on before his death. As a bonus there is a second disc of the last recordings of his last recordings. A must have for any Bowie fan.

...and what a tremendous gift one of the greatest artists will ever see has left us. I really think the rearrangement of the Bowie songs for the play are phenomenal! Not to mention, 3 'new' tracks from the Lazarus album sessions. Oh man, I miss this guy!

When I heard about this show, a Musical version of The Man Who Fell to Earth, I HAD to have this CD. Michael C Hall SINGING Bowie just made it all that more imperative. If you loved David Bowie and The Man Who Fell to Earth...this is a must.

The cast of Lazarus was fantastic. I am very happy that even though I didn't get to see the show, I have this in my collection. There are many new takes on Bowie's songs which are mostly interesting. A great collection of songs, from what I know was a great show. An excellent tribute to David Bowie.

I saw the original production on Broadway and could not wait to get this album. Michael C. Hall is an incredible singer and performer, I can think of a more perfect person to embody the iconic music of David Bowie.

This collection has obviously great songs that are performed by very good and talented singers. The versions are just faithful enough to not take anything away from the power of the originals.

The bonus disc of 3 tunes that Bowie recorded is a definite plus! The cast does their own take of Bowie's material & do a fine job with that. I hope that a touring company can bring it to my town.

The cast do a great job of interpreting David's songs but the real gems here are the three new tracks. Heartbreaking.

I didn't expect to really like this but the performances were terrific, especially the Lazarus version of "It's No Game" plus I got a bonus disc of four Bowie-performed songs.

Most people will never see the play Lazarus, but this gives you a chance to hear its soundtrack -- plus a few unreleased songs sung by the legendary Bowie himself. Nothing great, but a must for die-hard Bowie fans and collectors.
