A little quirky but awesome product. Bought to supplement our large family laundry needs but found using it as a primary due to lower energy use and ease of use. Gets everything very clean and dry.

I find the drying feature to work perfectly fine with reasonably sized loads, and this machine is a lifesaver if you are like me and don't have a dryer vent in a condo or apartment. But, there are some serious quality control problems on my machine. The washing machine struggles with anything even remotely bulky or heavy such as a plush cotton bathmat. I think it is not to handle anything with more bulk than sheets. I've had lots of problems while still under warranty including only being able to use the gentle cycle and having the dryer never shut off even after the clothes are bone dry. I would not buy again.

When the unit is working it was great. Easy to start and just let run and pull out clean dry clothes. Then the issues started. We've had three service calls to come fix the unit. None of which have actually fixed the original issue. Bought Jan. 2024 and worked great for 6-8 months. Suggest going with separate units. Too much money for issues and we regularly cleaned machine and still had it break down.

Hi, Deborah. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with your LG Wash Combo (WM6998HBA) model. We understand the importance of a reliable laundry solution after acquiring a new unit. It's great to hear the machine worked well for you initially.

To resolve any issues, consider running the Tub Clean cycle if you haven't recently, as it helps maintain performance and prevent buildup. Access it via Settings > Maintenance > Tub Clean. Also, ensure the unit is level at all corners to reduce vibration-related problems that could impact washing or drying. For additional guidance, visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16Uupf1OFmM. We’d like to take a closer look and assist you further. Please feel free to send us an email at [email protected] so we can continue supporting you directly. ^Juvy LG

So far so good, no complaints here. Best for my use case as I transferring wet clothes is not fun; I load dry clothes and get fresh clothes out of it, like a magic genie. Most important thing to remember is to never fill more than half the capacity to allow for enough breathing space (during drying). AI mode is really handy for general use. Towel and bedding mode is specific use case Allergen mode is good as well for steam washing. No guess work about amount of detergent required, just fill in the tank once and forget. Clean the lint once every few cycles. Low electricity usage due to heat pump and low water usage due to AI mode.

Had limited space to place a washer & dryer. So got this combo to conserve space. Was undecided between this one & Samsung. Ultimately ended up with the LG & glad i did. Works great. Yes it does take long to wash AND dry. But overall a great machine if your looking to conserve or have limited space.

We were impressed with the ability the unit can do. It’s exactly what a retired couple needs. No hassle with moving clothes to the dryer. Select the cycle you want and walk away. All clothes will be washed and dried when you’re ready to take them out. Some cycles are long on cycle time, but we’re retired. No problem with time. For a large family with a lot of dirty clothes, this unit probably won’t fit your needs. We love it.

I love my all-in-one. The space in my apartment for a washer and dryer is designed for a stacked unit. I hate those, they are so small. The all-in one is a full size washer and dryer that fits in that space. The only downside is that I can only do one load at a time, not have a load drying while another is washing.

What more can I say....ALL IN ONE! After about 7 months of using my wife loves the unit. It's the centerpiece of our kitchen, as our laundry room is offset from the kitchen, where we used to put a curtain up to hide our old machines this is the first thing people ask about when they come over. Putting a load in before bed and having it dry and wrinkle free for work the next morning is a convivence you can't beat! A family of 8 this is a no brainer. The app is kind of a novelty but it supplies features not available on the actual machine menu.

Upgraded from LG’s 1st gen model and appears that they’ve learned and incorporated some major improvements. The filter clean out on top is super convenient. The detergent reservoir you top off and let it dispense what’s needed based on load size is awesome. The “AI” does a fine job figuring out a given load and handling it from wash to rinse to dry. Very happy with the purchase. Wife loves having one machine that does it all. And not having tiny bits of dryer lint potentially creating an air quality issue like a traditional hot air dryer would is a very nice bonus.

This machine is awesome. I love being able to put the load in and that’s it until it’s washed and dried. And another cool feature is you it holds 18 loads of laundry soap and fabric softener. So you don’t add those every wash.

This washer dryer combo should have stayed in BETA testing. It's absolute garbage. Clothes don't come clean like your used to. I believe the washer just washes the soap down the drain, because the clothes have no smell whatsoever after completing washing. Worse than that, it requires at least 1 additional drying cycle before clothes are dry and usually 3. LG support is not good. they said they would have someone come to look at it and kept telling me by text for weeks that they were still trying to find someone to come look at it. They finally said they couldn't find someone in my area, but I live in a town of 7000 people but 20min from 2 towns of 40,000+. I'm guessing that they simply don't want to pay a tech a reasonable fee to come here. Also, meanwhile they sent some tech by text to help me and he was nasty and insisted that my drain hose was too far down the drain pipe and so I positioned it as he suggested and same poor result. After that he had no advise for me. This thing was expensive and it is simply useless. There's a lint trap that you must clean after every use and in spite of that lint clogs up a hose at the bottom front of the machine that you have access to and to unclog it, you have to drain a couple of gallons of water into a shallow pan meaning many trip to the sink with a shallow pan of water. How do you think that works out? And after that, it's functionality is still horrible. The worst part is that we've only used this machine about 10 times and lint is everywhere. Without that blower blowing the lint outside it's trapped everywhere in this machine. I've always bought Samsung until this expirement and I'm guessing Samsung has worked these issues out, so eventually I'll get one of those. In the meantime, I'm very glad we kept our old Samsung washer and dryer which is what we currently use.

We actually bought two of these units to replace our existing washer and dryer. Figure, why not run two loads at once and not have to change from washer to dryer in between?! Worked great for the first couple of months. Now starting to have significant issues getting loads to dry appropriately. I've called in to LG customer support multiple times and every time I get a lecture about how these units are different, etc. I've cleaned every filter I can. I've cleaned the condenser. They refuse to send out a technician to look at the units because they don't want someone to come out and have it not be an issue that is their responsibility and now they have to charge me for the service call. I'd give the product itself 4 out of 5 stars. Customer service 1 star
