This unit has been being used for a week. It’s very slow and doesn’t dry most times. Today we had to drain the catch and it was full of lint. Very poorly designed, good thought but not good.

So beautiful, but unfortunately even I follow the instructions, every time that ai tried to use the dryer, the breakers were tripping and we went to the store and they just give us a support team business card, we didn’t want to spend more money in this project, so we returned it
Hi, Luis. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG Wash Combo (WM6998HBA) model. We’re glad you appreciated its design, but we understand your concern about encountering issues with the breakers tripping. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations. Your feedback is important to us, and we’d like to offer some insight.
Breaker tripping can sometimes occur if the dryer’s electrical requirements exceed the capacity of your circuit or if there’s an issue with the outlet or wiring. For future reference, ensuring the circuit meets the required specifications (usually a dedicated 240V circuit for electric dryers) can help avoid similar issues. For additional help, you may visit youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3PHk-jaLdvrEZzohaKRHFlzolUB9wzb6.
We regret that your experience led to a return, but we appreciate your feedback. If you ever consider trying another LG unit in the future, please feel free to send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport, and we’ll be happy to assist you with setup or troubleshooting.
Thank you for giving us a chance, and we hope to serve you better in the future. ^Juvy

Do not BUY has repair people out 6 times for pcb error and now it is leaking condensation from the detergent draw. The repair man that lg send out on the march 17th said the unit is unrepairable. After a month of it leaking they are sending a another repair person out. The customer service from lg sub par at best
I think the unit is a lemon but for lg to replace a unit it needed to have 3 repairs finished in 90day. I think lg is going to drag there feet until it is out of warranty and then i going to test bust buy warranty

Great washing and dryer combo, I love the new technology LG has to offer.
Hello there, MarieK. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that your WM6998HBA washer/dryer combo has presented challenges, including water remaining in the drum after a test run, extended drying times, and maintenance concerns. Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further.
To address these issues, please consider the following troubleshooting steps:
Water Remaining in the Drum After Test Run:
Drain Hose Position: Ensure that the drain hose is properly positioned and not inserted too deeply into the drain, as this can cause water to flow back into the washer. The end of the drain hose should be securely inserted but not so deep that it creates a siphoning effect.
Extended Drying Times:
Load Size: Avoid overloading the machine. The drying capacity is typically smaller than the washing capacity. For optimal drying performance, consider reducing the load size by half after washing.
Water Supply: Ensure that both the hot and cold water taps are fully open and that the inlet hoses are not kinked or bent. Proper water supply is essential for the drying function, as the unit uses water to condense moisture during the drying process.
Maintenance and Filter Cleaning:
Drain Pump Filter: Regularly clean the drain pump filter to prevent clogs and maintain optimal performance. To do this:
Open the access panel, usually located at the lower front of the washer.
Use the small drain hose to drain any residual water into a shallow pan.
Unscrew the drain pump filter and remove any lint or debris.
Rinse the filter under running water and reinstall it securely.
Simplifying Operation:
Cycle Selection: Familiarize yourself with the various wash and dry cycles to choose the ones that best suit your laundry needs. The Normal cycle is suitable for most general washing loads. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-wm6998hba#pdp_specs If these steps do not resolve the issues you're experiencing, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. Our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions tailored to your situation. We appreciate your patience and look forward to assisting you further.

only used for 2 weeks and found out we are unable to return. I would not recommend to anyone. Dry time is horrible. We are now going to have to buy another dryer. We bought this to save space.
Hello, JeanieS. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with ENERGY STAR® Certified LG Ventless Washer/Dryer Combo LG WashCombo™ All-in-One 5.0 cu. Ft. Mega Capacity with Inverter HeatPump™ Technology and Direct Drive Motor, Model # WM6998HBA. The drying times on this WasherDryer™ All-in-One will vary depending on your load type/weight. We recommend using a dedicated cycle for heavier loads (Jeans/Bedding/Towel) that will help with a better drying performance. Regularly cleaning the ezLintFilter located on the top of the WasherCombo™ All-in-One is key to an optimal drying performance and we recommend that you clean after every cycle. Depending on how frequently you do your laundry, check the drain pump filter occasionally to remove any residue or foreign objects that might get caught in the filter...^Ivan.
