    Great starter platform!

This laptop is great for playing games and work. It's a great starter platform, is ready for a ram upgrade and ssd upgrade. The laptop comes with a tray to mount an HDD or SSD, but no standoff screws! Pros: great cost to value ratio, fans work great to keep the computer cool, surprisingly quiet! One of the best features with this computer has to be the Lenovo Vantage Software, it allows me to keep the battery between 55 and 60% charge to maximize the life of the battery when I'm keeping it plugged in, and optionally allowing it to get a full charge when I need it as well! There's also a rapid charge feature that really changes the game with that, so it's practically no fuss! If I'm getting ready to take the computer somewhere I'm looking at waiting 10-15 minutes for it to get a full charge before I go. That's really good! Battery life while playing games isn't impressive but almost every laptop Yes this laptop is a little 'bulky'. But the fact that it stays cool under load really makes up for that. Cons: Storage, ram, lack of thunderbolt port. Keep in mind that both storage and ram can be upgraded very easily on this laptop. This computer allows me to play Apex Legends at medium to high settings at a steady 70-100FPS.

It's an excellent laptop for the price. It has no competition in that regard. It has an M2 slot to expand storage, and another slot for another stick of RAM, which is much appreciated (not all laptops offer these options). The only thing I don't like very much is the battery life. I have seen that it can be extended, but it is best to be near a socket if it is going to be used for a couple of hours. I give it a 9.7/10. Excellent for the price.

The computer works great as a first time gaming laptop. I would recommend that the charging port and other components need to be upgraded. the computer was just barely a year old and the mother board has oxidation on it from regular use. Now I have a 900 dollar paper weight. But the laptop did run well while it was running.

I bought this laptop for a combination of school and work. I do sometimes play games, and the graphics card does allow for great picture. The only issue I have with the laptop is there are light areas when the screen is dark, as if pressure is being applied in certain spots of the screen. Otherwise, the performance is amazing, and the battery is average. The backlit keyboard has two modes, which is helpful. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who does moderate gaming, or who needs different applications open at the same time for school or work.

I got the 3050ti model for my partner, and it handled the games she plays like a champ. As well as other work she uses it for. My favorite thing about this laptop was the ability to upgrade the RAM and storage. Really easy to unscrew the panel to install an extra stick of 8gb ram to have 16gb, and to install a 2tb m.2 for more storage. Great buy, wish I could have got the 3060ti model.

I love this laptop. Its been able to handle all the games I've thrown at it so far. I will admit that I don't play many AAA games. COD: Warzone, Rust, Apex legends, Forza all run great on this machine. Those are probably the most taxing games I play and I know that isn't saying much. Plan on upgrading the RAM and adding in another SSD in the future but right out of the box, it has met all my needs.

I bought this laptop in 2022. It’s a decent laptop for low end / mid tier gaming really. You can stream and record some games you might record / stream with just about 90 - 80 fps about depending on if it’s a heavy title or not. Though, overall it’s good when it’s on sale. Do not get when not on sale. You can get better for retail price I promise you.

I have been using this laptop for a few weeks. I got it as an all-around laptop for school, some gaming, and other productivity applications as well (some video editing, CAD software). I haven't gotten around to all my use cases yet, though. So far, I really like the laptop, and it is really quiet unless I'm straining the GPU pretty well. Overview: I really like the look of the laptop, minimal branding on the outside, clipped corners. The IO is sufficient with plenty of options for me. The lid opens one handed. And, the webcam has a sliding cover. The body of the laptop does hold on to fingerprints, though. The screen: I'm not the most picky about screens, so I can't really speak to the color accuracy (I know the technical rating isn't great), but I have no problems with it. The 120hz display is really nice, and makes webpages and some games feel very smooth. It has some glare if there is a window behind me, but upping the brightness minimizes the issue. I haven't tried it outside. The keyboard/trackpad: I really like the keyboard, it feels great, responsive, and snappy. I hate condensed keyboards, so the full direction buttons and 10-key are extremely welcome, and the FN keys have a lot of functionality. The backlight is really handy at night. The trackpad is the same; it feels responsive and the various Windows shortcuts (tap/swipe with multiple fingers) make it easy to get around to different programs, etc. Performance: More good news. While it won't run everything at max settings, 120hz, it performs solidly. Older games run great, and easier to run games like CS:GO (I would guess Fortnite, Minecraft, Valorant, etc as well), can do 120hz. Halo Infinite (a very intensive game) is a bit choppy, but it also runs, and upgrading the ram seemed to help a little bit. A lot of the older games I play don't even stress the system. Upgrade-ability: The 256gb SSD wasn't large enough for me, and I wanted to have some headroom on the ram, so I upgraded the laptop with a 1TB m.2 NVME SSD and another 8GB stick of ram. The ram wasn't completely necessary for my use cases (I don't leave extra applications open in the background), but the extra storage has been great. Beware though, a standoff was not included for the extra NVME slot, so you'll need to purchase one. I used M2.O*2.5mm standoffs/screws. The thermal pads for it are included. It also can support a SATA HDD (and probably a SATA SSD), but I forget which is officially listed as compatible. You should be able to use more than 16GB of RAM as well, but I'm not 100% on that. Software: The Lenovo software does have some helpful info and settings, and it doesn't seem to add too much bloat, but it does use a bit of RAM. I removed some other random Windows bloat, but overall it wasn't too bad. Migration software also seems to be available to install from Lenovo, but I didn't try it. Overall, I really like the laptop. It might not be the best of the best, but it feels balanced to me. And, performs well as an all-around laptop for me.
