Customers praise the Smart Tab M10's sound quality, ease of use, and Alexa integration. Many appreciate its large screen size and find it to be a good value for the price. However, some users report issues with Bluetooth connectivity and find the limited storage capacity to be a drawback. The low RAM is also a point of concern for some customers.

I’m a huge fan of the Lenovo brand and their products, but when it comes to make a tablet that is comparable to the iPad, it still has a way to go.
It’s Pros, are it’s compatible and can interface greatly with Amazon based-Alexa friendly products.
It’s a very enticing price and the “Bluetooth” speaker is a nice added touch included with this device.
Now unfortunately, it’s Cons, which outweigh the cons.
- Bluetooth and WiFi doesn’t work well with Hot-Spots, especially if you are trying to have play movies or shows for your children.
- The Bluetooth Speaker only work when connected to a plug-in source, it would be a lot better if there were a way that it could be used additionally without having it plugged in.
- The response is slow and can lag when navigating apps. It’s response time to open and use the tablet is extremely frustrating.
Lenovo’s M10 tablet should be more fluid and easy to use to open, maneuver and cycle through apps.
Overall, it’s a decent tablet, but I travel a ton and if you need a tablet that’s designed for adults and especially for Children to use, spend the extra money and get an iPad.
That’s exactly what I did a month later and my child is much happier with that arrangement.
If you’re patient and are a fan of Android products then, this is a decent starter tablet to use or if you don’t plan on using more than for the Alexa based options for this product without the huge price tag.. then go for it.
M10 tablet from Lenovo has potential but it has a long way to go in terms of trying to dethrone the iPad.

We appreciate your feedback on the Smart Tab M10. I'm sorry you are experiencing some issues with your device. There are several things that can effect performance on an Android tablet. If there are several apps running at the same time, or apps running in the background can cause this type of effect. Speed/laggy performance can also be caused by the number of WiFi devices connected and the internet speed that you have as well. So I recommend checking all those first. We also recently pushed out a software update that should resolve the Bluetooth disconnect you are experiencing. Please ensure that your device is fully updated as well. For additional support, feel free to reach out to our customer support team @ 877-453-6686.

I own echo show 2, 2 echo, 3 spots in my home.
This does exactly that. However, once the screen is no longer in the dock, Alexa does not work.
The screen MUST BE DOCKED for Alexa to wake up or be used.
Also, the most dim mode is still far too bright to be by a bedside. And saying Alexa GoodNight only makes it 1|2 dim then goes to default brightness.
This along with the 3GB ram is horrible. Simple games like words with Friends it yahzee lag compared to my spare 2017 ZTE phone I typically use for passing time in bed.
The speaker is nice and should work for most, but compared to an Echo Show 2 (or even 1) it does not compare.
It sounds more like an original echo but with less bass.
The concept is nice but as I sat in bed, lifting the screen from the dock, and tried to set an alarm...
It was easy to realize it'll be returned when I needed to dock it, wait for BT connection, then ask, then lift it out, then resume what I was doing. All with lag time.
Not for me
Also, 16GB was more like 8GB free after the system uses what it needs to.
I has 3GB free after all my apps were loaded. (apps only, no photos, no music, no videos)
Gotta go.
I'd rather have a Dot and an actual tablet.

The Alexa Built-In feature works best while the tablet is docked, however you can also use Alexa functions when the tablet is undocked by toggling over to Show Mode in the Android drop down menu. Great sound, and nice to have the tablet available in the living room to control smart home devices. I have had issues with it staying connected to the dock (bluetooth), but this is apparently fixed by turning off the battery optimizer for bluetooth. The other issue is that as an Alexa device, it does not play well in terms of responses. With Amazon-built devices if you have more than one, the one closes to you answers. This one answers regardless. Sometimes when I am in the other room. It's a little aggravating and I have taken to muting it to resolve the issue since you cannot change the default name (Can't call it computer or Echo... only Alexa). Also, you cannot add this device to Alexa groups for playing music.

