A big disappointment. 1) The glass top is garbage. When cleaning up the cooktop with cleaner made for smooth surface cooktops the glass was chipped in two places. 2) The glass has a grid texture and i have found this makes it more difficult to clean than other cooktops. The same goes for the rubber seal on the edge of the cooktop as it is tough to clean. 3) The air fryer feature has been useless for us. Results varied and it wasn't worth it. 4) The control panel feels like cheap garage. The buttons need pressed really hard to adjust cooking temp and there's no feedback other than the temp changing. The buttons are all flat so they don't feel like they give when pressed but it's not a touch screen that uses infrared. Really, really, really poorly designed.

Worst electric range when it comes to cleaning stove top. Very first time I used it couldn't get it cleaned. Told Appliance Manager day I bought it the reviews about cleaning the top were bad. He said not so. All you have to do it poor some Dawn Detergent on it and scrub. Said he buys it at Sam's Club and only thing he has to use. Clearly he knows nothing about the new cook top. He must have an older model. The new one is not a smooth top. It is like they took a very fine mesh and adhered it to the top. Spills and splatters get stuck in the holes in the mesh and impossible to get out. Believe the reviews. Don't buy it.

Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG Range (LREL6323S) model. We understand your concern about the foil warning isn't as clear, especially after experiencing damage to the interior. We aim to provide top-notch products and ensure a smooth experience. To prevent foil from melting and potentially damaging your oven, we recommend avoiding the use of aluminum foil directly on the oven floor or in areas that may interfere with heat circulation. Instead, consider using oven-safe liners or placing foil around food, but not in direct contact with heating elements.

Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG Range (LREL6323S) model. We understand your concern about dealing with heating issues, especially when the cooktop doesn't heat up properly, and to have burn spots on the glass after just one use. we strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations. For the heating issue, here are a few things we can check: Ensure that the range is connected properly to the power supply. If the burners aren’t heating, there might be an issue with the power connection. Try using multiple burners to see if the issue persists across all of them. This will help determine if the problem is isolated to one burner or if it's affecting the entire cooktop. Regarding the burn spots on the glass, this could be due to a variety of factors like excessive heat, improper cookware, or cleaning methods. We recommend checking the care and cleaning instructions in the user manual to ensure the cooktop is being cleaned correctly, as harsh cleaning products or abrasive scrubbing can sometimes cause damage. For more help, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/general-maintenance-and-cleaning-ranges-and-cooktops--20152320015536. If the cooktop continues to have issues or if the burn spots don’t come out, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport with more details about your situation. We’ll be happy to assist further and help explore repair or replacement options if necessary. ^Juvy LG

    3 year follow-up: Avoid LG

We've owned this model since July 2021. Less than a year in, the display started having one bar go out. Now, 3 years in, I have no clue what the display says, it's all haywire and the oven doesn't get to temperature. Either the computer is fried, the heating element damaged, or the thermostat in the oven. Regardless, $800 and name brand should last more than 3 years. Their measly 1 year parts and labor warranty should've been my warning. They clearly don't even stand by their own product. I'll NEVER buy LG kitchen appliances ever again. (my Samsung fridge has outlasted this oven. The last problem I thought I'd have.)

Hello there! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your situation with the LREL6323S oven, and about the issues you're experiencing with the display and oven temperature. We truly appreciate your feedback and would like to assist you in resolving this.

For the display issue, it could be helpful to check if the oven is in "Demo Mode," as this can sometimes cause display malfunctions. You can also try resetting the unit by unplugging it for a few minutes, which might help with the display issues.

As for the oven temperature, it's possible that the thermostat may need to be recalibrated. We recommend reviewing the user manual for calibration instructions, or if you'd like, our team can guide you through the process in more detail.

Please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and we’ll be more than happy to explore additional solutions for both the display and temperature concerns. We understand how important it is for your appliances to work properly, and we’re here to support you.

