It was a replacement for a laptop with a 17-inch screen that was too unwieldy. It also lacked an antiglare screen. This computer is really fast, has a ton of storage space and the screen is viewable even in broad daylight. It's the perfect size for working in a confined space - any space really. I wanted a 14 -inch Ideapad that was on the Lenovo site during the Black Friday sale. It sold out immediately and I was disappointed until I found this one. Now I am happy that I didn't get what I thought I wanted. About the only thing missing is a backlit keyboard

Great Laptop For College

At the start of the year it was used very minimal as I was going in person, however due to covid I have used it more extensively. This is my first laptop with a 15.6 inch screen. I find the screen display pleasing and I didn't have a hard time reading the small print. Pros: The laptop is very quiet and doesn't make very much noise when it starts up. The display is very appealing and can be adjusted as needed. The laptop performs pretty well with more than one program running. Since I started my graphic design classes it has pushed this laptop to the test. The camera is decent quality. The laptop has 1TB of memory which is great for having to save a lot of assignments. Cons: Though the screens overall display is pleasing once in a while I get a weird green box on my screen that goes away after a minute. The microphone on the laptop isn't very clear and makes audio recorded sound fuzzy at times. The speakers aren't very loud. I would suggest using headphones to be able to hear videos. The laptop does run a little slow when running different programs. The camera on the laptop often blacks out and the laptop has to be restarted to fix it. Overall the laptop preforms to expectation for the price. I have enjoyed using this laptop for college. Though with needing to run more programs for graphic design I might have to upgrade.

My only complaint is that it has the MAX memory supported (12Gig) installed. That is the only upgrade I wish could be done. This computer is relatively fast when loading web pages. Wireless runs average 138 to 155GB with comcast (100GB-rated-runs faster, most do). Very good performance. The Quad CPU with the 12Gigs memory gives me all the performance I need for now, at a low price as well. I did pay reg price $529., and still worth it. Touch is nice, set up a breeze. Wireless Epson 810 printer, well no need to install software. W10 finds printer, then loads drivers and ready to print in a breeze. Really like this one and recommend it to others. Plus now on sale 11/10 $50 off you can't go wrong with this one. Decent performance, good value as well, = happy customer..

I had replaced once and now it not covered. Don’t waste your time or money on this. I paid for it to get new hardware and drive but then it works fine then two months it won’t load up and stops working.

I understand that it should have a backlit keyboard, but no... for $ 200 you can get it. This laptop is smaller than others of 15.6 for having very thin screen frames, this makes it very very comfortable, compact and relatively light. The screen is sharp, with good brightness and the touch responds well. The touch of the keyboard has left me satisfied. The perceived quality is that of a good product for the price. The AMD Ryzen processor is excellent, very fast and if you want one of intel that performs the same, you must spend more than $ 250 ... it's your money, you decide! I hope you understand, since I wrote this in Spanish and use google traslate.

It came with 1TB of HDD storage, 12GB at 2667MHz (not 2400MHz, but still happy with the added speed), and Windows 10 S, not Windows 10 Home which was specified on the product specs. It was fairly simple to get the full version of Windows 10 Home and had no issues after. I was a bit disappointed when I noticed that it didn't have a backlit keyboard as specified in the product details and features. But overall, the quality of the product is great and I'd recommend the S300 series to any student at a midrange budget.

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.excellent product, i usually get HP but went with something different. this was the 4th laptop i got my wife in about 10 years as the old one was getting really slow. so i wanted to make sure she had more then enough memory and that it would boot up fast. so after some research this laptop had space for m.2 so added the samsung m.2 pro. had it done there at best buy as to not void the warranty. I did the transfer of info from the old ssd to the m.2 and it was super easy and fast. the m.2 just made the laptop even better.

Perfect for Students

However, due to the limitations of iOS I needed something that could run full versions of Office and other applications. I didn't want to break the bank with a Mac or even a Microsoft laptop so I took a gamble with this Lenovo. One of the main dealbreakers for me was having a numeric pad because I crunch a lot of numbers. I love this laptop because it does everything I need it to do: use Office products, Spotify, email, and browse the web. Some cons I have is that it takes too long to start up from sleep mode so you're better off just shutting it down completely. Battery is nothing to brag about either but for the price what'd you expect. I average 4-6 hours depending on what I'm doing and it's fine in my situation since my iPad is still my main driver. Honestly, after owning this laptop I find it absurd that college students spend over $1,000 on Macs just to do what this laptop can handle just as well for half the price.

I have played the racing game Assetto Corsa with an XBOX controller without lag. Got a little hot but the laptop was on for 3 hours prior to gaming. The laptop is light and has a small foot print for a 15". The touch screen is stiff but not too stiff. Many smaller laptops with touch screens feel delicate, this can be moved with one hand with little flex. Hard drive stays quiet even though it is a 5400 SATA. 128gb ssd is just too small for me but the price for 256 GB SSD is much higher. If you want an all around decent performer in a smaller but not too small package this may be worth checking out.

Nice upgrade from my last computer

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long story short, instead of upgrading my now 10 year old laptop to windows 10 (from windows 7) I decided to just get a new computer all together even though it was running like a champ still, but the windows 7 support ending is what pushed me. Specs were similar except my old Asus which was fast even at 10 years old but the Lenovo had twice the internal HD space and a slightly faster over clock speed. So far after setting it up and using it a bit, I do really like it. I have it for just day to day use but at times demand a lot of my PC so I like to have something that is over engineered for the majority of my usage. Display is nice, I also use an external monitor (well...a tv), sound quality from it's speakers is good, although I do have it hooked up to a full range desk stereo for audio. Keyboard and keys are nice and crisp and respond well to any and all input. I do quite a bit of gopro video editing and having the SD card slot is great for that as I can pull and edit video footage while the camera/batteries recharge. For the usual usage of email, work, social media, and small amounts of video editing, it's perfect and is way more capable than what the majority of my needs are. Overall it's a great product that will handle day to day tasks even handle some programming work and gaming if you do some of that for fun. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone seeking out a light PC that has solid performance capabilities and is looking for a budget friendly option.

I like the size of the touchscreen which is an upgrade from my last one. It is very light weight as well. I only use my laptop for personal/home use so I don't need a lot of extras. I would recommend this computer.
