The most user friendly Crypto wallet I've tried.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very High quality & intentionally crafted little device. I upgraded to the Flex from a ledger Nano X & love the ease of use the touchscreen on the Flex provides. Doing almost anything on the Flex is a smoother and more seamless experience than any other wallet I've used up to this point. Price is a bit much but when comparing it to Ledger's flagship device the STAX you really cant go wrong.

Feature Rich Wallet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ledger Flex is a fantastic choice in wallets, offering unique set of features and services, while providing a secure and easy to understand wallet for any entrant into the space. Unboxing the Flex, I found it to be well made and felt good in the hand with finished edges unlike some wallets I own. Apart from slight flexing of the back plastic, the Flex has a premium feel with aluminum banding and a 2.84” matte Gorilla Glass E Ink display. In addition to the Flex, Ledger provides 3 recovery sheets and a USB C to USB C cable for charging or interface. After unboxing you will need to use Ledger Live to setup the Flex, the companion app available on desktop or mobile. Having setup other wallets both ways I appreciate Ledger supports desktop and mobile apps, however I chose the convenience of mobile for the Flex. Setup was a breeze thanks to Ledger’s well designed and feature rich app, which walks you through the pairing, secure device verification, pin setup, secret recovery phrase, and apps (wallets). During this time you will also have the option of Ledger Recover, their custodial recovery service, which is optional and can be added later. Once setup is complete, you can use Ledger Live to receive and send with your newly created (or restored) wallets. In addition to sending or receiving, Ledger Live offer the ability to buy, sell, swap and even stake from within the app through one of their partners. I found the fees a bit high but Ledger breaks down your choices and provides associated fees. Again, it is nice that Ledger offers the flexibility of features and services to those who want it while not compromising those who do not. Interacting with the Flex is also great, with the large display perfect for reading wallet addresses as well as providing meaningful information in what Ledger calls Clear Signing. Essentially, Ledger provides additional details regarding your interactions so that the user fully understands what they are doing, enhancing security for newcomers and veterans alike. Provided you have adequate lighting, the display is easy to read and can be customized with custom photo wallpaper or an NFT of your choice. The Flex also lets you control settings such as sounds, turn bluetooth/nfc off, and PIN shuffle to enhance physical security. Inside there is a CC EAL6+ certified secure chip which further ensures the integrity of the device. Battery life of the Flex is also good, rated at 10-hours of use or 150 transactions. Although I only made a few transactions, I did interact with the device more often than I normally would and I have averaged 5% consumption a week. Having used the Flex for over a couple weeks, I am confident in the device and like the thought that was put into the overall experience. I was skeptical having used other wallets over the years, but the Ledger Flex really is a great choice and offers a good value considering the features and services along with the practical security it provides.

Compact, efficient, and secure.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Design & Build The Ledger Flex strikes a balance between portability and usability. It's compact enough to slip into a pocket but large enough to handle comfortably with one or two hands. The e-ink display is a standout feature—offering crisp readability without the eye strain of traditional screens. Unlike some other devices, the lack of haptic feedback is a welcome choice, preserving battery life without unnecessary power consumption. Setup & Security Ledger has made setup both seamless and secure. Before anything else, the device runs an authenticity check to confirm that the hardware hasn't been tampered with. This ensures that you’re receiving a legitimate, untouched device where no one has prior access to the seed phrases—a crucial security step that adds peace of mind. Connectivity & Functionality Pairing the Ledger Flex via Bluetooth is simple and reliable. This makes updating apps and managing assets through your phone effortless, without needing to connect to a computer. Additionally, NFC support is a welcome addition, allowing for quick authentication without relying solely on a phone for 2FA. User Experience & Features Ledger’s desktop app simplifies the management of multiple devices, making it easy to track and move cryptocurrency. The UI remains intuitive, ensuring transactions are straightforward. Customization is a nice touch, allowing users to display personal photos or NFTs stored on the wallet as a background. Packaging & Presentation Ledger maintains its high-quality packaging standards. Everything needed to get started is neatly packed, with QR codes on the box and inserts guiding users directly to the right applications. This small detail improves accessibility and speeds up the onboarding process. Final Thoughts The Ledger Flex refines the crypto wallet experience by combining security, ease of use, and smart design choices. The e-ink display, lack of haptic feedback, NFC support, and robust security measures make it an excellent option for those serious about digital asset protection. Whether you're managing a single wallet or multiple Ledgers, this device delivers a smooth and reliable experience.

