Worst refrigerator. Died after 4 years old. LG couldn’t come out for 2 weeks to fix the compressor they knew had failed. We replaced with another brand.

We loved this refrigerator while it was under warranty. As soon as the warranty expired, we had to replace the compressor twice. The repairman said LG was having problems with the compressors. As I write this review, it sounds like someone is in the kitchen with a jackhammer.

Very Bad Performance and Reliability

Bought this fridge in April 2017, it was running great for the first 5 months, then in November the compressor died. Called LG to have it serviced. It took them 35 days to have a service man come out and replace the broken compressor. 10 days after the repair man came, the compressor died again. Contacted Best Buy Customer Service to report that they sold me a lemon, but haven't heard anything back from them. This all happened during Thanksgiving and Christmas, which is probably the worst time for a refrigerator to give out.

Poor warranty service
We purchased this refrigerator in February of 2018. On July 17, 2020, the compressor went bad. Since this is covered under the warranty, I contacted LG for a service call and was told a repairman would be out as soon as possible. I then received an email the same date stating that no repairmen are available and if I don’t hear back from someone in 7 days to call back. WHAT? 7 days and call back. How long must I go without a refrigerator? The sad part is that we loved this refrigerator, however LG is seriously lacking in customer service and their warranty repairs. On July 23rd, I received a phone call from a repairman stating that he has ordered my part and the parts take 5 to 10 days to come in. He will call me back when they come in and make an appointment. I now had to by a small replacement refrigerator since I did not know I would be without one for several weeks. I kept my water line connected so I could still have filtered water, yesterday the water dispenser just turned on by itself pouring water all over the floor while we were away. Today I was told that was not covered under the warranty. The most expensive refrigerator we every bought and it is 2 1/2 years old. I paid $2700.00 for this paper weight and will never purchase another LG product. We did not do our research and went by the nicest looking model. Never again!!! Please research these issues included the class action lawsuits before purchasing an LG product.

I had the fridge for 2.5 years and it already broke. On the first year water started leaking and some of the lights in the freezer went off. Over all would not recomend

One of the reasons I bought this fridge is I thought it would be cool to have the wifi, but after many attempts and even having a guy from LG come to my house they were never able to get it to work.

It's been 3 years and 1 month since we had this fridge installed and it just went out with no warning, no error lights, no warning beeps, nothing. We currently have to wait 5 days for a repair technician to come out and fix it. This is our first LG appliance and might be our last. $3k for a fridge and it lasts 3 years and 1 month. Yikes.

Do not buy! Fridge went out on me after 3 years. They refunded 80% of my money back after fighting with LG for almost 6 months. Not worth the hassle. I’m buying Samsung! Never will buy LG anymore. The freezer and the ice machine is nice and works still but the refrigerator part does not cool at all. Food spoils fast!

Beautiful to look at, but after 3 plus years the compressor has died. We will need to spend 30% of our original purchase price to replace it. As the repair person stated, these are not built to last.

The fridge looks awesome and works fine, but after nearly 2 weeks of constant use the water and ice still taste like plastic.
I hope its not toxic!...and I hope I can return it!
oh, and I bought is on July 1st and was delivered on Sept. 7th. So that left a bad taste in my mouth to start with!

We have had this model for two years and it all of a sudden stopped working. We have had a repair technician look at it 6 times and they have replaced the compressor, the condenser lines and the control panel and nothing has helped. We now have an expensive useless fridge. Do not buy this fridge!

This is the worst appliance EVER. Constant problems, ice maker freezers over, the whole freezer just stopped freezing food. Its 2.5 years old and all in cost $2700! Unacceptable!
