So far, so good. Only downside is the size makes loads smaller and takes longer to dry. May need to buy a second one to maximize time...

Beautiful purchase. I’ve been doing laundry all week. I was just finding things to wash just to use this machine. Love it love it and I really hate laundry.

Love that it can wash and dry in one cycle. Really simplifies laundry not having to remember or take time to switch the laundry over. Used the space saved by not having a separate dryer for additional organization.
Great washer, but dryer leaves a lot to be desired

I've had this unit for about a year now. It washes really well—no complaints there. But the drying process is extremely slow, even for small loads. It’s not uncommon for a cycle to take several hours, which defeats the convenience of an all-in-one setup.
There’s also a small but persistent drip underneath the machine, likely due to condensation buildup from the ventless dryer. Not a huge leak, but definitely something to watch out for.
Another issue: lint doesn’t collect well and seems to go right through the washer drain. That’s created a much higher risk of clogs in my plumbing, meaning I’ve had to be more proactive about clearing the drains than I was with traditional machines.
Overall, it's a sleek, space-saving option with great washing power—but be prepared for high maintenance and long drying times.
Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We understand your concerns about drying time, drip, and lint collection with your LG Wash Combo (WM6998HBA) model. We strive to provide high-quality products and exceptional services, ensuring a seamless experience. To improve drying, ensure the load size matches the drying cycle and keep the condenser clean, as proper condensation is crucial for ventless units. Great space saving unit. Used upstairs in bathroom. Still takes a little longer but not that bad.

We have had problems with drying since we bought the unit. It doesn't dry clothing well. There is almost no lint in the lint trap every time. The lcd screen frequently glitches out and the only fix we have found that works is unplugging the unti from the wall for 20 seconds or more.
Hi, Nihcole. Thank you for reaching out about your LG Wash Combo (WM6998HBA) model. We understand the importance of having both the wash and dry functions working smoothly.
Your unit is designed to collect lint internally, so seeing very little in the external lint trap can be normal. However, reduced drying performance can happen when airflow or sensor readings are affected. One helpful step is to run the Dry Sensor Calibration on your model. This allows the unit to relearn moisture levels and can noticeably improve drying results. For morehelp, visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6ZpcvjFcvo. For the LCD screen glitch, start with a full power reset by unplugging the unit for 20–30 seconds, which you’ve already done. If the problem persists, ensure the outlet is grounded, and the washer is plugged directly into the wall, not a power strip, to stabilize the display. We’d like to take a closer look at both the drying performance and the display behavior. Please send us an email at [email protected] so we can assist you further. ^Juvy .

This is great to be able to wash and dry in one setting.

Great decision. We didn’t really know how well we would like the unit. We liked how it would fit in a tight utility closet and the energy saving features. We just load it up and return in roughly 2-3 hrs. All done. Saves time as we don’t have to worry about switching the clothes from one unit to the other. Consider the down time of when you are not around or forget to switch from washer to dryer. If you are really concerned about time. Buy another unit (wait for a great sale as we did). Two loads completely done in 2-3 hrs. The clothes feel and smell fresh. They are also not over dried due to excessive heat. They actually feel slightly moist, but still dry if you know what I mean. Just make sure you keep the both filters clean (easy) and you shouldn’t have a problem. Very pleased and happy. Highly recommended.

This concept is a great idea. A great look in the laundry room. I just can't give 5 stars because the drying time is very long! I tried this unit out for about a week and the drying took anywhere from 5-7 hours.

We understood drying times could be longer but this is unacceptable! 24 hours constant drying for towels and anything else cotton. We are laying our underwear out in the room and our towels and bathroom rugs on the back porch to dry.
We’ve had the product since January so we’ve spent some time working with different settings and trying things, but it is NOT performing.
There are multiple areas to clear the lint from and a front drain, we do this 2x a week and it really hasn’t helped. Would not buy this ever again and would probably reconsider ever buying LG again as this product is so awful.
Hi there, KARLEENEU. Thank you for sharing your experience with us regarding the LG 5.0 Cu. Ft. HE Smart Mega Capacity All-in-One Electric Washer/Dryer WashCombo with Steam and Ventless Inverter Heat Pump in Black Steel. We understand that the drying times for your cotton items, like towels, are not meeting your expectations, even after clearing the lint and drain areas. We appreciate that you've been working with the settings since acquiring the unit in January.
We understand your inquiry about the long drying times. With an all-in-one unit that uses a ventless heat pump, one factor that can often impact drying performance is the size of the load and the thickness of the fabric. For heavy or bulky items like towels, we recommend selecting the "Normal" cycle with the "More Dry" or "Max Dry" level, and ensuring the load size is slightly smaller than a full wash load to allow proper air circulation. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-5-0-cu-ft-he-smart-mega-capacity-all-in-one-electric-washer-dryer-washcombo-with-steam-and-ventless-inverter-heat-pump-black-steel/JJ8VPZQ98S For further assistance and any specific concerns you may have, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. Dry time , wash time and everything else is very good. The ony problem I have with it is the lint the accumulates in the door gasket after every dry cicle. I understand I must clean the filter after every wash and dry, but now also cleaning the gasket it’s really too much time and struggle.

This product is doing a wonderful job washing and drying the clothes without having to move them between machines. The Wi-Fi connection also means I get notified on my phone when the cycle is complete. It also sends a follow-up reminder if the clothes are not removed.
