My 13.3" Lenovo Yoga 2 is like working on a large tablet with all the robust features that an I5 processor has to offer. I run the Adobe Creative Suite for my web design work and the full version of MS Office. You can't do that with even the best tablets. I can tap on the various widows that I have open with the tablet screen. Toggling between windows 8.1 and the more traditional desktop environment is easy with keyboard shortcuts. The compact design makes the Yogo 2 convenient to carry from room to room or tuck in a bag. -thinkcreatego

The Laptop performs as represented. It is compact and has a fast processor. It's a light weight unit which makes it easy to carry when going out. I would recommend the unit to anyone who does not need a laptop with CD drive.

I bought this computer for my son for college. This laptop is awesome. (Last November 2014, I bought a Mac Air with Thunderbolt. I was not really Mac person but having an iPhone made me go for it. I WISH I had bought this Lenovo instead.)
It is a little pricier than some computers available for college, but here are the good points:
-It is called a 2 in 1 because it folds back on itself making it useable similar to a tablet
-It has a touch screen in addition to the touchpad. For Windows 8 computers, having a touch screen makes it much easier to navigate around
-It has solid state components so it is pretty much instant-on instead of a long wait time to start working on the computer
-It is fast in general
-Comfortable weight-there are probably lighter weight laptops out there, but this one is a great weight.

I bought this after graduating from a college that provided me with a laptop for study. they first provided us with an HP tablet laptop that had a touchscreen and swiveled around to become a tablet instead of a laptop. This Ultrabook gives me nearly the same experience as that just at a much higher quality. The touchscreen is awesome and the solid state hard drive is the best. It doesn't heat up super fast and it has absolutely no sound. the battery life is exceptional and the charge time is super quick. I love the windows setup and even though this was my first time using it, I found it very easy to learn.

I purchased the Lenovo Yoga after ruling out an ASUS model and the Surface Pro. The Best Buy associate was very helpful in assisting me in making a decision. The 2 - 1 features work as advertised and the solid state drive boots up and shuts down so quickly it makes my Dell Studio 17 seem even slower than it is. I like the lightweight of the Yoga as that was a primary concern given that I want to lighten the load on my back. The touch screen and touch pad have been the biggest adjustment for me and even required a return trip to Best Buy for some guidance. Both are extremely sensitive and I was finding myself on other pages than where I intended to be or out of the application I was working with. I also had to adjust to Windows 8.1 from Windows 7 Pro at the same time and that added to my confusion. The Lenovo is almost too large to use as a reading tool in my lap and I find that I'm still relying on my Nexus 7 despite Lollipops ongoing efforts to make it a useless tool. The Yoga traveled well on our recent trip and the battery life was excellent. I've also started carrying it back and forth to outside work meetings rather than the very heavy Dell. At other times, I connect the two computers from home to my office using Team Viewer and that has worked great.

The Yoga 2 13 is quite the machine; It has decent battery life, speedy enough to run most of what you through at it, has a wonderful slim profile, and a gorgeous 1080p screen.
I've had no issues with it, although I wasn't quite aware of the SSD space when I bought it (less than 70 GB are available after windows is installed) and is something I plan to upgrade, but is not too bothersome at the moment, since major space eaters like music files are limited to streaming services with me.
I absolutely love the keyboard on it. It is just the right amount of click to it, having a wonderful feeling to it. Although, the backspace key is awkwardly placed and sized. Also, while the trackpad is fairly accurate and sensitive it is sometimes too sensitive. I'll just barely touch the sides of it and the charms bar or the previous app will display
The screen and touch capabilities are fantastic. The 1080p screen is brilliant and vibrant, at least to my eye. Touch makes Windows 8.1 bearable (looking forward to using 10 on the machine). I really enjoy using the touch screen and I find myself using it over the track pad sometimes simply due to the over sensitivity of it.
The dual hinge seems very sturdy. Transitioning between the different "modes" works fine. The OS takes a moment at times to recognize the change in layout, but otherwise it's smooth. The tablet mode is quite nice, one you get used to the loose keys on the reverse side.
Overall, I would definitely recommend. If 70GB is not enough for you to work with, I'd look for a model with a larger SSD.

It's an amazing laptop!!! So nice that it is versatile and can go from a laptop to a tablet. I definitely don't need a tablet so that saves me a lot of money! The touch pad is a tad sensitive but everything else is great!!! Just wish I had paid more attention to no cd drive and that the sales associate would have told me I needed to purchas one separtely after I'm given many different cdroms to download on to it. I can't wait to go back to school and use it and my 3 year old can use it easily!

