Don’t buy

Doesn’t work with will Call of duty warzone. We are having to buy more tan (16 gb) in hopes of that helping and the CPU isn’t the best either. I would recommend purchasing something else otherwise you’ll just have to spend even more money to get it working properly

The Lenovo Legion 5i has been broken since day one

I will bet money that they will not let it see the light of day, so I am bringing this here. Some of you may have amazing, fully functioning 5i's. I really am stoked for you. Sadly, there are MANY of us who are not so lucky. I purchased my own 5i brand new, from Best Buy. However, I do not fault Best Buy.* THE LENOVO 5i TOWER HAS A KNOWN DEFECT: AN ISSUE W/ THE GPU AND AUDIO DRIVERS THAT RESULTS IN CONSISTENT CRASHING. REPEAT, KNOWN ISSUE. KNOWN BY LENOVO, NVIDIA, ETC. Lenovo, On behalf of all the owners of the Legion T5-28IMB05 Desktop - Type 90NC, why have you not simply recalled this machine? I have spoken with several of your techs who have informed me that your team has been WELL aware of a GPU/Driver issue that results in consistent crashes of this machine. I have been told that both Lenovo and Nvidia are working on a fix. It's been over 2 years. My brand new (at the time), expensive (for me) machine has practically been a lemon since day one. Crashes are not a big deal you say? This is a gaming PC, and every. single. time. it. crashes. I am losing both progress and interest. While you're at it. Would you also care to tell me why support records show my previous cases as "Resolved"!?! We all know this is not the case. Every owner of this machine who is encountering this issue is also very aware of this. Back when I WAS under warranty, the very first technician I spoke with - honestly, an awesome dude, stated he would be following up with me regarding this crash issue, and if it was still a problem, he was going to dispatch a service technician to my house to replace my graphics card. Sadly, he never called, and never again was such an offer even brought to the table. I purchased this rig brand new, from an official Lenovo retailer. Why was a system with a known problem sold in the first place? And listen, I get it. Bad use of the forum. But with no other method of contact available, this was my only option of being heard. Perhaps someone is reading this message, considering purchasing one of your products. It is that individual who is my REAL target audience: My friend, NEVER buy Lenovo. I promise you, I won't. Ever again.

In advance, this is a lengthy response, however we want to give you and other readers of this response as much information as possible to help ensure your issue is resolved should you encounter something similar in the future. We recommend checking for updates through Windows Update settings. These updates can help resolve issues from operating system bugs to driver software improvements. To navigate there, select start on the taskbar (windows logo) or press the windows key on the keyboard then select Settings. In Settings, select Windows Update, and then select the Check For Updates button. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required. If you didn’t have any updates that required a restart, it’s still a good idea to restart your device to make sure any pending updates are installed. Additionally, check for updates in the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled on Windows devices. You can check by opening the app, navigating to the device tab, and selecting the “check for updates” option. Additionally, there may be updates that can be installed for graphics through NVIDIA. If there are updates to install, follow the onscreen directions to finalize those updates. If your issues persists after these steps, we also recommend that you reach out to Lenovo Tech Support at this number for additional assistance to open up another service ticket: 877-453-6686.