Great new Crypto wallet from Ledger
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ledger Nano Flex is a new Crypto wallet from Ledger featuring an E-ink touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB and NFC connectivity. The device is compatible with Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android and IOS. There are Desktop and Mobile versions of the Ledger live app. The wallet is 78.40 mm × 56.50 mm × 7.70 mm in perfect for pocket and weighs in at 57.5gm. The screen resolution is 480x600px.and 2.84 inches diagonally. The E-Ink screen is easy to read but you need light to see it as there is no onboard light. The setup is easy, download and install Ledger live it performs a check to confirm the wallet as a genuine Ledger. Next you then set up your 4 or 8 digit pin. Wallet setup is next: You can set the wallet up as a new wallet with a 24 word recovery phrase or recover a previous ledger wallet by entering your old wallet 12,18 or 24 word secret recovery phrase. Ledger includes a card to write down the words for safekeeping. You can also take advantage of Ledger recover by creating a digital ID, Ledger provides this recovery service for a fee. The wallet can be used as a 2FA security key with NFC for your phone, just download the ledger security app and select it, turn on NFC and tap the screen when it is needed for identity authentication. This is compatible with many sites. Another cool feature is you can display your favorite NFT or image on your Lock screen to personalize your device. You can even buy a magnetic folio to protect the flex. The ledger flex is compatible with most blockchains, see the full list on Ledgers website. The Ledger flex is a great wallet in a pocket sized format easy to read making signing and confirming account transactions easy. Its multi blockchain support and long battery life make it an excellent choice for a secure crypto wallet. This is a great replacement for an old Nano or Nano X plus.

