Keeps the room cool and it comes with a remote which makes it very convenient to turn off and on. Definitely worth the money. Would highly recommend.

This Window Air Works Great & Saves Us Money

I do have central air, and that works well however, the upper level does not have attic space, and it gets quite hot up there. Since I put this air conditioner in the window up there, it keeps it at a steady temp. (whatever my son has it set at, it is nice and cool and no humidity). But I was also able to raise the thermostat on my main level to save my central air from running non-stop.

The curtains provided do not open wide enough for a 33 and 1/2 inch window opening. Had to use duct tape to cover both sides.

Cools down ok being its made for a smaller room but it was the only size to fit that window. Keeps room cool enough and if you add a floor fan its good.

It’s quieter than the other AC’s in our home, but still efficient. The one complaint I have is the air flow direction. It points up instead of out and our blinds interfere with the airflow. I would prefer it to allow change in airflow direction to suit home and window differences.

Also, the air is focused up and not forward, as the picture seemed to show. The air goes up into the window shade, rather then into the room. Screw holes were not good. Unable to attach the sliding side curtains. It is adequate but not quite suited to our needs.
