So excited to see this movie available on Blu-Ray. One of my favorite movies.

A definite must for anybody's movie collection!!!!

Classic 80s movie. Tom Cruise before Top Gun... It's epic!

A solid movie from the 80s, I was intrigued by it more as a child and now as an adult it was not as interesting, but just okay. I liked the artwork on the sleeve and found the presentation of this edition to be suitable enough.

Ridley Scott directed this fantasy film with a young Tom Cruise and Tim Curry in fantastic makeup. This disc contains both versions of the film and it is a fun fantasy movie with cool creatures and a good soundtrack.

I had hoped it was the theatrical version of the movie legend. It plays well but it was not the version I was looking for. It is my fault too because I have 2 of those version of a movie I love that I don’t like.

I still don't have this item so I'm a bit disappointed. I was very excited to find this version with the original soundtrack, but it has been sitting in KY since I purchased it.

This is wonderful example of a film that is pure fantasy. It doesn't rely on gratuitous violence or language to draw in the older crowds. It's your hero saving the damsel in distress type film which I absolutely love. This collector's DVD was realized about 10 years after the movie first came out, so having many retrospective features were a perfect touch to this DVD. The best feature on the DVD is the never before seen uncut version. I thought the original version was good, but the uncut version was even better. Certain scenes are made longer and the ending is changed a bit, but its all for the better. The original music score is returned, which makes me glad since it is much more fitting than the original pop music score. On this DVD, you can even chose to isolate the music score, so that you can listen to just the music of the film. You get a behind the scenes feature for every creative and technical creative aspect of this film. Interviews, deleted scenes, behind the scenes features, you name it, it's all on this fabulous DVD.

At first I was not happy that this was the movie brought home to watch for Movie Night way back in 1986(?). I was 15 and this was gonna be a joke! At about 10 minutes into the movie, I was grabbed by the ears by this music from another world, and a Devil named Darkness that was too cool for words! I didn't know who Tim Curry was at the time - but even if I would have, there's no way I could've imagined that it was him! The Darkness creature design is TOP NOTCH! A young TC,a beautiful Mia Sara and a gaggle of dwarves, elves became one of my favorite movies and I'm glad it's on BD now. I hope that it will make it to 4K one day as well! Also, if you can find the Tangerine Dream OST - get it!

Waited a long time for this. This movies is a classic and the Tom Cruise and Tim Curry play awesome characters in this film. A must see for those who love film as well. It captures your attention and is very interesting. Worth the price.

This is an outstanding dvd release to a good fairy-tale film that could have been so much better. Openly accepting much of the blame, was Ridley Scott for his uncertainty on how to cut the film. Nevertheless, die hard fans will enjoy this very well put together special edition.

Such an underrated movie from Ridley Scott, a truly great 80's film. Does not get the appreciated it deserves, especially the Director's Cut.