Powerful user-friendly cold storage solution
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verdict: wow, I love this crypto wallet. It’s essentially the best of both worlds… cold storage of private keys, and easy and secure interaction with Ledger Live to buy, sell, stake, move etc. your crypto. Besides no wireless charging, this thing is fantastic. Pro Tips: - You can use your Flex as a two-factor authenticator for your email accounts and some exchanges like Coinbase by using the “Security Key” app on the Flex and then tap it to your phone (uses NFC) or plug it to your computer with the USB-C cable. This prevents anyone from intercepting text messages with 2FA codes, for example. Initial impressions. It’s thin. The always on e-ink screen can display a picture or NFT – pretty cool. The touchscreen works very well and is precise. It comes with a USB-C charger. Setup. Once you turn on the Flex, a step-by-step guide on the screen goes through the setup process, while also providing information about each step. I think this is helpful to teach new users and increase trust in the device. For my Ledger Nano S, I only used the desktop app and was happy with it, but… I could only transact from my computer. While you can use the desktop app with the Flex, I think the absolute game-changer for me is the ability to use the Ledger Live app on my smartphone, making all crypto transactions mobile, and secure through the Flex device. For the most interaction with the Flex, you will use it in tandem with your smartphone and the Ledger Live app, so keep them both side by side for setup. To setup the Ledger Live app on your smartphone, just scan the QR code with your smartphone. From there, follow just a few prompts to pair the Flex with your phone, and then complete remaining step for the setup of the Flex. If you get a Flex to restore your seed phrase from a previous Ledger device, you will go through the same process but select “Restore” on the Flex, instead of “Setup as a new wallet.” Once setup, you can install individual crypto apps on your Flex from Ledger Live app on your phone. Crypto. While the Ledger Flex supports thousands of currencies, it can only hold up to 100 apps at a time. Some apps are larger than others… so you could end up with many less than that. If you are close to your storage limit, you can install an app make a transaction, then delete the app. Your crypto is stored on the blockchain so it is safe. This does not affect your private keys stored on the device. Your crypto will be visible on Ledger Live. If you need to make a transaction again, you can reinstall the app. The Ledger Live App. The desktop app and mobile app are perfectly synched, so you can use either or both! The app is intuitive, easy to use, and powerful. You can find thousands of crypto currencies and do everything you would expect from an app: buy, sell, stake, move, etc. You can see all your wallets and holdings, link external accounts, and see market performance. You can also use the app to customize the Ledger, such as the lock screen (you can use your pictures and even NFTs). Of course, to send / exchange / buy / sell, you will need your Flex to verify the transaction… that is the whole point of having a cold storage wallet. I LOVE that all critical approvals are done on the Flex and not on the smartphone; essentially, it puts all the security and power in your hands. To receive crypto, you will also need your Flex initially to verify that the receiving address is connected to the private keys in your Flex. Security. The security chip is purpose-built for security and used by credit card companies for financial transactions around the world. Upon setup, the Flex will check if it’s genuine BEFORE you upload any private keys to make sure this is not a fake device aimed a capturing your keys. The pin to access the Flex can be 4 to 8 numbers; I think that’s adequate. If you enter the wrong pin 3 times, the wallet will wipe itself and you will need your secret pass phrase. You can adjust the time for the screen auto-lock. The screen allows you to see all the details of a transaction, so no more blind signing. Pass phrase (or seed phrase). If you lose your Ledger Flex, or if for some reason the battery permanently fails, you can restore your private keys to a new Ledger device by using your secret pass phrase (use the recovery sheets provided). The Flex is a great solution to get your crypto off of exchanges that can be hacked, or that go bankrupt – this happens regularly folks! This device enables you to secure your own keys. Please beware! If you lose your secret phrase, your crypto is gone FOREVER. Battery. You should use best practices to keep your battery healthy: (1) store between 68F and 113F temperatures; (2) avoid storing for an extended time when the battery is already low; and (3) charge your battery every three months. Like all batteries, unfortunately, this battery will die too. When this happens, make sure you have your secret phrase so you can restore your crypto to a new device. Things I love: - Most user-friendly cold storage crypto wallet - Nice desktop app and fantastic smartphone app - Pin to enter into the Ledger Flex for security - Security appears to be the priority - Bluetooth connectivity - Battery lasts for weeks on a single charge - Thank you for allowing the battery percentage to be displayed! - Option to use the Ledger Recover subscription service, if you want to pay for it. I don’t… While your private keys are heavily secured through Ledger, I still do not want to grant access to my private keys to any external entity Things I don’t love: - No backlight on the screen, so can’t use it in the dark on its own - No wireless charging - It has a battery, so one day it will fail Conclusion. This is a fantastic cold storage wallet, featuring a user-friendly touch screen and powerful companion apps on desktop and smartphone. I have never felt so secured about my crypto, but… I do feel a bit of anxiety about securing my seed phrase permanently. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this wallet.

