Got this tv for my bedroom. I had a wall mounted tv but wanted something for the dresser and this looked like the one. First off there are a ton of reviews about the tv not coming with a stand which is utterly insane because the tv is designed to just stand up which is great and what the description says so I’m not sure what any of these people are talking about. Tv was super easy to set up but I do have a bunch of other lg things in my house such as washer and dryers and other TVs so I have a of smart tv account already so someone new to lg might have a few more steps to actually get all the apps set up. Lg OS on here is smooth and seamless with no lag issues as of yet. The screen is vibrant right out of the box but with a few more tweaks under settings you can make the tv even better. Colors pop and blacks are as good as you’re gonna get without it being an OLED. The tv is perfect size for a bedroom or kitchen and all you need to do is just stand it up. All in all very happy with yet another lg product and I’ll keep it my go to brand.

Overall, this is a solid TV that could find a home in multiple different places in YOUR home. The picture is very sharp at 1080p (4K would be wasted in a TV of this size - you wouldn’t really perceive the difference in content or sharpness unless you sitting a foot away from it) and the sound is clear and loud though as others have noted, it doesn’t have the greatest range or deep base so if that’s important to you, you’ll likely need external speakers as with most / all TVs. Setup does take a few steps and uses the LG app - I already had it set up and was familiar with it from another TV and my washer/dryer, so I didn’t mind much. You can skip the setup if you’re going to use this with a Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast or other external source (or, you know, a cable box). It does have an internal tuner for over the air digital TV, though you’ll then want an antenna for best coverage. The internal WiFi connection is fairly strong and does support the faster 5ghz bands - it found both my 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks and connected quickly and easily with no issues. I was able to setup my typical apps (I tried Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video and all worked just fine - your experience may vary depending on what apps you use). They were responsive and easy to use as they are on other platforms though the Home Screen in the LG WebOS interface is a bit more cluttered than I would like and it does try to get you to use their services of course. The remote is a familiar LG design and works fine with the TV. The TV itself has a nice “counter top” design and tries to use the bezels (which aren’t huge, but are noticeable since it’s white) as a design element, likewise with the built-in stand. Overall, I like the design, but it might not be for everyone. It also means that the stand cannot be removed even when wall mounting (VESA compatible holes are pre-drilled in the back of the unit) - this has led the stand portion to be very slim, so if you’re setting it on a counter or table, be mindful that it could be knocked over since the “foot” isn’t super wide. It’s not inherently unstable, but can’t withstand a child knocking into it or such. Another element that favors design somewhat over function is the rear port cover - it does hide the connectors and help with the sleek look, but it also has to be removed every time you want to plug something new in and you’ll have to thread the cables through the opening before plugging them in. The screen itself has a matte finish which is great for brighter environments, and diminishes the reflections you might otherwise get from windows and the like at a slight cost to screen brightness overall. I think it’s a good choice for a TV meant for a kitchen or other room that might have a brighter than normal environment. All in all, this is a good and reasonably priced TV from a trusted brand that makes a few small compromises to functionality to better fit into a “counter top” (though it can also be mounted) positioning in rooms that don’t usually have TVs in them. If that matches what you’re looking for, give it a try!

I adore this television set. It looks so nice on the counter. I was able to buy this bigger TV to fit our space because it doesn't waste room with a stand like our old one. Also, the picture is excellent, the sound quality is very good & the price is amazing. Couldn't be happier! FYI- after seeing the TV on our kitchen counter, two guests have already purchased one for themselves.

This is a great tv. It looks sleek and modern and fits in perfectly in my office. Very nice picture also.

Great looking TV for our kitchen. The no pedestal design maximizes screen size and still fits under the cabinets. webOS took a little time to figure out (I'm used to Roku), but it's good to learn new things, I guess. Previous kitchen TV was 720, so the 1080 at this screen size really looks nice.

Great little TV. Got it as a counter top TV in our kitchen. The one it replace had such a “tinny “ irritating sound and this one has nice sounding internal front stereo speakers…such an improvement! Color/picture quality is great as well. Thanks Ricky At Sheboygan, WI store!

Excellent picture quality. Design of the TV looks great and works well on a counter. Big negative is the sound quality. Sound has a tinny, hissing quality to it. However, I planned to use it with a sound bar. I would have returned it because of the sound quality if I had to rely on the built-in speakers. LG definitely needs to improve the speaker quality.

TV fits under counter perfectly. Picture and sound is very good. Looks good in my kitchen and I’m very pleased. There are 2 Cons. One is the humongous plug. And the remote does not have a mic. Other than that it would be 5star. Also I was not offered a promotion for this review. This is a completely honest one.

Bought it for my daughter gaming system she loves it.... the size is bigger that expected.. it connected to antenna plus she has her apps to watch her movies shows etc.. glad I bought it. only issue is with some games the screen is dark and doesn't come bright enough. But still happy with it.

Did not realize no stand came with This TV. When I contacted Best Buy . person was not nice. Did not even offer to sell me one Not customer concerned about me . All I wanted was stand TV Is lovely very nice. Just man I sopoke with was nice NASTY NEVER BUY FROM BESY BUY AGAIN... NEXT FEW ?? CANT ANSWER AS ITS STILL IN BOX.

Great price, terrific screen size and quality, I am returning because I can't stand the remote. Buttons are way too small and tough to see.

I wanted to like this TV for it’s 27” size and the kitchen-friendly color and style, but the picture is just awful. I had hoped the black model in the store wasn’t representative of all the 27” LGs in this model lineup, but it was. The picture is just terrible with ghosting and lackluster brightness.

This is a nice slim compact TV that's subtle for a small space which is what I wanted!

The TV itself is excellent but webOS doesn't have the Criterion Collection nor PBS. You can't get those apps with this TV, you have to either mirror (which sucks) or get a HDMI-cabled Roku device. Neither of which I want to do. Also: simplify the remote! Yeesh, it's terrible. LG could learn a lot from Roku in my opinion. I may be returning this to get a similar size Roku TV.
