We're not even sure when these scratches are happening. The high-powered burner works very well on all settings, from superboil to simmer. My biggest complaints are with the oven racks. First, the wires are widely spaced, making it easy for food items placed directly on them (bread slices, smaller potatoes) to fall through them. Secondly, they feel a bit cheap, maybe because of the wide spacing. It's such a strange contrast to an otherwise very nice range. Setting the timer is more challenging tan on my last range, but I am getting used to it.
