I can't speak for the quality of the model today as I got it in May 2022 but my laptop is the best I have ever owned. I have had no issues with it. It runs great and I have played heavy games on it. It does struggle a bit with things like Baulder's Gate and I have to shut down all other processes to play it but it *can* play the game with no issue provided I do that. Other than that, it has run like a dream all this time. The light up keyboard is always a fun perk and the size has been great. It's not too heavy compared to some other gaming laptops. The battery life is even still pretty good after all this time. Overall I just really love it. I did a lot of research before selecting the Legion and I'm glad that I did because it was a perfect match for me

Love that the plug ins are all on the back, but extra ones on the sides help too. Super quiet, great graphics card and storage. We've had it for about a month now and its put in a lot of games. 10/10

Need I say more? Considering the price, this beast of a machine is one of the best in its class. Desktops will always be in a league of their own, but for a laptop, I wouldn’t look any further than this one. Thanks Lenovo for your quality products and Best Buy for your quick/secured shipping. Looking forward to ordering more Lenovo products through you guys!

Great cpu/gpu performance! A little heavy and not the greatest speakers, but those are small issues.

I spoke at length with the computer geeks at BestBuy to help my decision. They were extremely knowledgable and as a result a Legion I purchased. No regrets, this laptop is lightning fast, graphics are fantastic and I like having all the necessary ports to plug into rather than needing adapters. I'm not much of a gamer so this laptop is more than capable of anything I'll ever throw at it.

Not a good purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It gets too hot. Play halo infinite for about 6 minutes and it gets too hot to even touch . Lowered all the settings , over clocked all the settings, quiet mode to performance mode and everywhere in between. It just gets so hot it's got to be doing damage to the internal components. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. It's a gaming laptop that can't play any games.

Posted .This Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16 Gaming Laptop, model number 82JQ00QYUS, ships with the
latest generation 8-Core/16-Thread AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 dishing out high-resolution gaming at optimal-frame-rates with the Legion AI Engine and optimally cooled via the Legion Coldfront 3.0 thermal system. If you are getting less than expected cooling at high performance settings, first, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. This includes any legacy software/games you installed from an old computer. Additionally, there is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down, will increase system workload and may overheat your computer. Also, if you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. Here is a link to instructions for uninstalling McAfee from a Windows computer: https://service.mcafee.com/?articleId=TS101331&page=shell&shell=article-view You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed but the issues persist, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Legion Ultimate Support and speak with a Legion Gaming Expert about manually configuring your Power Settings and cooling settings for the maximum performance and cooling of your Legion 5 Pro 16.
