The unit is a good microwave, it reheats etc very well and is quiet when in use. A couple of things on the negative side but not enough to not buy and its a good value for the price. Also looks nice. Negatives: - Handle will get hot when you are in heavy cooking mode on your range top burners below the microwave. Only happens when the use below is heavy and can be easily overcome by using dish towel to open. It gets pretty hot but not where you'll get burned. - The audible beep sound for end of cooking or the timer is not adjustable for volume and it's not all that loud. Also when using the timer as an alarm, the beep stops after 7 beeps. Others I've owned keep ringing until you shut off which I think is better. Overall a good unit so far, have only been using for a couple of weeks though.

The microwave's sensor cooking technology works great! I would like to see a pasta selection under the reheat option! One other important thing, it doesn’t burn popcorn when you use the popcorn selection! Got to love that!

We bought the floor display so it was missing several pieces (re: hanging bracket, turn table, rack, and instruction book) but I was able to order everything I needed to make it work. It works well and looks great above my stove!

Purchased this unit through a competitor to Best Buy because it was $220 on a cyber Monday deal. Had to replace an old GE that died. Installation was easy for me and it looked great. Fired it up and it was so quiet I thought it was broken. Tried to turn on the range lights and nothing. They did not work at all. Called the store, again not Best Buy, and they sent a new one out and swapped. Works now! Judging by other stories, initial quality seems to be an issue with this LG microwave. Be aware that you may need to return it. The exhaust fan must be turned on manually when operating the microwave. This is different than GE Spacemaker, so be aware.

Noticed this and the higher end LGs advertise a special quiet operation - it works! At least 70% quieter than the OTR unit it replaced. Exhaust fan is (typically) noisy, but expected at this CFM. Overall, very powerful and looks great. Early on in ownership but very pleased, particularly at this price point ($250). Only issue is it is very shiny and doesn't match our LG refrigerator (which is more of a brushed appearance) but we can abide ...

Overall this is a great microwave. It looks beautiful (I have it paired with the matching LG LRG3095ST range), and it has all of the features you could want. The fan is quiet (but not as quiet as I had hoped). It looks great once installed but it was a beast to install. Even when replacing an existing over the range microwave (so the vent and electrical connections were already there), it took a couple of days and lots of trial-and-error to install it. If you aren't super handy (and don't have another person to help you lift it), do yourself a favor and pay to get it installed.

Just like most microwaves it works fine for reheating food, defrosting frozen items, etc.

This might be too soon to give an accurate review, as I have had it roughly 30 days now. The microwave looks nice in the kitchen. It appears to do what it was intended to do & is pretty quiet, but does make a different sound then our old GE Spacesaver that we had for 11 years before it died. It is quieter than the GE, but does seem to cycle through some different sounds while heating foods or defrosting (especially when defrosting). I don't know if this is the way the LG microwave is intended to work & it's just a different sound than I'm used to or if there is something not quiet right about it. Time will tell. The biggest think I miss on this microwave are the quick start buttons that the GE has. You can just push buttons 1-5 to get the GE to come on & heat from 1-5 minutes depending on which button you touch. The LG does not have this, even though the LG rep at the store that day told us it did have it. The closest the LG comes to the quick start is what LG refers to as their easyon button (push it & it starts for 30 seconds). Each time you touch it the heating time will increase in 30 second increments. Not great if you want to heat for 3 minutes. The +/- button will add or subtract 10 seconds each time that is touched (kind of useless). I miss the features of the GE & went with LG to match the new fridge. Hopefully this helps.

It's a microwave, good quality and seems solid when I installed it. Easy to install with two people. I gave the Features 4/5 because it has a Kids menu options on it for Chicken Nuggets, corn dogs, and such that I think is really a waste of control space. Those products are going to have the times listed on the packaging anyways and may be different per brand so how does the microwave know what the correct settings are. It doesn't hurt having them I just don't think they are needed. Anyways, good microwave. Lots of interior space, heats nice. I would buy it again, always good quality from LG.

Nice looking unit. we don't use the microwave much except for reheating. It works great. We do miss the one touch cook on our last microwave, where you push the buttons 1-6 for the number of minutes to cook on high. this has the EZ button which gives you 30 seconds of one touch so you can push it multiple times for longer cook times. Also I expected the exhaust fan to be a little quieter. It's not terribly loud but I was expecting it to be fairly quiet. Over all we like it.

We bought this to match our other LG appliances we bought at Best Buy. It is exceptionally quiet when cooking. It heats great & evenly. We vented the exhaust out of the room, up through the attic. I would highly recommend venting to the exterior. The ventilation fan is very good, pulling out virtually all steam/smoke from the cooktop. It has many cooking features that we will probably never use.

I've used the microwave for about 2 weeks now and so far so good. Haven't used all the features yet. I like the 2 speed exhaust fan with the turbo. It is vented to the outside and seems to perform as well as the old exhaust fan I had before the kitchen remodel. The high and low light is also a nice feature. The keypads do require a little more effort than other microwaves but it's no big deal. It's a great looking microwave for the price. Will report later if any problems come up.

This microwave cooks faster and appears to be more efficient. Installation was fairly simple - I did have to drill new holes in the upper cabinet since the template for this microwave was different from the JennAir I had previously. Overall, a good microwave for regular use.

I was in the process of remodeling my kitchen and decided to finally get rid of the outdated over-the-counter microwave and get a new one. I chose the LG based on reviews and to match my range. Its perfect and really stylish! Seems much more streamlined than my old one and compliments my kitchen so well. Love the various cook modes.

We tried and returned two units of this model due to noise issues. We bought this to replace an old Kitchenaid OTR microwave. We believed LG to be a good brand. Wrong! This microwave had a terrible intermittent vibration when it was running. We called LG (which was a less than pleasant experience right from the get go) for service and they had me call a local company to fix it. After waiting about 6 weeks for the parts to come in (fortunately it was still usable - I don't know what we would have done if it wasn't) they came back to install them. The noise didn't go away and may have actually gotten worse. The serviceman said it probably would never get better due to LG not mounting the fan on rubber mounts to save money. Fortunately we bought it during Best Buy's extended holiday return period so we took it down and brought it back (as well as the LG convection range we purchased at the same time as the microwave).. We weren't crazy about the settings on this model either. No beverage setting of all things! That's the one thing we use a microwave for more than any other. The turntable tray rotated in a herky-jerky manner as well. We'll probably never buy another LG (Life's Good - yeah, right!) product. We're waiting for our Whirlpool replacement to be delivered this week.

Got this microwave on sale ,so I it was worth the money. Stainless steel looks great , wasnt that hard to install either. Pros: 3 fan speeds, two lights under mount are bright . Preset popcorn works great Cons: touch control pad you have to push buttons a little harder than other micros.

I read bad reviews that keypad may fail after a year. Will see about that in 11 months. The keypad is not intuitive and hard to respond to clicks. Customer service of LG needs improvement either. Installation instructions are clear. Relatively quite. Does the work so far

Great microwave! Defrost is a little uneven and you really need to keep the defrost tray nearby and use it. Cooks popcorn perfectly! Scary quiet! Powerful!

Overall a good microwave - so far. It is easy to use, has good features and was easy to install with basic hand tools. So far only thing I do not like is the tacky kids menu display that calls out mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and hot dog. I decided to live with the menu as is due the ratings on this microwave in the size and price range I was looking at.

This really gets the food hot fast, love the high watts. Melts butter with a special button just for that. Defrost is a pain, always having to give the meat type, then the pounds. Very Quiet.
