I learned a lot. Just replace seals & bearing, YT vids say. No, LG took care of that: the part that corrodes and breaks, every time, is the aluminum spinner aka spider. Before this model it could be replaced, but now it cannot, the outer drum is cemented instead of bolted. To fix, replace the assembly: $679+shp+tax parts alone! It lasted only 18 months…this is Anti-American!!
Hi there, Thank you for sharing your experience and the lessons you have learned. It is disappointing to hear that you had to replace seals and bearings only to discover a more significant issue with the aluminum spinner. We understand your frustration with the design change that makes it difficult to replace the part, leading to a costly replacement of the entire assembly. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Your feedback is valuable, and we will ensure it is passed on to the relevant teams for improvement. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this situation. Thank you for expressing your concerns, and we are sorry for the anti-American sentiment you feel regarding this issue. Please reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport so we can help you further. ^Cris

Whisper quiet, enormous capacity, super low energy use, and of course, really good at washing clothes. A huge upgrade over our old top-loader.

Great washer. Gets everything nice and clean. It is very quiet while running too. My girl is the one who uses it, so I don't really have much to say other than she loves it.

This washer made some horrible noises at first but after 2 washes, everything is operating as it should. Cleans my clothes well and I only use the speed wash setting.

We previously had an LG washer, also a front loader, that we purchased when our home was built back in 2007. At the time, LG had just started making clothes washers and driers, so I purchased the extended warranty even though that is almost never recommended by consumer experts. We never needed it, and now the prior LG washer is several years past the expected lifespan of a clothes washer.
The prior LG washer did start some minor leaking recently. Given the cost of even getting repairmen out to look at an appliance, and the fact that the old washer is well past a washer's average lifespan, we decided to replace it. I purchased this replacement, and got a quick delivery date and installation from Best Buy. Despite the fact that the tub is larger, the cost was almost half that of the prior washer. That's how much the technology of front loaders has advanced over the years.
While the prior washer was never bad noise-wise, this one is distinctly quieter. And unlike the old one, we can actually leave items like folded, clean laundry on top of this one while running a load, and they will not fall off.
Both the older LG and this one are very good at cleaning laundry, though I do not have a chem lab in my house to actually test that. However, this particular model was at the top of "best washers" in a "leading consumer magazine," and they almost certainly *do* have such a lab.

I like how clean my clothes are and the cute little tune when it’s finished washing. I love all the options this washer has like choosing spin speed for example. I do wish that it has a light inside the washer though To sum it all up would be the great cleaning for anything I want to wash.

Excellent buy. Uses very little water and cloths are clean. More complicated than an on off switch. But welcome to 2021. Features are extraordinary. Love it.

I bought this despite family members throwing hate at front load washers. My 18 year old top loading Whirlpool washer and dryer were going to outlive me and I wanted new. The LG models won due to high user satisfaction. What I mostly notice after the change is the increased capacity, reduced water usage, and reduced detergent usage. It's very easy to wipe down the gasket when finished and I dry out the soap area too. The door remains just slightly propped open (if you want) and is held there magnetically. Clothes come out clean, there is no noticeable difference from my old agitator machine. The wireless app is novel silliness and for me there was no need to spend any additional money on a pedestal.

We got this during a recent sale, and can't say enough about the washer itself. Installation and set up was a breeze. We haven't used all the features yet, but the quick wash is perfect for freshening up garments. The spin cycle leaves clothes practically dry, which will further increase our energy savings.
We have been able to wash our king-sized comforter in the machine, and the extra capacity helps to avoid spending all day washing smaller loads.
The only complaint I have is with LG and their Thinq app. Our Samsung A10e phones apparently don't have the firepower to run the app? What in the world is so complex about the app? My wife installed it on her (older, to us) phone, and all it does is report washing status, advise when you need to clean components and the like. The app seems to be useful, but the developers disappointed me with the lack of compatibility.

Been using the combo washer/dryer for over a year and couldn't be happier with them. Cycles are easy to use and the smart features make it super easy to remember when things are done so you don't leave anything in the wash overnight!
