Let me start off by saying I’m a LG fan! But I’m little disappointed in this particular sound bar. It has great clarity, Dolby Atmos, and other features. But over all it is lacking true bass. The volume goes pretty high for a sound bar granted it does cost you about $1000.00, but I can’t claim it’s at the top price of brands. As most people I went in and adjusted all the different levels to get the sound just how I wanted to hear it, and everything was set just right except the BASS......ugh! I mean I freaken tweaked this unit for about 2 1/2 hrs. I adjusted the bass and different modes until my figures and ears drums got raw. LG, something not right when you can turn the bass up to 6db but you can turn the bass down to a -15?!?!?! That’s pretty weird.....however I couldn’t get a true rumble out of this 10in Sub man. I mean we purchased a Vizio sound bar the 2:1 I believe and it has I believe a 5 or 6in Sub and this little bad boy goes hard!!!! I mean the whole thing for only $200 sounds pretty good for the price! LG you have the best TV on the market hands down! Please go back and get the bass on this sound bar right, so the sound bar can be complete and match the OLED!

Overall, I am very impressed with the sound from this sound bar. Quality is incredible, subwoofer is great. The setup was simple. I can't recommend this enough.
The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5, is that when I am using it for sound from my computer, I have to turn it off and back on again each time in order to get the sound to play. A minor inconvenience, but compared to how great the rest of it works, it gets quite annoying.

4.5 Stars! A little on the expensive side but great quality and sound. Had the disconnect issue for a while but it has gone away since switching HDMI cables. Plenty of bass. I think the bass issue/complaint has a lot to do with room size and placement (moving the speaker closer or further from the wall will change the impact of the bass). I bought the rear channel speakers too. Overall pretty pleased with the setup.

This sound bar delivers amazing sound and performance from the beginning. So easy to set up and install. Many different settings you can choose from for different sound effects. Plus the cherry on the cake is, Dolby Atmos hits off the charts, like your in the movie theater. The speakers are smooth sounding and clear . Would recommend to everyone looking for a great sound bar at a great price point.

Great sound, have it hooked with my CX 65', xbox erie's x, PS5. I now have the ultimate entertainment set up. For people that have their sub disconnect, just distant it from your router and reset the bar and sync the sub with wifi off.

First the positive...it sounds good. Night and day difference over the standard LG CX tv audio.
Now the issues...
1. The LED is constantly on when the sound bar is powered on. There is no way to turn it off. It will dim, but will not go off until the bar is powered down.
2 This sound bar is designed to be paired with the LG CX/GX tv models; however, if you use the included TV stand, the sound bar is too tall and block part of the screen while using it. This also causes the IR sensor to be blocked and difficult to turn the TV on (once on, eARC is enabled on the sound bar and the remote works as expected). If you have a wall mounted TV that won't be an issue, but there in lies another problem..
3. If you wall mount your TV you will most likely want this sound bar to be sitting on a TV stand as it is almost 6" deep when you mount it to the wall (the 2020 sound bar models don't have the slim mount like 2019).
4. The sound bar has very poor integration with the LG CX. I expected to be able to use my magic remote to control all of the advanced settings, but instead I am forced to use the remote that came with the sound bar and the LG Wi-Fi Speaker app. Because of eARC, I can at least use the volume controls with my magic remote, but I was expected much more integration by staying within the LG ecosystem.

This system was a great buy for the sale price.
Its a great system for medium sized rooms The sound is good especially when watching movies or apps with Dolby.
The Google software setup could be easier but once setup the wifi and blutooth work well. I also got a great LG boom as it was a promotion. Couldn't be more pleased.

1st soundbar had a defective subwoofer. Had to return. 2nd soundbar works great, espicially when the 75” lg Nanocell is set to e-arc. However, the subwoofer will intermittently disconnect for a few seconds. It immediatly reconnects but can throw off a movie. Otherwise the audio is great! But the long term use of this will tell if it was worth it.

Worked well out of the box. Really easy to set up when I connected it to a LG OLED tv. Subwoofer doesn't do much unless you have a movie on and it is cranked up but then it really sounds good.

