Don’t waste your money like we did. I wish we would’ve seen the reviews in advanced about the mother board and cracking, see pictures. It’s been 14 months since purchase, washer exterior cracked last night during cycle, based on other experiences it’s only a matter of time when we get error code and dishwasher no longer works. $1,000 purchase gets a little over year of use.

Good, quiet dishwasher with one caveat

We bought this LG dishwasher along with an LG range and above-range convection microwave.
This dishwasher replaced an older KitchenAid that came with our house.
We've generally been very happy with this dishwasher. It's quiet and it does a very good job cleaning dishes. The layout of the trays allows for you to put items into the dishwasher in the most optimum arrangement.
It'd be nice if the plastics dried better, but no dishwasher I've encountered does a good job drying plastics. I also wish there were a couple other options for cycles.
One thing I noticed is that you can completely lower all the dividers on the bottom tray, but on the upper tray, you can only lower half of the dividers. I'm not sure if other LG dishwashers allow you to lower all the dividers on the upper tray, but that's definitely something that would have been welcomed here.
There's a third tray that sits at the top of the dishwasher that has proved very useful for various items, such as knives and the parts from a French press coffeemaker.
My biggest complaint about this range is that the upper tray must be fully pushed in, otherwise the front door will not close fully. Even though the door doesn't close fully, the dishwasher can still run. In this situation, water will escape through the top through the opening between the door and the dishwasher's frame.
This happened the first few times we used the dishwasher. We were actually fairly frustrated with that situation, especially given the amount of trouble the old dishwasher had given us. It was only upon further inspection that you have to fully push in the upper tray in order for the door to fully close and seal.
The best layperson comparison I can make for how that top tray rolls in is that it's similar to some drawer sliders you might encounter on furniture, where you roll the drawer "closed," but you need to physically push the drawer in for that last little bit. Upon doing so, you encounter a positive "click" that you can both feel and see as you close the drawer.
It's the same thing here. The top tray "clicks" into a bracket on the inner back wall of the dishwasher. If you do not click the top tray into that, it's not fully rolled in, and thus the door will not fully seal.
Why this is like this, I have no idea. I can't say I've encountered this on other past dishwashers, but we didn't look around at many others when buying this one for comparison purposes. It's really not a huge deal since we're used to it now, but this is an appliance that should be fully intuitive and easy-to-use. It generally is, but I can certainly see a situation where someone who doesn't live in the house or a child starts up a dishwasher cycle, not understanding that you have to fully push in that tray. You'll then be encountered with water all over your floor.
The fact that the dishwasher's door sensor still considers the door "closed" in this situation is also somewhat puzzling. I assume that the sensor is associated with the latch, since the door can still latch, even if the door isn't fully sealed.
Other than that issue, we are generally happy with this. It would be a five-star review if that top tray wasn't temperamental.

Pros: cleans and drys great, large capacity, 3rd rack for silverware is a nice touch. Phone app lets you customize washing cycle settings and tells you when run a cleaning cycle.
Con: louder than i expected - water jets are loud!
Tough install for granite - top brackets are too wide for standard stone counter mounting brackets.

It’s a great dishwasher. Cleans and dries (you need to use rinse aid for drying). It’s quiet and does the job while looking sleek. If it helps, here are the 3 things I would list as cons: 1.) if you don’t use rinse aid, your dishes will be wet when the cycle is done; 2.) the interior is somewhat fragile. We closed the door and a failed to fully push the strainer al the way in. Closing the door on the strainer handle left a small interior dent; 3.) full cycles are long I think 3hrs. So this is definitely something you would want to run at the end of the day. Hope this helps.

