I had a question whether this TV would have an app to use Amazon Prime. The store personnel looked it up on line in the LG App store and confirmed it would. However, had they taken out the actual remote it would have been a lot quicker to tell me . The remote actually has a button designated to Netflix and a button designated to Amazon Prime. I wanted a smart TV to put in a room without having to hook up (and pay more) for my DirecTV.. I only wanted it for Netflix, Amazon Prime and other streaming apps, and USB for shows I have downloaded. So this is actually the perfect TV for this. I didn't go with 4K simply because I am not paying for 4K from the services I use and don't see the need to do so at this time (not enough content to make it practical at this time) and the room it is in wouldn't be the first room for me to jump up to 4K. For the price it was on sale for yesterday ($299) this TV is awesome. Again this isn't for our main viewing room / living room but for a bedroom... had it been one of our main TV's I would have gone a lot bigger screen. Haven't had any complaints with any LG we owned in the past so went with LG this time as well. Note main reasons for this model - Price, WiFi, Netflix, Amazon Prime, 1080p and size for room. If we were using it for gaming I would have wanted a better refresh rate... but very happy with it for these reasons!

My 14 year old had been asking for a tv for her room the last couple of years. Finally made the decision to get her one for her birthday coming up. Outside of initially being sold the non smart version of this 43 inch tv by the salesperson at the apple valley location which was actually the same price and they exchanged the following day. It was perfect, even better than anticipated. I had considered a Samsung comparible model as I already have a couple of them in the house, a 55 and 65 inch. Comparing it to the Samsung in the store the picture was a bit crisper so I decided to give try and the price was right. Grabbed a wall mount and had it on the wall in an hour after deciding I was going to hanging it, could not have went up more easily.

Well while standing in line, I asked a younger lady if it was possible to install these new Smart TVs without assistance. She replied yes, if you just follow the prompts. This LG Smart TV is intuitive, and my husband and I were able to hook it up; get it going and I love it. The picture is bright and all the features are so cool; I now access my Amazon.Prime Video/Movies on my TV.

Beautiful picture, easy to operate and a joy to own. I am so happy with my first LG product, but won't be the last.

It is all around a great TV but the sound sucks will need a soundbar to get adequate sound pictures great but I'm just using it for streaming not cable or satellite so picture isn't at its best potential to receive 4K

We are very happy with our two new tv’s. Just wish the picture was a little lighter for tv programs.

I ordered 3 of these. 2 showed up defective and the third hasn’t arrived yet (UPS fault, not bestbuy). The first defective one was swapped out efficiently, the second one I’m still waiting on guidance to when it will be picked up. The one that is working well now is a nice tv for the price.

Initially, this was a pity purchase. Meaning, I went to buy this TV because it was cheap and small and fit in our current living space which is a tiny apartment. My previous "TV" was a 102" projection screen in my basement with a $13k projector, so obviously this was going to be a huge step down, right? Nope! Picture quality is actually very good, impressive actually! Sound is fairly decent too from such a small device, with downward firing speakers, not gaudy side firing ones, which keeps the footprint down. However, that's not enough to get me to give this a 5* review. What really gets this TV its rating is the user interface, the feature set and the capabilities of the TV. The user interface is adorable, there's a little bird/penguin creature that walks you through setup, without being annoying. Setup is quick and easy, the TV asks a few simple questions and then BOOM you're ready to watch. I'm using WiFi to keep the cable count down and the TV hopped right on my network. The TV offered to download a firmware update, which although it was over 1Gb was completed in less than 5mins, your results may vary. Once on my network, there's a broad array of options, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Vudu & YouTube to name a few. All apps required an update to open, but the updates were very fast, less than a minute each, once again, your mileage may vary. Logging in to the various services is the usual cumbersome arrow-pushing selection game, however once the credentials are entered login to the service is impressively quick. Also, the TV was able to access my NAS and all the movies, music and pictures on it so easily that my wife and kids figured it out. Speaking of which, they love the TV, too. Any downsides? OK, I do have a couple of gripes, NONE of which are large enough to change my recommendation. The first gripe is the how far apart the feet are; instead of having a pedestal type mount, this one uses outrigger feet. They're lightweight but sturdy, easy to install and keep the cat from knocking the TV over. However, I didn't realize the feet were going to be almost at the corners of the TV and this made it a little more complicated to find a piece of furniture the TV could sit on. You don't realize how few convenient pieces in your house are less than 40" wide until you try to find one to put a TV on. Next gripe is the user interface, I know, I know, I just said it was great and it is! However, there's a bit of a learning curve. I'm not a firm believer in reading owners manuals and I'm sure that if I had I would have figured this out, but LG has segregated the two main input formats: HDMI, Cable, etc are on one menu screen and streaming sources are on a completely different screen. I don't know why they did that, seems like it would be more intuitive to have your Blu-Ray player show up near your Netflix icon, but that's me. Took me a little bit to figure out how to switch between all of these, but once you figure it out it's not even an inconvenience. The last gripe is something everyone who uses WiFi on the TV should know about. When you turn the TV on it can take a while to login to the wireless router. I worried that the TV was defective, because it kept saying that there was no network connection (and there's no way to troubleshoot it that I've found by not reading the owners manual). However, if you give it a minute to make its connections, it then works flawlessly. So, overall, this TV is amazing. I'm happy with the size, a 43" has almost 15% more viewing area than a 40" which in a small space is huge!!! I love the way it works, I love the elegant aesthetic, I love that LG put so much thought into the design and functionality of this wee beastie. I would absolutely recommend this TV to anyone.