The concept of this device is great, but the performance leaves a lot to be desired. It's not a fast device by any means and because of this, the overall experience is hindered. Understand that this is a low end budget tablet with a solid Bluetooth speaker (when it works)!
It takes a while for the tablet to recognized when it's docked. I could never get to Bluetooth to reliably connect like it was suppose to. Also the speaker didn't really play back in stereo. The left speaker was the back of the speaker and the right speaker was the front. I'm not sure if that is intentional or if my unit was faulty.
With the 2gb of ram you'll find that you'll never really be able to multi-task on this device. You can't have 2 apps open in the background without it reloading them. The 16gb of storage only ends up being about 10gb of actual use and will quickly fill up. Just know what you're getting.
I'm not sure what the idea of this device is. Maybe as an amazon device alone it's okay, but even then I think one would be better off buying an actual Echo device. There would be no need to fiddle around with Bluetooth or even making sure your device is actually docked. I think if Lenovo offered a better tablet device and worked out the kinks it would be decent, but as of now it isn't a smart choice.

I'm very Impressed with this Tablet - Dock combination. It was an Open Box and i did not encounter any issues. The dock's speakers deliver powerful Dolby Sound. The only downsize was the 16GB capacity. I ended up uninstalling apps i don't use often to make space and after that, it runs way much better. Sometimes had issues connecting the Dock via Bluetooth, but seems to be gone after Updating to the latest Android Operating System Version.

We really loved the idea, size, and sound of this tablet speaker however Alexa is very slow and trying to run an app seems to take along time. Unfortunately we did end up returning it as my hubby got it for me to be more hands free in the kitchen and it just wasn’t able to meet that criteria.

We're so sorry to hear the Alexa function was running slowly. We've recently pushed out an update that improved Alexa functionality. There are also several things that can effect speed on an Android tablet. If there are several apps running at the same time, or apps running in the background, this can cause lagging or a slower speed. Also if there are large files on the tablet, this can slow them down too. I really like the concept of have a 10.1 inch tablet that I could doc and use as an alarm clock but there are some problems. When you connect it to the doc, sometimes it won't connect and you have to pull it out the doc and reconnect it and it is very slow at times. 2GB of ram isn't going to cut it. Other then those problems it is a solid device

I bought this tablet for my grandparents to be able to video chat with them during this pandemic.
Pros:
-Dual speakers on the front can get loud, so they are able to clearly hear us during video calls as well as hear it when it rings.
-Front-facing camera is decent. I am able to see grandma/pa full face when they are holding it.
-Even with the 'Alexa - Show Mode for Lenovo' app disabled, the dock is still able to charge the tablet and is a great tablet stand for safe keeping.
Cons:
-The smart dock speaker will not work without having the 'Alexa - Show Mode for Lenovo' app enabled. I was hoping this would not be the case since Alexa isn't needed nor wanted, but I was not able to figure it out. If anyone can get the speaker to work without any Alexa app, let me know.

This tablet is average at best, not fast at all but will get the job done. The highlight is definitely the dock. The sound is very good from such a small speaker. The alexa integration works but then you can also use google home so you have options. I mostly use it for Netflix and YouTube. Note, the included memory will fill up fast

I own the Google Home Lenovo Hub and it has performed very well. It was also twice the price. I bought this on sale for $150 and I regret every moment of it. It was an attempt to test Alexa vs Google Home, here are the issues in just the minimal time we have tried to use it. The tablet disconnects EVERY 3 mins. No matter what update, roll back of firmware, reset, factory reset, etc, it does this. The dock is bluetooth, but Alexa does not integrate with it. It disconnects when you move it, even with the faintest touch. It shouldn't be physically connected through the charging pins, it should be bluetooth, yet it's not. The table is slow. Alexa is baked in as well, even if you uninstall the Play Store app, and it continually causes issues. Now, the tablet won't even connect to wifi, I must reset all data for a 7th time. Other things: it's flimsy, the volume of the smart assistant is dramatically louder than that of Netflix or videos, so it must continually be adjusted, and it seems to freeze or have some new error EVERY morning we come down to it. This is, literally, a giant hunk of crap and I own so many tech gadgets, smart equipment, etc etc, but this is the first I've felt obligated to warn others. Buy the Lenovo smart clock or Lenovo Google Home hub, do not buy Alexa integrated crap from them. ONLY buy Alexa from Amazon products, trust me. Alexa cannot even open Netflix, yet Google can, and that's also just one of many functions that I notice, however, Amazon hardware seems to have better mics. Good luck

Bluetooth doesn't connect at times and will disconnect at times. The Bluetooth speaker bar comes with the tablet perhaps, because the speakers on it are below baseline standards. Even at the highest setting, the volume does not project enough for zoom meetings, music, games, etc. The tablet takes a long time to open any application online or off-line. At times touch sensor will not respond at all. All unused apps removed, storage cache removed, put to sleep unused apps, trouble shooting, problems continue.
Recap:
1. Bluetooth speaker connection issues.
2. Tablet speaker issues.
3. Slow processor
4. Touch sensor issues

