Beware. While the fridge worked as advertised, and is highly rated by consumer review publications: our compressor failed after just over 5 years. The advertised 10 year warranty ONLY covers the parts, and the first quote we received for installation was $900. Do not recommend, will avoid LG from now on. Cannot understand why so many publications rate them so highly when they do not last.

Have had my new refrigerator for about two weeks. For the moment, I love this refrigerator. I got the counter depth one to fit into a small space and it works perfectly. This refrigerator has plenty of space and can be arranged in many ways to accommodate your needs.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!!!! Save yourself the headache. We have ahd this refrigerator for 4 years and it just died. The compressor stopped working which is apparently a common problem with this refrigerator according to the repair guy and the other reviews I have seen. LG does not honor their warranty either. We have had nothing both the run around and bottom line is they refused to fix it. If I could give them 0 or negative stars I would have.

About 8 months in, I am mostly happy with this refrigerator. If does a good job with temperature control - the normal area and the freezer area have been kept at the correct temperatures. I am less happy with the ice maker, and the ice/water dispenser. For something that only dispenses water. the dispenser is not easy to keep clean. The French doors are convenient, but there needs to be something to soften the door closing on the ice maker side - it's far too easy to end up "slamming" that door shut.

DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! Was fine until we came home from vacation and found all our food had spoiled in the fridge and freezer. Ice melted and water ran across floor damaging the floor. Local service company said they wont service LG fridges because the compressors fail too often for them to make an money. DO NOT BUY!

Only had the LG french door refrigerator for a couple of weeks and so far it's been great, with plenty of space & love how bright it is inside.

LG makes some of the worst appliances I’ve ever owned. So far since 2017. The compressor broke TWICE and the LG Microwave we have, the motor broke TWICE. DO NOT BIY THESE APPLIANCES!!!

We’ve owned this fridge for 6 years now and we’ve had multiple ice maker issues along with the compressor going out which resulted in total food loss. Save yourself the headache and go with another brand.

This LG fridge has been nothing but problematic for us. I’ve had to schedule three different repairs since purchasing 5 years ago. Two of the repairs were to melt the ice that was backing up the cold airflow and the third was to change the board which tells you this is a faulty design.

This item is a piece of junk! Since 2017 when I made my purchase the compressor has died 3 times. Each time LG makes good but it takes week. I have lost hundreds in wasted food not to mention the stress, the mess the repair techs make, etc. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!!!!!!!!

It was tough to find a counter depth fridge. This model fit beautifully in our kitchen. The french doors and the drawer freezer took a little getting used to but are better than the side by configuration.

Linear compressor died twice under warranty. 3rd time it died was outside of warranty period. No Help from LG. LG settled a class action for compressor issue.

1. Water image wore off with in a few months 2. Product started making awful noise after 2 years 3. Contacted best buy to find service. Said no service available and to contact manufacture. At least with a junk Sears product, I could call for service. Never buying best buy again. Their after sales service just stinks

Love the way it fits. Counter depth. Flexable inside. Love the ice/water all in the door. Leaves extra room in the fridge.

Would be a nice refrigerator if the compressor didn't fail after 2 years of use and LG provided good service.

Just when life is good, you buy your first home and then a state of the art counter depth LG french door fridge, 5 years later, it stops working, no cold air, no ice. Today was that day. Ugh... called Best Buy, nothing they can do, called LG, nothing they can do but suggest an authorize repair shop. You would think spending $3,300 for a fridge that it would last at least 10 years without issues. Not trusting LG anymore. Life is not good. :(

We purchased this unit because of the depth. They claim is has 24 cubic feet of space. We had a hard time fitting the food from our old 20 cubic foot refrigerator into this model. I have now requested to have it returned. Too small for us.

Sealed system/compressor issue after less than3 years! Sure, LG claims to warranty parts for these systems for 5+ years. But no one will service LG appliances here because repairers claim LG doesn’t pay their warranty claims. Even if we did find someone we’re looking at $500 in labor that’s not warrantied. Avoid LG & Best Buy should drop them as a refrigerator brand due to them not standing behind their products.

I bought this refrigerator about a year ago. I have had the repair person here 3 time with in a year. Now they say it can't be fixed and they won't replace it because the warranty is up. I had to go with out a refrigerator for two months and had to get outside help before LG would do anything. I would not recommend LG