XRP (& More) Holder Loving My New Wallet!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a long-time XRP holder, along with various other cryptocurrencies. I have had numerous crypto wallets over the years. Whether that was digital wallets on various exchanges (like Coinbase or Binance) and hardware wallets too. I have seen the changes over the past few years from the very basic wallets to the really advanced wallets. I have had some that had just a couple buttons & it made navigating them and inputting characters an absolute chore. No more with the Ledger Flex wallet! I have my cryptocurrency spread out over multiple wallets so that way if I lose one then all is not lost as I have more in other wallets, in other locations. All of which are outlined in my Will (along with how to access them). My family knows where to find my Will, which will then outline who gets what, and from where. It really is a must to do this, or similar, nowadays. Enough about the backstory, what about the device? I absolutely love this crypto wallet-Flex by Ledger. I'll go over it more in-depth below but that is the short of it: I just love it! First Impressions The packaging of the Flex is sleek, just like the device itself. I was able to have the device completely set up in a matter of minutes. It was intuitive and easy to use. The screen is super cool. I've seen reviews for phones with e-ink screens and I found it to be super cool. Sure, you can't game or watch YouTube or something on the phone screen but for something like this, a crypto wallet, it seems e-ink was just made for this type of scenario. It reminds me of the old graphing calculators I used in middle school and high school. It had me feeling nostalgic. Rating: 5/5 Build Quality I've already touched on the screen a little bit above, and so I won't go into it too much further than to just say I really love it. But the build quality of the Flex feels very nice. It has a nice weight to it, without being too heavy. It has a nice feel to it, without feeling bulky. It fit perfectly in my hand & the touch screen was perfectly responsive while looking and feeling premium. Rating: 5/5 Easy of Use Receiving crypto was a breeze. I sent crypto to the wallet from my Coinbase wallet & found myself just playing around with the device because I love the screen (I know, I'm back on the e-ink screen again, sorry). It truly feels like the best hardware wallet I've laid my hands on thus far. It is such an easy device to use that I believe I am going to replace all my hardware wallets with the Ledger Flex. Because I want my family to be able to easily use the device when I am no longer around & have left them my assets. I think that is something that us tech geeks forget about. When we go to leave it to our family are they really going to be able to use it? Or is someone going to have to do it for them? And can we trust that person to do it for them without doing something nefarious? This device makes me believe that even my elderly mother could figure out how to get the crypto currency sent out somewhere. Seriously, it is that intuitive! Rating: 5/5 Conclusion: I know I spoke a lot of about the e-ink screen, but I really & truly love it and am in awe of it. It isn't a 4k or 8k screen, heck it doesn't even have color so it shouldn't be that impressive, but it truly is. And the ease of use just blows me away. Going from a two-button hardware wallet to a full touch screen is simply a blessing I didn't even think about it until it struck me this time that I need to make this easy for my family to use when I am gone. That is the main thing for me. And something I now will be planning to rectify but not online detailing how to use the hardware wallet but also replacing my older wallets with the Ledger Flex. Total Rating: 5/5

Secure. Easy. User Friendly. Great Design.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will get into some details below, but to briefly sum my thoughts up, I think this is a fantastic wallet that generally does everything I need or want it to, well, and simply has a great design. The first thing I noticed, naturally, was that design. It is somewhat of a rare thing these days to come across a device that surprises me. This did. Between the size, look, and use of e-ink I was a little “wow”ed. Certainly different from a lot of the keys, sticks, and the like with very tiny screens, hard to push buttons, etc… that have been the norm in this space for some time. I love this shape and form factor. Beyond just the look, the build is, well, solid. I think it is the perfect size for what it is, it is a nice weight, and it just “feels good in the hand.” I don’t plan on tossing it around, really, but I think it should take a bit of a beating and hold up over time. While all of this is important to me, it really means nothing if the wallet itself does not excel in being a wallet. I can easily say I have no concerns here. To be clear, while a lot of my holdings are simple (and modest), I found everything a breeze to do. Set-up, managing, transferring, and transacting were all easy, intuitive, and simple to execute. They support many assets, exchanges, and third parties. I have to think just about everyone will be pleased here. As for security, having a cold wallet is already good for peace of mind, but I think Ledger does a really thorough job here with regards to software, information, prompts, and processes. It seems like a priority and an emphasis, which I really appreciate. In use? It would probably be a bit much to say it is a joy, but given some of my prior experiences, maybe not that much. It really is the e-ink that does it for me. Very clear, a good choice for what is needed here, and pulls very little power, extending the life of the battery. Both in charge frequency and battery health. Yes, there is a small amount of lag, but the screen is quite responsive. Sure, I would love a backlight, but it is not really a need for me. All in all, I love it. On its own, and comparatively. It can display lots of data and it is easy to act on that data. Really, that is what I am looking for. Ultimately, as I suppose is clear, I really like this wallet. It is secure, reliable, easy to use, well built, and just looks great. Additionally, battery life has been outstanding (so far, time will tell), there are a few little extras, and I think Ledger will support it going forward. You do pay up a bit for all of this, but I do really think the value is there for everything it provides.

