The new one also didn’t work and they wanted to charge me to fix it at geek squad and wouldn’t take the return. Both times this computer goes blue screen and requires a code that was not provided

To start, regarding your issue with battery – as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and in gaming laptops that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the dedicated GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the Lenovo Vantage app > top right box > GPU working mode, then choosing your preferred method. Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even more power conservation.
With graphics performance, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well. Also, you can press the Fn + Q keys as mentioned previously to boost performance, along with adjusting VRAM in the system BIOS.

I called over a week later as my laptop was not received and it was urgent only to be told those delivery times were for AFTER the machine was built and ready for shipping. It is taking nearly two weeks to build a regular laptop with zero modifications! Not well communicated on the website or clear. I could have gone to a store if I’d known it would take this long. Will not use the site again.

Great Laptop, but Mind the Price

As of writing this, it is not longer on "sale" and priced at $800. There are far, FAR better options at this price point. However, on sale, at under $500, it was a bargain. Perfect laptop for someone who wants to do some light gaming on the go and office work.

Makes just about any game really smooth while using discord! Highly recommend!

Beware no iGPU - battery will tank
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This CPU is weak in that it is only 4 cores/8 threads, is Zen 3+ instead of the latest Zen 4, and most importantly has no iGPU so it will use the NVIDIA card 100% of the time therefore tanking battery life. Only buy if you plan to leave this plugged in all the time. The rest of the machine is fine nothing impressive. Only buy if you know what you're getting into.