Wasn’t looking for an LG, but it was the only black stainless in stock with a good rating. It cleans well. Dishes are dry when the rather long cycle is over. Very quiet. The installer was great. He was very careful, Reviewed the operation with us. Took away the old unit. I’d give him 10 out of 10. I bought the 5 year warranty since, to me, LG dishwasher has unknown long term quality ratings. I can give this model a solid 5 Star initial rating.

one thing, it does NOT have a heating element for drying dishes. it will leave dishes somewhat wet if you do not use the trusteam setting. but if the steam setting is used, it does a pretty good job of drying the dishes.
it does run a long time.
the very top rack (third rack) is ok. its not super useful, and i've noticed that some utensils put on third rack tend to spot or not dry well.
overall, good dishwasher. you can load it up pretty good and it will clean just about anything. i use the auto setting with Trusteam setting.
you will need to clean the trap out once in awhile to prevent smell. i use a dishwasher additive for cleaning the interior, plumbing, and drain system to help prevent smell or build up.
the buttons are haptive, so just touch them. no need to push the buttons. depending on how you install the unit, the led display may be difficult to see under your counter top. i would recommend an inch minimum just so you can peek between counter top and top of door to see display.

My old dishwasher came with my house and I hated it from day 1! But I waited 4 years until it finally died and then about 3 months ago, treated myself to this LG model. I researched models exhaustively, and decided on this one particularly because I got a free installation special which allowed me to keep within my set budget, but get this upgraded model. I absolutely love the 3rd rack and the adjustable tines. These are just game changers! This seems to have so much more space than my old GE, and runs very quietly. It has a lot of settings and I doubt I'm fully versed on everything it does. But I've got a setting that works for me, and for now I'm sticking with that. I absolutely love this dishwasher!

Replaced a 10 year old Whirlpool with this unit. This dishwasher work amazingly well! It is quiet and there is plenty of room inside. Zero issues with dishes being clean and dry when the cycle is finished. Love the extra top rack for larger utensils that normally would catch on your top rack when sliding the bottom rack in.

So far we are very happy with the LG dishwasher. It was even more quiet than expected, almost didn’t think it was running. It washes great and the third row is nice for long flatter things like long handled spoons, skewers, even not so flat things since it is adjustable and can be dropped down giving it even more room. Installation was a breeze, size stated was on the money. The wheels on the bottom are adjustable so over all height shouldn’t be a problem. Filter is easy to get to when the time comes to clean it as well. It was a good purchase.

100% satisfied! Easy to use, very low noise when washing and dishes are super clean. The Trusteam rally does a good job and love that 3rd rack, no longer needed that try for knives, forks and spoons so we removed it. The 3rd tray takes care of all of the tableware.

I've been using this dishwasher for 2 months and I love it! I have put some pretty crusty, nasty dishes in there and they always come out perfectly clean! In the past, I always rinsed dishes out, especially if they had red sauce in them. The red sauce seemed to always leave a reddish film on everything. This dishwasher won't do that. Just throw it in and let the dishwasher do all the work for you. It's really quiet too!
The only bad thing I have to say is that each load takes about 3 hours to complete. I have a lot of kids who make a lot of dirty dishes. It would be nice if it didn't take so long, but this could be the reason it cleans so well! If so, it's totally worth the wait.