Best Ledger Yet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ledger has been around as long as you really can be around in the crypto space. Their products are great, offering us consumers a cold storage option for digital assets. Anyone who does not trust exchanges will want this. The latest Ledger Flex does all of what the previous ledgers provided while making it even easier to interface with. I have the Ledger Nano X I only mention it in the review because functionality the devices offer you the same things. The Ledger Flex gives you a nice screen to work with and this can assist with those with bad eyes. Crypto in general has a learning curve, but the guide and explanation via the Ledger website (App for desktop) can assist with that. The way I tend to use ledger is as a hardware key that is required before funds will be transferred on a web wallet like meta mask or Coinbase wallet. Ledger does provide their own desktop app. This application allows you to connect to their exchange and also bridges. if you need to bridge ERC-20 tokens from one network to another. There is nothing locking you into the ledger ecosystem. You can use their software or just use this as an additional hardware key for authenticating transactions or use it as your wallet itself. It is a good product. If this is something you will keep in an office or safe. Go with the Ledger Flex. If you want portability. Nothing wrong with the Ledger Flex. However, Ledger does provide smaller solutions for being on the go. Security is important. Cold Storage gives you all the responsibility of safe keeping.

A must have for anyone doing Crypto!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having dabbled in crypto here and there I have always found it hard to find the best way to keep digital assets secure, all in one place, and yet still easily accessible when you need them for transactions. The Ledger Flex definitely solves some of those issues and makes it easy to transact crypto with a hardware wallet that is dedicated strictly to keeping assets secure yet giving you the ability to use a variety of platforms to actually do the transactions (computer, phone, tablet, etc.). Setup of the wallet is a breeze right out of the box. Just turn it on after setting up the app or the PC Ledger application and follow the prompts. Write down the backup phrases and put them in a safe deposit box at a bank with a note of what they go to so you can recover your wallet in the event it's lost, stolen or damaged. It's super important to keep it safe and follow the recommendations. The service that Ledger offers for backing up is great but I think the most secure method is the paper method with a deposit box at a bank. Once setup, it's easy to setup new hardware wallets for each kind of crypto asset you have and secure. The app requires you to pair the wallet with it each time you want to make an actual transaction. It's pretty smooth an easy to use in terms of hardware wallets whether it's just to hold assets or trade them and Ledger has streamlined this wallet to be strictly that so as not to compromise it's security but adding things to it that your phone can handle instead. The only thing I wish that the hardware wallet had was an option for either a code or a fingerprint reader (or both), to make the transaction process smoother for those that want it. The pin or passcode is likely more secure but perhaps Ledger could add an option to unlock with a code (like before you go shopping) and that unlock lasts a user specified period of time that will allow a fingerprint to unlock the device for transactions and then after that time elapse it would then again require the unlock code. Anyway something like this would make it easier to do transactions when you know you'll be making one and still keep the wallet secure. Either way though, this thing is awesome and there's nothing like it that makes it clean, simple and easy to maintain hardware wallets for the major crypto currencies out there. Ledger also seems to be ready to support additional so your investment in this wallet is also ready for the future through updates that could enable more functionality or other currencies. If you have any crypto or are just getting into it, this is well worth the investment for a number of reasons and I'd absolutely recommend this one!

Secure, easy-to-use crypto hardware wallet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the continuing evolution and prevalence of crypto currencies in today’s economy, the need for a safe, secure wallet to store crypto has never been more important and the Ledger - Flex Crypto Hardware Wallet does a great job of fulfilling this crucial role. Any time money is being invested in something, it is important to make sure that the investment is secure and not at risk of being stolen whether it be something physical or digital. When crypto currencies are purchased, if you intend on keeping what is purchased for an extended amount of time rather than selling them, it is best not to leave them sitting on the exchange they were purchased from because there are ways for thieves to access your account and steal your crypto and once it is gone, there is usually no way to get it back. If you aren’t familiar with using crypto hardware wallets, there is no need to worry or be intimidated when it comes to setting up and using the Ledger – Flex. The setup process was very easy thanks to the step-by-step guide that pops up when you first turn on the Flex. Using the Flex in conjunction with the Ledger Live app on my smartphone made everything simple and I am very impressed with just how easy Ledger has made everything. Aside from securely storing my crypto, one of the other things I really like about the Ledger – Flex is how it can be used as a two-factor authenticator for things like email accounts and even some exchanges. The ability to use NFC for this purpose makes it relatively easy to better secure these important accounts. Overall, I am very impressed with the Ledger - Flex Crypto Hardware Wallet and I highly recommend it!