Bought this LG to pair with my LG OLED TV but should have known better. While it sounds ok, which isn’t a ringing endorsement, it suffers the same problem as every LG product that uses WiFi: if you own a wireless mesh system or a high-end multi-access point wireless system, your WiFi setup will be an adventure. LG assumes that every device in a home is on the same wireless SSID, access point and frequency. If your LG soundbar and the mobile device you use are different in any of these regards, setup will fail, or worse, partially fail. I have a wireless mesh system in my home and the only way I’ve ever overcome this is to literally disable all SSIDs, Access Points and frequencies except one during setup. Every LG device in my home is like this. C’mon LG, it’s 2020.
You might think, like I did, “well I’ll just leave the WiFi unconfigured after I update the firmware.” Except the soundbar then nags you about it and keeps dropping audio every time it does. Which makes no sense LG—why, exactly, do you cut out eARC audio when there’s a WiFi config/connection issue? They are unrelated. You also can’t use half the configuration and management features, like AI Calibration, unless it’s setup because it uses Google Home and relies on this super rigid WiFi config.
Summary: I have an LG soundbar that sounds better than my TV but I can’t use the full range of features because my home’s tech is 2020 and LG is stuck in the 90s.

We went from the 3.1.2 Channel 480W and just wow! After some adjustment to the sound settings, you can't go wrong with this soundbar, great sound for movies, sports, & tv shows. I accidentally bought the version that doesn't come with the 520W and it didn't last 24 hours because of the sound quality.
Google assistant is a must feature!
If you can get an open-box deal and you are having trouble connecting to wifi. you can reset the bar entirely by pressing down on the google assistant button for 10 secs.

Not that loud! Love the ease of connecting to devices (smart phones, laptop, game systems, tv) and syncs volume with such devices. Hopefully having a couple extra speakers will rectify the volume issue. Extremely clear sound; no static or break of the sound.

I absolutely love this soundbar's quality. Sure a home theater would be preferable, but compared to lower price sound bars and TV speakers, this is wonderful. Dolby Atmos content sounds amazing, and plugging a UHD player into the back to take full advantage of any audio format is as easy as it can be and works seamlessly. I took a star off of my rating because about every few weeks I have to power cycle the unit because audio drops out, and that sometimes it doesn't show up in the app. The app issue is pretty low of a problem because I only use the app to adjust the room calibration so only something I need to do in my case when I change my setup. Pretty much any adjustment I need to do can be done with the remote so I am cool with that

This sound bar sounds great with movies or general television watching. When switching to just music, the quality is not the same. I have tried various settings to enhance the sound quality but its just not there. At higher volumes the sub would actually cut out. My assumption is out of protection to the sub itself but I really didn't have it that loud in my opinion. My Samsung soundbar on different TV was half the price and sounded much better on music. Since the primary reason the LG soundboard was purchased was for movies and TV its a keeper. If you are generally entertaining people I would strongly encourage you to test the soundboard at the store and make sure you are satisfied

It’s not as loud or crazy good as my BOSE that I bought in 2016
I mean it gets loud on some things and the Bass drops amazing on some of my games on Xbox One.
The Google home never worked and I tried multiple times with the app and setup.
Left it alone. But it does get annoying when the thing not in use and Google assistant comes on and scares the F out of you at night when everyone is asleep if the volume was left on high.
I don’t recommend it at the price point. Even at a $1,000 my Bose was a medium sound bar with 7.1 and with an actually Module which was nice at the time and it sounds amazing for the same price. Not to knock LG around the by make great things just this one didn’t do it for me

Got a great deal on this sound bar with it being on sale. Has good sound and automatically switches to Dolby atoms when playing a movie and has great sound for the size of the room.
My only complaints are that the set up process was extremely irritating because the instructions that come in the box are not helpful at all. I went online and found a full detailed manual that they should probably just add to the box because what they provide is absolutely useless. I also was advised by the Best Buy employee who assisted me with this purchase that I didn’t need any additional wiring, however you need to purchase a separate hdmi cable if you want to take advantage of the Dolby atoms and other functions.

Generally have been happy with this. Setup is easy and sound is good. However, right at the one year mark the Subwoofer died - doesn’t have power. You can’t easily find a replacement woofer as a standalone purchase. I bought a different woofer that should pair but I’ve had issues getting that to work.
I did buy the rear speakers which paired easy and work great so far. I just wish the woofer would work or getting information on where to repair / but a replacement was easier.

I'm not an audiophile but have had enough sound systems through the years to know what I enjoy. While this is my first sound bar setup, I do enjoy it but would have liked to have surround sound speakers. The custom sound profile does sound the best since it was created for the room it's in and use that profile 95% of the time for shows, movies, music and games. On occasion I like to use headphones and would have liked to have had some way to connect either blue tooth headphones or even a headphone jack. While it sounds great, I'm not sure it's worth the price tag as I've heard cheaper systems sound great as well.
