Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the 27UL600-W monitor's exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and impressive HDR performance. Many also find it to be a good value for its price and easy to set up. However, some users note limitations with the stand, lack of built-in speakers, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The absence of height adjustment is also a point of concern for some customers.

I have two of these now, paired with my MacBooks. Nice, big screen, sharp, fairly easy to set up. Just remember that there is a control button in a rather inobvious place: bottom of the frame, back side. Find it before you get frustrated.

I bought one of these a year ago and just recently bought a matching one. I love this monitor. Great for drawing, games, and movies. These don't have speakers, so just be aware . I will say I started having image retention issues ok the older one after a year. I like to split screen YouTube and messenger and you can see the window ghosting on a dark background afterward. Nothing in the manual makes a mention of image retention and screen burn and the manufacturer warranty is only a year. After that, it's 150 to send it to a repair center. Not really worth repairing since it's not permanent, but a reminder to be conscientious when using your monitors. Image retention is still an issue. So 4/5 just because I thought 150 was a lot to repair a 400ish monitor.

Beautiful display, easy to use. If you have a newer model macbook, you may need additional dongles to get it to attach properly to your laptop, but once you have the appropriate wiring it's very easy to use.

Great 4k monitor. Excellent picture quality. Very vivid colors. Perfect for watching movies ,and regular computer tasks. It's not bad in gaming. The only thing holding it back is the 60hz refresh rate.

I did so much research on monitors prior to purchasing this that I got a headache. I was checking out 3 other monitors and I purchased 1 but it was NOT the one for me playing on the Xbox One X. It would lag so bad when playing FPS games and when I made the switch to this, the overall quality build and specs this monitor has for the price is by far the best bang for you buck. WORTH IT!

Very nice colors and resolution for secondary screen, optimal size. Very good for graphic design accurate colors and HDR. Very sharp. I just wish it had more port options including a USB type-c option. As well as a bluetooth option for external sound support.

Despite using a console for this monitor. I have no problem with the 4K and HDR effect. Only bummer is for the quality it would’ve been great if offered better Hz. Still a great useful monitor.

When Priced Right, It's Quite Nice

This is a solid mid-range 4K monitor when it's priced right. There is no visible pixel grid, it offers high screen brightness and the image quality is good enough to be used for photo editing after a little calibration. Viewing angles are quite good from side-to-side, but there is a noticeable brightness degradation when viewed off-angle from top to bottom so make sure you tilt it properly to your seat height. It's mostly only visible when you're standing up at your desk and looking down at the monitor. As far as HDR, while it's supported I find that it makes the picture worse in most cases so I don't bother utilizing it. I personally don't view this as a con since many monitors struggle with this and realistically it's not necessarily needed on a monitor outside of maybe having a very over-saturated looking video game (which some might prefer). Where it's lacking is mostly in wide-color gamut support, usb-c input, built-in speakers and better onscreen controls. Onscreen controls are handled via a mostly hidden and very uncomfortable feeling joystick. The menu itself is quite bland and the labels for certain functions aren't always clear in what they control. Not having built-in speakers or USB-C at $425 is also a bit of a misfire and I would have liked P3 wide-color gamut support - although I won't consider this a major fault at the price. Now, I got the monitor when it was on sale for $275. At that price I have no gripes and I think it's an excellent value. At $425 I'm not sure I would say I was blown away by the picture quality and feature set enough to say I would recommend it. It's by no means a bad monitor, but I think it's lacking some key features at its original price for me to give it a firm recommendation. Hence, that's why I will say that when it's priced right it's a good monitor. When it's not priced right...ehh.

Great second display for a MacBook Pro

I had a design project to do, , and my 15" MacBook Pro's screen was uninspiring. I bought this display and once I connected it, I found the extra space to be invaluable for inspiring creativity and managing the details of image editing I needed to do. The screen is crisp and powers on quickly. The built in settings are very basic, but it gets the job done very well. The base of the unit is pretty wide; so when I was looking to raise the display to a more ergonomic height, I had trouble finding a suitable platform, and I ended up using a cardboard box... still looking for the right monitor stand.

Wow! This LG 4K HDT 60FPS monitor is great! I was a little iffy on if I should purchase it or not when previously reading the reviews, but I'm definitely glad I made the purchase. I have an Xbox One X and had been playing on my 1080p tv for probably about 3+ years. So when I hooked this monitor up I could see the true beauty of how my Xbox One X is really supposed to be played. The graphics are crystal clear, the HDR makes the colors very vibrant, and don't even get me started on the refresh rate. If you're going from a 1080p 30FPS or even 1080p 60FPS, this monitor is a major difference for games like Call of Duty. I have been loving it so far!

Love this monitor. Razer sharp and great color. I have it running next to a 65" Samsung q70. When I mirror this monitor next to the Samsung with the video card, this monitor has significantly better color.

It's pretty much what you'd expect - LG makes some of the best panels. This one is no exception. Amazing super briliant color. I do a lot of video editing in 4k. This monitor is perfect!

These monitors are great, however, make sure you have the right refresh rate/cables connecting your computer, otherwise there's a lag when you're moving your cursor on the screen.

Coming from a 1080p monitor and an older 4K television without HDR support, this was a nice upgrade for my battlestation. I mostly use this monitor with my PS4 Pro and gaming PC and I'm very satisfied with purchase.

Resolution is excellent, colors are fine, set-up was easy. Only con is that it has an annoying dialog box on startup in the middle of the screen, which you can never click on to turn off.

Under expectation when it connects to Mac

    Posted .

    1) Bestbuy service is perfect, nothing to complain about and it should be 5 stars for their service actually. 2) However, this monitor performs way less than my expectation with my Mac. 2.1) Refresh frequency is only 30Hz, not 60Hz. You will notice the difference obviously when you move the mouse. I have tried two different type C-HDMI adapter in middle and the result is identical. I'm going to buy another more expensive adapter to see the result before I make the decision to return. 2.2) The "default for display" setting for this monitor is not acceptable at all, it goes with 1080P. You have to manually change all settings, which I usually don't do. I have another "LG UltraFine" connecting to the same Mac, the overall quality is much better than this one. This is the reason I canceled my Samsung order and chose LG. I brought another model with type-C connectivity from LG for my son and it will come to my home two days later. I hope that model will not disappoint me again.
