Is this the best gaming laptop? Not quite. But for a budget-friendly option, it’s one of the best you can get. Powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 7235HS CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, this laptop can handle nearly any AAA game at solid settings without issues. With 12GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, load times are fast and multitasking is smooth. Display & Extras: 15.6" Full HD display with 144Hz refresh rate—excellent for gaming at this price. Keyboard backlighting for style and convenience. Software: Only keep Lenovo Vantage and Nahimic; the rest is mostly bloatware. Vantage is handy for keeping BIOS, drivers, and firmware up to date. Performance Modes (via Lenovo Vantage): Optimized: Overclocks components. Generates extra heat and stress, so I avoid it. Balanced: My daily go-to when plugged in—best mix of performance and stability. Best Power Efficient: Auto-set when unplugged. Saves battery, but performance is limited. Downside: Battery life is weak—2–4 hours for basic use like browsing is disappointing. Bottom line: For the price, especially if you can snag a sale or open-box deal, the Lenovo LOQ 15.6" delivers incredible value. Short battery life is a drawback, but performance and features make it a standout budget gaming laptop. Plus most people will have it plugged in at most times.

This laptop is a great purchase for someone on a budget. Picked it up on sale and have been happy ever since. I did upgrade the ram to 32 gbs and since doing that I’ve seen a major improvement in speed and performance. Plays the games I love at max settings while still getting good fps. Definitely recommend if you don’t have a lot to shell out for a higher end laptop.

Not without strength! It’s a nice screen and the keyboard is well backlit and a good design in terms of F keys. Graphic are meeting expectation though I am not pressing it. I like the durable feel but it is a tank — hopefully, I never drop it on my toe! The batter seems short lived as presently configured — I do use the keyboard lit. It was $650 tax and shipping included so my expectations are met. Looks like I have to buy a USB-C charger aftermarket as it comes with a proprietary connector that I’ve not seen. Ports are mostly on the back and that’s refreshing. One month in and I am happy with the purchase.

Everything is good, I like the design and layout. The speed it good. However, when I plug it in to charge it the fans go crazy and I’m unsure if that’s normal or not.

Out of the box it's a solid laptop. The hard drive is a little on the small size and the ram is pretty low. But those are 2 very easy fixes. After upgrading both this laptop runs like a dream And I can play most of the games I enjoy. The battery life is very poor but for the price I'm fine with it. QwaAADC

Works pretty well though a RAM of 16 GB would do better than 12 GB for that price range. Also, on the downside, battery runs down fast. I like the two levels of lighting in the backlit keyboard makes working in different light conditions much friendly to the eyes

Great little laptop for 1080p gaming at medium settings out of the box. I installed a 1 TB NVMe and more RAM, and can comfortably game at high settings with Discord running as well. Good value for the price as long as you know what to expect.

I bought this knowing what it was, and for that, it’s great. It’s a lower end gaming laptop that can handle most higher end games at medium settings. Battery life isn’t great and ssd is small, but again, low end. I use an external HD and just keep it plugged in.

Very good at gaming for the price i got it for. Great for any office task. Very fast and responsive. The battery life is decent and sometimes the laptop gets noticeably warm while charging, but I'd say it's expected for any laptop with a decent GPU.

It’s a great laptop Intel 13th-gen or AMD Ryzen 7000-series CPUs, and RTX 40-series GPUs (up to RTX 4060) the heating issue is bad it gets really hot just idling in a backpack so make sure to shut it down

Good computer, runs things smoothly. Battery and storage space are less than what i'd hoped, but there are worse things. Fans kick up pretty high, but doesn't overheat.

Excellent workstation for academic work! Good speed and performance all around.

It’s good for playing , editing ,work and more

The battery life is on the lower end when gaming, but when not gaming it does last a lot longer. The speed and display are amazing!! I was surprised how fast this computer is compared to my old one. The display is a 144 hrtz which is pretty decent. The only thing that i don't like is the track pad. If i disable it'll some how get enabled again. I don't know if its the operating system or the computer. The best thing is the switch between different settings, from gaming to quiet mode. This is Lenovo's settings not anyone else's. 10/10 would recommend!

Love this laptop, it is a nice upgrade from my RTX 3050. A lot of people hate on the RTX 4050 but the DLSS and frame gen helps it perform greatly and look beautiful with some fair settings on. I had mine on high while playing Death Stranding and I was blown away. The smart battery life feature is really good on preserving charge and there are active Lenovo agents here in the best buy website to answer any questions you may have, very beginner friendly. :) It's helped me a lot to know how to upgrade the hardware. Also the spacious exterior design for the inputs does not get enough praise, I sometimes forget that it's plugged in from not being able to see it on my side lol. I would highly recommend to get the laptop while it's on sale, that is what I did, the price goes down a good amount. I also recommend when you aren't playing to unplug your charger so that it preserves even more of your battery life. Good luck on your search!

A good computer if you need one on a budget a few pros, the screen is huge i love that, the keyboard does light up, and good quality. Cons are, the computer does get hot(no fan sound though) , HEAVY, does too quick especially if youre on for a few hours a day. Ended up returning the 3 stars are being generous lol

Rather that person asked me if I needed help or the ones that finished helping me. I had a good experience shopping there. My laptop is by far the best electronic that I can actually say. Hands on. Is the best I have ever experienced. It had everything I was looking for in my laptop for my needs. It has been so rewarding to finally be able to use Meta desktop tools. I could not have gotten this smile on my face without the awesome help of the awesome employees that are there with a smile and a helping hand. I just want to say thank you for your service and helping kind hand in guiding me to the right laptop. If I could rate more than 5 stars. I would. Here's to being and doing a great job!