I "upgraded" to this dishwasher from a 10+ year old GE Profile. My other experience is with a 10+ old Whirlpool. These older dishwashers are the "set it and forget it" type of dishwasher. I left it on one setting, left the rack height alone, loaded my dishes and they came out clean and dry.
That is not at all what this diswasher is. And initially I was extremely disappointed and frustrated. But, decent results can be had from this dishwasher if you understand the quirks.
First of all it's fairly quiet, and I selected this dishwasher because the racks and internal build quality seem marginally better than competitors of this price point. I also like the 10 year warranty on the motor, and that it has some sensor for leak detection. I considered other brands, but after reading hours of reviews it seems most modern dishwashers at this price point have similar performance so I went with the LG.
The first load I tried with what I would consider the usual settings from my 10+ year old models; detergent, normal soil level, hi heat. "Drying" was just assumed on the older ones I had, and those had a metal wire element inside that actually heats up to warm the dishes. Most new dishwashers use hot water & evaporation to dry your dishes. Let that sink in for a moment, because it's key to getting the type of results you want. Back to this first wash, the results of the wash were fine, but the dishes and inside of the unit were completely wet. Ok, on to trial 2.
Next attempt was detergent, normal wash, high heat, steam, and extended dry. Same wet results. Completely irritated, I went searching the internet and product documentation and was able to get decent results.
I typically load the dishwasher and leave it alone to do it's cycle. Since these new models now run for 3+ hours, I don't think anyone is waiting around to unload the dishes promptly when the cycle completes- however this is how the manufacturer expects you to use the machine. If you do not open the door and get air in the tub, the condensation will collect on the dishes and they'll be wet.
Fortunately, LG has something called "night dry" (just long press the extended dry button). This did the trick for me. Detergent, normal wash, steam, and night dry. I can leave the unit alone overnight and I have dry dishes in the morning. Also, you're best unloading the dishes from the bottom up, but that's always the case. I have since tried a rinse aid for kicks, and that does also boost drying performance.
Overall I'm happy with the system, although the 3rd rack does make for a bit more reconfiguration depending on what you load. Try having something tall in all 3 racks, like a large soup spoon at the top, stem wine glasses in the middle, and a cutting board at the bottom, and you will definitely have to plan rack heights accordingly.
One more thought on space; I feel like this overall is a bit smaller than my older unit that was the same footprint. To help with this, I removed the silverware rack entirely to use the full bottom rack. I use the top third rack for silverware and they come out fine.
In short, this is not impressive by any means but good washing AND drying results can be had with the machine if you experiment with the settings and your use pattern. The WiFi is a gimmick but has interesting stats. The unit did connect up straight away without any leaks.
Side note- the Best Buy dishwasher kit worked great, except the kit only comes with a right-angle power plug, which didn't work with my garbage disposal in the outlet, so I had to get a different power cord.

Missing under counter anchor

This dishwasher is super quiet! I have never had one where I can’t tell it’s even running. Washes dishes just fine, has a third rack, and the inside racks are adjustable. The only 2 thing I don’t like is it takes 2 hours plus to was dishes and that it did not come with counter anchor in the box. So when I load it I have to be careful because the whole unit will tilt forward if the load is too front heavy. If anchored properly it would be perfect but I don’t have the ability to do that without the proper parts. Pretty sure it was supposed to come with it but I guess they forgot to put it in my box. It’s a good buy thus far. It has a cool WiFi feature too.

Nice quiet dishwasher. We find that loading is a bit less efficient than our previous dishwasher from a different brand due to different rack configuration, and the control panel is only visible when the door is open, which is not ideal. But the machine cleans quite well (occasionally dishes with baked on items will need pre-scrubbing) and we love the 3rd rack on top, which is great for knives, big serving spoons, scissors and such.

Cleans the dishes quite well so far, even the tough cooked on stuff. The third rack is nice for knives and bigger utensils, however, it reduces the height of items you can put in the middle rack, even with the middle rack lowered... like my wine glasses or the taller everyday glasses. It's pretty quiet when running. I haven't quite figured out the best configuration in the middle rack for everyday bowls, glasses etc.

The cleaning and drying performance of this machine is excellent. I use the auto cycle with the steam and extra dry options. With the exception of some water on the top of plastic cups, everything always comes out clean and dry,. The downside is the cycle time, it is over 3 hours. There are faster cycle options, but I have not tried them.
Depending on how it's loaded, the machine can be extremely quiet. If there are pots and pans in the machine it is more likely to make some noise, but it's not disruptive.
I don't know if this machine will be long term reliable. This is my first LG appliance.

We absolutely LOVE THIS DISHWASHER!!!!!
It is so quiet that you cannot hear it running. The only sounds we hear are when it releases water and that's less than 15 seconds at a time. We just set it on AUTOMATIC and it is perfect. Two hours and 53 minutes. We leave it closed for a couple of hours after it stops, because a fan is running that dries the dishes. When you open the dishwasher, the fan stops. We love the very top shallow shelf for large utensils or lids or extra silverware as there are slots to use for this purpose. It is also adjustable. We love this machine so much as our old dishwasher sounded like a freight train coming through the house. No so with this one, quiet as a mouse.

Bought this model because of the quad wash and TreuSteam features. Very quiet, cleans dishes very well. 3rd rack is awesome. The extended dry cycle works well but very long. We run it at night so no issue. We are still playing around with the cycles. There are some cheap-ish plastic parts so I hope it will last like our 16 year Frigidaire it replaced.