I'm a long time Mac user and bought this laptop for my wife because she just started going back to school. After setting it up for her and getting myself familiar with Windows 8 I was impressed. This laptop is fast. It also looks really really good and it is very light weight. I've never had any extended time with a touch screen computer and after only a few minutes I clearly got the gist of how much easier a touch screen is compared to always having to use a track pad. The battery life is great and the backlit keyboard is a huge plus! The cherry on top is the 360 flexible hinges. Using this computer in tablet or presentation mode is actually very useful. I always thought it was a gimmick until my wife used it to watch a series of videos for one of her biology classes. I can't say I have anything negative to say about this laptop. It meets all her needs, which says a lot because my wife is picky. It also left a long time Mac user thoroughly impressed which is hard to do to Apple fanboys like me. Well done, Lenovo! Well done.

Its been years since we purchased a new computer because we didnt quite know what we needed. The Lenovo is lightweight, touch screen, which is great for my husband who has a tremor and with the additioal programs we added, it surpasses what we had !! We were originally looking at the Microsoft but everything seemed to be additional. Would definitely recommend. We also got it on sale, which is an added bonus.
Thanks for the opportunity to review our purchase.

Love my Lenovo Yoga 2 2-in-1. Have had it about 2 months and no issues to report. Not too much bloatware. A few Lenovo programs that were actually quite useful. Love the portability. Great as a tablet replacement or my "work from home" computer. The 128G solid state drive is amazingly fast. I wish I would have gotten the 256G. It has certainly made me change the way I manage data, which in the end is good. I have my files from work on my OneDrive and am definitely on the way to being much more mobile. Big thumbs up here!

I really like this laptop, the only thing that I don't like is that the trackpad is a little small and seems to have a few kinks in it. I'll often be scrolling down and a side menu will come up as if I swiped in from the side. This shortcut is pretty annoying when you're trying to scroll. The other annoyance is how my palm may touch the trackpad while I'm typing and then it think I'm moving my mouse and it moves the cursor or pulls in a side menu. The only other complaint would be the speakers are pretty quiet and not located in the best spot. I think that they should be on the sides of the computer since it converts from a laptop to a tablet. Otherwise a well built computer. Could use some more hard drive space too.

Been using and building computers for 20 years, even sold them for Circuit City. Moved to laptops about 4 years ago because I don't game much anymore, This is a replacement for my HP 17" that cost me more than $1000 in 2011, and it's my first Ultrabook. It's fast, the screen is super sharp, boots quicker than I had ever experienced before, love the tablet mode, battery life is good, much better than my old HP. Great all around laptop, it's the perfect size for me. The only two issues I have are that the SSD is only 128GB, and the whole spyware thing with Lenovo. But, I also use a 2TB hard drive, so it's not a deal breaker. And Best Buy was gracious enough to send me an email with instructions for removing the spyware, so no big concern. I'd recommend the Yoga wholeheartedly

At home, typically work on laptop for work related items and then switch to my tablet for non-work related browsing or social media. This product allows you to do any type of work/play conveniently at desk or sitting on the couch. Hesitated on purchasing in the past due to concerns about going to Windows 8.1 as some folks say it cripples their productivity at first. While it was new to me, I had it "figured out" after using it the first day. If you have been using Windows 7 for some time and you are relatively weak on computers, you might be confused. However, most folks will readily "get it."
Also, the solid state hard drive provides for a lightening fast start up. Was choosing between this "2 in 1" and a similarly equipped and price Dell that had a larger hard drive; but was not solid state (believe that is the term). Booted them up and the difference in start up time was tremendous. if waiting for you system to boot is frustrating to you, make sure to choose a unit that has a solid state hard drive

This laptop checks every box for me. I debated whether or not to get a "convertible" ultra-book or just a traditional clamshell ultra-book and I'm glad I went with the convertible. I've only had it a couple weeks but I've already found a use for every mode (i.e. stand, tablet, tent). Most of the annoyances come from Windows 8.1 which is just Microsoft being Microsoft. I have big hands so I accidentally activate the touchpad with some regularity so that is annoying but nothing that is a deal breaker. I paid 820.00 open box w/ 8 gig ram, 128 SS HD, 13" and I think the thing now retails for about 1020.00 with my configuration. Anyways, This is an awesome machine and I am 100% satisfied. I highly recommend it even at full price for new.

Pros –
Solid state hard drive fast loading times
8 GB Ram
Great integrated graphics card
Cons-
limited Hard drive space.
The on board speakers are quite.
The hard dive is not that big, but load times are fast, This works for me cause I use it for school and a couple games on the side(runs league and Planet side on high end with no lag). The Resolution on the screen is very sharp and the laptop weighs next to nothing making it very mobile. I wouldn't recommend using this to watch movies unless using headphones or plunging it into auxiliary speakers. The touch screen is a novel idea but as of right now not much use, but that may change. Buy this for Work/school or gaming, not for movies