Pro: Easy set up for beginners! Includes a large pictorial "how to" chart. Love that Roku is built-in! Great picture. Affordable. Sound is good. Remote is small & basic. Cons: Speakers are beneath - prefer on sides or front. Remote - all buttons are dark in color - prefer to have them light up or glow in dark.

The TV has a very bright and clear picture. Sound is good. It is easy to install and set up. The size is perfect for a smaller to medium sized room. It is very light weight, so easy to move if needed.

Perfect mix of quality/price/size for our bedroom. My first smart tv, so not having to have a separate dvd/Netflix/vudu device is nice. Lightweight, easy to mount on the wall.

Walking in to Best Buy the TVs that catch my attention are always the big name products such as Samsung or Sony. When I mean big brands I mean the ones that are the most expensive ones; after all, more expensive the better, right? So LG was never really on my radar when I walked in. However, I got it because it was a good deal in terms of price, specs, and the fact that it was a smart TV for such a good price. I really underestimated this tv. It's incredibly user friendly, super easy set up, I was able to connect just about every streaming service. Amazing TV for such a good deal

This TV exceeded my expectations. The box and packaging it came in were solid keeping the tv protected. The ease of setup was simple enough my daughter age 13 was able to do it. It recognized my home network immediately and with one simple step this SMART tv was connected to the network. The colors are vivid and crisp so watching anything is a treat including video game play. The remote control is a standard remote but simple is good in my book! The remote does not light up in the dark nor do the buttons glow in the dark. The TV though is one of the best you will find in LED in this size.

Clear picture, can't comment on sound. Extremely lightweight. Smart app work great. One downfall I've found is when it comes to pairing a phone or tablet. We have very close neighbor's and found out the hard way that ANYONE can stream whatever they want to the TV. We randomly had a neighbor's phone screen take over our TV. I was hoping there would be a password or a warning on the screen for us to accept or reject but no luck that I could find so I had to disable everything due to the fact that we bought it for our daughter and don't need just anybody putting whatever they want on her screen.

I bought this TV for my kids PS4 gaming. They use it a ton for streaming and gaming. Loaded with features and a great picture, but a poorly designed remote and a bit cumbersome menu for easy navigation. Overall a fantastic deal for what I paid for it. Pros : Sharp picture Easy set up Good wifi performance while streaming Decent sound for TV speakers Cons: remote lacks a good "feel" very busy On screen menus too busy and not as friendly as they could be No direct input button on remote, have to navigate all through the super busy on screen menu. Overall LG just missed being a great TV with the lack of being user friendly. Well worth the buy.

Bigger than expected, I'll get used to it hopefully! Sound quality isn't bad at all. Apps don't lag like some say, at least not for me. I've included some pictures since I didn't see anyone else take some. Hopefully it helps you decide!

We bought this TV for our screened in back porch so we would not miss any big games while hosting friends. It didn’t disappoint. It has a very clear picture and is easy to operate, We love the smart tv features as well from watching Netflix to streaming music. It has been a great purchase!

After always having roommates with TV's, I was finally presented with the issue of needing to buy a TV this year, since recently living on my own. I waited for Black Friday, knowing I could get a good deal! This TV had mostly positive reviews and for only $279 on sale, I decided to go for it. It's very user friendly, picture is great, and was simple to set up! I love having a smart TV and being able to use Hulu and Youtube on it! Also love that I can control everything with my phone. I ordered it online for pickup in store and it was ready within hours, and despite going into the store on the evening of Black Friday, the employees were super friendly, helpful, and speedy with everything. Awesome customer service. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and the shopping experience!
