It's been a great laptop for browsing the internet, paying bills, watching videos. Essentially good for consuming content. It doesn't have the hardware for gaming or heavy application usage. It still functions flawlessly after 2 years of nearly daily usage. Highly recommend for those who want an affordable Windows laptop for fast browsing and light applications.

It's my first Ryzen based system and it performs well, especially since it's paired with an SSD. For basic needs (word processing, video viewing, light photo work, and even a little video editing), you could do much worse than this. The 1080p display is plus, even though the viewing angles are not the best. My recommendation? Buy this, use it to make some money with video or photos, then invest in a more powerful Lenovo later.

You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. Returned - Webcam not good

She also wanted a good webcam to make educational videos for her students, and video chat her friends and colleagues for important meetings. However, this computer is average. It was nice, the speed was good, but the webcam is grainy. It looks like footage from the 1980’s when you try to make videos or video chat. She even thought the picture quality was in “black and white” because the quality was so awful. I was highly disappointed with the webcam. It was also hard to use certain programs because of the Microsoft aspect. If you are not interested in using the webcam for work, meetings, or to video chat your loved ones, than it is a good purchase; other than that I wouldn’t recommend this computer. I returned it yesterday evening after my mother had it for less than a week. I hope the other computer I purchased won’t give her the same problem.

Great laptop for distance learning

This Lenovo laptop was very reasonably priced, and it's done just fine with pretty much all the workloads we've thrown at it. It struggled a bit to edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro at the same time as browsing to some of the heavier JavaScript websites used in our son's math class, but otherwise it's been great. Looks nice too.

And unemployed and I needed a laptop. My TECh guy recommended Lenovo So I went looking at Best Buy for one. Have a great sales rep she was working from home herself,. I explained who I am and my situation and she recommended the little laptop that I have. And it is really good for the price. No complaints I’m thrilled thank you

Great memory to store my pics and videos. The side keypad was major for me and I haven't had any issues since I have had it. The keys and the laptop are large enough for me to see the keys with no issues. Also, Great value for the price. So far, so good.

Downside is built-in web camera is horrible. Max resolution is even less than 600X800. 0.3 megapixel camera not suitable for web business. had to buy an external HD web cam. Laptop hardware OK. Ryzen 3 can handle streaming video for my wife's Netflix habit.

I have a Lenovo for my work laptop so I do have experience with them. The difference from going from an Athlon 8 and standard hard drive in my previous HP to the Ryzen 3 and SSD is amazing! This thing is so much faster! The 8 GB memory is plenty for me, but I believe I can add memory if I need to. The fact that is has no optical drive (I have an external one that I can plug in if necessary) plus it having an SSD really makes this super light weight. Very satisfied with this laptop.

He didn't want to spend a lot of money, but needed something for college. It was easy for him to set up. He isn't really a computer user but this computer is growing on him. I'm not sure if he will ever take it to a class as it is heavier.

I purchased this laptop for my daughter when schools went online. For what she was doing and is still doing you can’t go wrong for the money. The storage, processor and screen are great. It’s pretty light weight. The only thing I can complain about it that I am not fond of the plastic body, but for the price it exceeded my expectations.

Required very little setup. Has a numerical keypad which is very important since I do lot of bookkeeping. Does not have a CD/DVD player which I bought separately since I install several programs and music via CD's. Very happy with this purchase.
