Very satisfied with this product, only wish beeping for timer was louder and beeped until you turned it off. Also wish sensor function worked a little better. Often leaves a lot of unpopped popcorn in a bag.

This microwave does seem to have higher power than the one we had previously. Sometimes when it runs it's very loud-but not all the time, not sure why. There is a pull out vent feature along the bottom that is uneven, which makes the microwave look like it was mounted crooked. Bothersome, but not fixable.

I am 5'1.....this is not meant for shorter people. Once we had it installed, I could not see the display screen. We took it back and the microwave that had the button and display screen alone the bottom, love the new one.

Purchased this at Pacific Sales, owned by Best Buy, to replace a Sharp tabletop 2' WONDERFUL microwave that died after 15 years. The glass tray in the LG is Much smaller, but it does have a metal rack so you can heat two dinners at once. Nice. The Sharp tabletop cost $100, and this one cost $499. The very good salesman, Juan (Santa Barbara store), told me that microwaves now last only five or six years. That's disheartening, since it cost an extra $109 to have it installed over the Chambers cooktop, replacing a dated Chambers hood. I bought the 5yr parts and labor warranty from Pac. Sales for $99. The local installer(s) were very good. They took care to not scratch it and cleaned up after themselves. Note: They had to take it completely out once to turn the fan motor so it would vent to the rear and not just out through the top charcoal filter, since we have an exterior fan chimney. That was an ordeal, so be sure to do that BEFORE it's installed. The unit looks very attractive. No problems with the door alignment as others mentioned. Fan is noisy but works well. Lights over the cooktop illuminate well. Note: I tried to replace the two bulbs from 30 watt to 40 watt, but they are odd bulbs, and the 40 watt ones from the Chambers hood do not fit in the same space. I'll have to take them out and to the electrical supply store to match them. The sensor reheat works as well as the old Sharp, i.e., very well. The interior light, and the fact that the oven is at eye level, lets you see inside while its cooking better than the old Sharp. It's not that easy to clean inside, since there are a lot of things on the ceiling, sides, and floor to catch food, so be sure to cover anything you're heating. The outside shows every fingerprint but is easy to clean. The first time I cooked popcorn in my popcorn popper, it really burned the middle, with smoke coming out the front and all over the cherry cabinets above it. In the old microwave, you stopped it when the kernels were not popping at least one every four seconds. In the LG, it was popping away and burning the center at the same time. So on the second try, less time, and way more unpopped kernels. If anyone has tips or tricks to improve on this, I'd love to hear them. I don't use the toxic popcorn bags from the store, but a special popcorn popping container with a vented lid and star shaped bottom. It worked perfectly in the old micro. The pullout vent is good- it helps cover the front burners. The soften is a new feature for me. I had to use it twice on a frozen stick of butter. All in all, it's a good microwave, albeit expensive. Now I hope it will last longer than five or six years. We've only had it one month. So far so good. Sent from my iPhone4

We are very happy with this microwave. Installation was relatively easy. The microwave works very well and the 1100 watts cooks food quickly. The auto cook feature does a great job with most of our dishes. The vent fan works really well. The microwave is much quieter than our previous one. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there is no instant-on buttons for X minutes. Most microwaves allow you to just press a number and the microwave will automatically start for that many minutes, but this one does not have this feature. It does have the normal +30 second instant-on button (which is strangely labeled as 'Ez-On').

I bought this microwave to match my new fridge. I have used most all the features except a few of the "kid friendly" ones (mac n cheese, hot dog etc.). The sensor cooking was great and reheated my food perfectly. The controls are easy to understand and the hood extension is great for stove top cooking. The fan sucked the steam right in when I turned it on. The unit is pretty quiet when it runs (compared to my Maytag which was horrible)! The shelf that comes inside seems pretty useless to me but maybe I can use it for a cookie cooling rack or something. I just took it out. I'm really happy with this product so far and can't see any negatives yet.

This is by far the best microwave we've purchased! We needed to get a new microwave to match our LG Stove and to match the rest of the kitchen. In the past I only have purchased the 'cheap' ones, this is the quietest microwave I have ever experienced and warms everything evenly! Very happy with the selection on all controls (may not use them all but still have the option if needed). You maybe spending more for this microwave but well worth it!! I would recommend this microwave....

A very nice product for a reasonable price. We have had it only for about two months now but have not had any problems at all. The door droops and cannot be adjusted , it is not super noticeable but the funny thing is that in the display photo on BB's web site the door droops in the picture as well . I guess I got exactly what they advertised!. All in all a solid device!

This was on sale and had many features important to us and was much less than other well-regarded brands. Best Buy installed for us. No problems at all. Only problem we had initially was replacing the 20watt lights for over the range with 40watt bulbs (as documented on the unit and in user manual). We called LG on this and the next morning a LG Product Engineer was at out home to review the problem and come up with a fix. Two days later he was back and replaced wiring harness and bulb fixture. No problems with the lights since then. Highly Recommend this company (LG) and this Microwave.

Good performing microwave for the price. Quiet compared to the GE microwave that it replaced. Ventilation fan could be quieter based on the other comments I thought it would be. Looks good, but out of the box I noticed 2 things, a small indentation about the key pad and the retractable vent was uneven. Other than those items, I've satisfied to date with my purchase.

We replaced our Maytag microwave, which broke after 3 years, with this one when it went on sale for $239. It's a night and day difference as far as noise. This LG is super quiet. The extended vent is awesome. It heats everything efficiently so far. My one and only complaint is the buttons sometimes don't register pushes. That could be user error though. As for durability, only time will tell.

I've owned quite a few microwaves. I believe that this microwave might very well be the best I've ever owned! I've definitely never owned one that was so quiet! Installation was a breeze. Very simple to understand directions. Stainlesss shines up very easily. BIG turntable can handle my biggest casserole. The extenda vent is a really nice feature when cooking on all burners. I highly recommend this microwave--Way to go LG!