    Avoid LG Appliances

Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After owning the LG LREL6323S for 2 years, I can safely say that this is the worst product I've ever purchased. After yet another dinner was randomly lit on fire / expensive pan scorched from a burner on 5, on the LOW side of the dial, despite cooking the exact same thing at the exact same temp/time, in the exact same pan, the night before and it came out perfect, I decided to do a bit of investigating online. I though it was "just me," [though I've never had more than 1-2 over/undercooked meals adjusting to a new electric range], I realized I have the same laundry list of problems everyone else does: the body of entire appliance gets dangerously hot even when not using the cooktop. Burners cycle weird and either over or underheat things. The display randomly has parts of the numerals burn out. The glass top is ruined as soon as *anything* drips, spatters, or is merely set on it, and is impossible to clean. If you want to bake or roast something at 425, the oven just decides, "well, you meant 350 or 400, right? Also, sorry it's preheating and you can't change the temp." The blue enamel interior in mine isn't flaking YET, but it is around the latch, I just don't bake a ton, so I'm expecting that to rear it's head. Mine also locked, threw a code, and refused to respond to the control panel while Christmas dinner was in the oven, and I had to pull it out from the wall & reset it while dinner was being turned into charcoal inside. I got this as part of a package deal (I believe full price was ~$1200 for the range), and I can't believe the absolute garbage quality of LG's mid level appliances: cooking on this thing is a 50/50 shot if you're eating dinner that night, the flimsy latch of the dishwasher kept acting up the first couple weeks and refused to let the machine run, and what I thought was just residue from the protective plastic on the front of the fridge is weird bubbly tarnishing that no gentle cleaner will remove, and I'm definitely not gonna try and hit it with Barkeepers Friend and make it worse. OK, the microwave that came with the set works great with no cosmetic or functional issues, 1/4 is pretty good, right?

The ceramic glass top is very hard to clean. Mine also has a crack and lines now from where it’s broke. Warranty refused to cover because it does look like something might have fallen on it. It’s possible I have 3 young teens. But seriously you can’t withstand something falling on it? The only thing I can think of is my glass salt shaker but come on…. That should be more durable for the price you play. It’s 8 months old!!

    Issue with manufacturing process

Within a few months of purchasing the front right burner would randomly get stuck on high, even when the setting was on low, so it made using that burner difficult not knowing when it would happen. Luckily it was still under warranty, so we were able to get it fixed. Now, just over a year later, the front left burner is now doing the same thing, but now it is no longer in warranty, so we would have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. The gentleman that came to fix the burner the first time explained to us that it is a common issue during manufacturing, the wires are being soldered too close together, so it causes them to sporadically cross, which of course causes problems.

One month out of the year warranty for this stove, and it completely turned into a piece of garbage. The burners started operating on high no matter what setting the switch was on and the elements burned out and quit working. The cost to fix it was more than a new stove for the new switches and burners. Save your money and go get a hot plate. I won’t be buying any more appliances at Best Buy. Hi, Jaclyn. Thank you for reaching out to us about your LG Range (LREL6323S) model. We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we understand how important it is for your oven to maintain a consistent temperature, especially during holiday cooking.

For this model, one helpful step is to run the oven calibration feature to ensure the temperature settings align with actual performance. You can access this by going to Settings > Oven > Calibration and adjusting as needed. It’s also a good idea to check that the door seal is intact and closing fully, since heat loss can cause the temperature to drop after preheating. Hi, Diana. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG Range (LREL6323S) model. We understand encountering an error after using the self‑clean function, especially when the unit is only 18 months old.

For this model, Error F9 typically indicates a problem with the oven’s door lock mechanism or related circuitry, which is why service is required to resolve it. Unfortunately, the self‑clean cycle can sometimes place stress on components due to the high heat involved. You can find more details on error codes and troubleshooting here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-range-error-codes-list--20150154166283. Ran the self clean three weeks after having the unit, side wall warped and now when I slide the rack in on second or third spot it scratches the enamel on the side. I have been waiting for weeks for LG to figure out what to do. They sent a tech and the side can’t be replaced. They tried saying they don’t cover cosmetic damage, but this is defiantly a manufacturing defect.

You will not like the Plus + and Minus - oven temperature selection. You will really dislike how hot the oven makes the stainless steel top portion of the oven door and the front edge stainless steel strip on the front band of the cooktop. Keep any toddler's far away from this stove when the oven is on. Seriously..

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Duly-noted. Thank you for taking the time to provide your product design feedback. We will share this with our research and development teams for future consideration. ^Jennifer LG
