I only went to see this movie because I had loved Kodi-Smit McPhee and Chloë Grace Moretz in other movies and loved their performances. What I saw in the theater was a revelation! Deeply engrossing, layered, and beautiful filmmaking! As expected, the two kids were incredible. The whole movie depends on them...and they deliver. I can't imagine any other actors pulling off what they did. Hardly does it justice to call it "a vampire movie". It seems so much more than that. You'll find that you are asking important questions about the very nature of good and evil. This one is a must-see if you're a fan of great acting, direction, cinematography, and story. It's taken a spot on me personal "all time" list.

The story focuses on a young outcast boy and his new friend who turns out to be a vampire. Each is the only friend that the other has. This is not the typical vampire story, partially because it is about a 12 year old vampire. It is a vampire story, but also so much more. It is about bullying, friendship, courage, and self growth.

This movie is a good flick for horror fans! If you have seen "Let The Right One In," then you probably already know what to expect from this one. In my opinion, this version is a lot better then the European one. This shows more blood in the film than the other and it's what to expect from a horror movie.

Really the movie its great!!! But the image shown on the product its the TRANSLUCENT SLIPCOVER and also the main reason i bougth ir in the first place!!! and it came without it!! so i think its not right thing to do, showing something that its not... not happy at all!!! BESTBUY, PLEASE do more 3d STEELBOOKS

Purchased this movie for my niece, who's a junior in high school, off her wish list. Was a bit suprised at how dark it is. First, and really the most disturbing, is the extreme bullying that takes place at the school. It's hard to believe that the teachers don't know what's going on. Second, the vampire killings to survive. They do seem to show remorse at having to kill, and they only kill to stay alive...unlike in some other films where it seems they just kill to kill.

Picked this up for under $5. A steal!! I highly recommend it, as well as the original. Remakes are usually not as good. This one is just as good and just enough different to stand on its own. Enjoy!!

Great "new" story about a vampire and her relationship with her human helper/keeper and the relationship with her new helper/keeper. Worth owning.

A must for all Horror fans that loves a good spine tingling movie night with family and friends. Great story and special effects.

I love suspenseful movies and this is just another one of those great watch it in the dark kinda movie. Loved it.

Usually American horror rankes are terrible, but this was good. The original was better, but I hink this is worth seeing.

I really loved watching this movie. I am sure it'll be a classic. It may be a remake though, I'm not really sure.

Slow start but all in all a good movie. Chole does good as vampire and looks just as scary whens she turns, a must see.