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Smart Tab M10, model number ZA480121US. To correct these issues, first be sure that the Android Operating System is up to date. Here is a link to instructions for checking for updates for your Android Smart Tablet: https://support.google.com/android/answer/7680439?hl=en. Once you have checked for updates and installed any that are available, now restart the tablet and try the Bluetooth connectivity and speaker performance. If the Bluetooth connectivity issue continues, then try this: 1. Undock the Tablet from the DOCK. 2. Forget Previous connection or/and current Connection in Settings/Connected devices. 3. Swipe up from the bottom in launcher to Recent APP interface, Choose ‘Clear all’ in Recent APP. 4. Restart the tablet. 5. Dock the Tablet again (Do not set up dock by Alexa APP, Do not touch the ALEXA app and Notification popped from ALEXA anymore). Now try the Bluetooth connectivity to see if the issue has been resolved. If not, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support for Tablets at: 866-426-0911.

I'm rather disappointed in this product, and have already replaced it with a better tablet. If you're using it for Amazon apps, like Alexa or Prime Music, it's fine, but for surfing the internet or other applications, forget it. The screen is slow and almost unresponsive, and the processor is slow. I swear, I used to have WebTV with a dial-up connection that was faster than this thing. The sound quality is pretty good, as is the video, but I can't recommend this. I've always been disappointed in Lenovo products, and will never buy this brand again.

Having a tablet that can be used as a little tv for my kid to watch Netflix, for my self to control smart devices around the house and serve as a picture frame and music player for my wife were all selling points but this tablet it's super slow the processor and memory are lackluster.
So bad we want to love it but if Lenovo could've charge 50 to 100 dollars more to slap in better memory and processor to make it perform as good as a galaxy tab I wouldn't mind paying the price difference.
Right now it only works as picture fram and music player.

Hi there! I see you have the lowest spec for storage. You can add more memory to your device with a microSD card for up to 256GB of additional space. As for slow performance, if there are several apps running at the same time, or apps running in the background, this can cause lagging. Speed or lagging is also directly related to the internet speed that you have as well. You may want to check with your internet provider to see what speed you are getting. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer service team @ 877-453-6686 if you need any help or assistance.

I only been using this tablet for a few days. I wanted to get a new tablet. Mind you switching from Samusung Note Pro. This Lenovo Smart Tablet isn't bad at all. The reason I went for this tablet because of Alexia and the price. Trust me I read a lot of the reviews. Especially getting Alexia to work without being in show mode when its taken off the docking station. Set up did take a little time. If you follow the experts advise you will have no problem. Make sure you get a case cover as well. I will do an update in 2wks.

Ok so first few days were great, the tablet connected to the doc with no issues and it sounded great! Apps were running smoothly and downloaded very fast.... A few days later it no longer wanted to connect to the doc....i would watch YouTube and Netflix and only download 2 apps. The speaker would sound like it was a lot of static and then stop after 2 to 3 mins. Apps would close in the middle of it being used and sometimes would not start back up...even after restarting the tablet...for a $200 tablet i expected it to work much better and since it was a $200 tablet after a week I returned it. No way was I going to continue to use it these sorts of problems.

I got this for my 7 year old, so the things I don’t like about it aren’t noticed by him. Really my only complaint is that when it’s on the dock it says to keep it on the dock because the Bluetooth is pairing. It almost always says that, even when it’s paired. I bought this as an open box item at a reduced price though. I’m guessing this is the reason it was returned.

This tablet is extremely slow. Lags, after it was updated with nothing installed, continued to lag and was a headache. I wanted it simply for my kitchen, the docking station was what sold me, it does provide with good sound. But I cannot even operate the tablet due to its slow response. The tablet is just as advertised, good solid product from Lenovo. I do like the port, pairs quickly with the tablet and the speakers are decent (great for watching Netflix or Amazon in bed). Bonus, there is a mute button, so if you want privacy it's there. I think my expectations for Alexa were a little high, I already have an echo plus and thought it would be more interconnected with the apps on my tablet. Alas, if you want an echo show you need to go get one. It sometimes bringing up extra information on the screen but not much different than my standard non-video Alexa device. There may be tricks I have yet to learn to improve my access.
