LG Signature OLED is...

Awesome! So I've had the entry level B6 and recently the Sony A1E. Unfortunately, neither one worked out for my setup or viewing pleasure. I bought the B6 on Black Friday on the recommendation of a sales rep. Unfortunately, even with all the reviews and research I did before and after, I felt it was too dark in some dark scenes which took away the details such as hair and tone. So I returned and waited on the G6 price to drop ($7k at the time). Then the A1E was announced by Sony and I said that was a must have due to their processor on the LG OLED panel. I was disappointed with the Android TV OS, it just wasn't fluid and had an ugly UI. The picture was as advertised, but moving the TV felt uncomfortable and so fragile. So I exchanged it for the updated G7, and I primarily use it for gaming, streaming Netflix and movies. I am glad I bought it on sale, because aesthetically this TV IMO is worth its price tag. The UI and webOS 3.5 is sleek and fluid. The color and contrast on this TV is as advertised for an OLED especially LG's Signature series. So far watching the same dark scenes and shows, the details are there now and the brightness is perfect. It doesn't wash the details or image viewing experience. Gaming on this TV is such a pleasure on my PS4 Pro, can't wait to hook the Xbox One X on it in November! The soundbar looks better than the E7's and just makes this TV easier to move around if necessary. Everything about the G7 feels and looks premium, especially that picture on glass look with the black back panel. At the end of the day, no TV is perfect, but if you are in the market for an OLED and don't plan on wall mounting the TV, or don't want any soundbars blocking the TV, then get the LG OLEDs. If you don't want entry level or top of the line, the E7 would be the way to go. And if you care for the aesthetics of the TV itself, the G7 is it. Love my G7 and hope it'll last for years to come!

I choose a store pick-up to purchase this TV after doing much looking/reading/researching on-line. The TV is impressive without a doubt, but a bit overwhelming. I was disappointed that there was no User Manual included with the TV. It has a "manual" built in to the TV but I would rather have something I can page through to familiarize myself with the features instead of hunting through the on-screen manual and burning up display life/electricity. LG said to include a manual would be like looking through a telephone book. Anyway, the unboxing went pretty smoothly except for the base/speaker/stand. The included screws used super fine thread and they seemed very difficult to install with a fear of cross-threading. Going against their recommendations I put a small amount of oil on the threads to ease the task.....slow and careful!! The picture?? It was impressive for sure!! The one thing to watch out for is the reflectivity of the screen. Any kind of light in the room does create a reflection on the screen on black or dim pictures. The speaker/stand sounded quite good compared to other built-in speakers and you could get away with just using that but for fans of surround sound and such a better system would sound better, of course. In the end I decided to return the set due to the screen reflections and the difficulty is working through the settings. The price was expensive compared to the other LG OLED's but the picture on glass thinness is quite impressive. Since I returned the set the price has gone down $1k, so who knows? If I can get the room set up better I may spring for the set again?

Coming from a plasma, the colors are even better, and the blacks specifically are remarkable. Easy to set up, and very thin form factor. Highly recommend.

Found this on an awesome open box deal and haven’t regretted the purchase since! I’ve owned every type flat of panel technology over the last 15 years, and this one blows them all away. Best blacks since my pioneer elite plasma. Motion is also infinitely better than the LED. After being disappointed with the LCD/LED attempts at improving motion, I finally have a TV with the motion and blacks from the old plasma days on a thinner and lighter panel than our high end LED of the same size. The HDR color and 4K picture is breathtaking. No issues with burn in as reported by other users despite my wife leaving it turned with internet browsers or other smart apps up for hours. I’ve got this years 77 inch on order and can’t wait to get it on the wall!

This TV has an amazing picture. The color separation is fantastic and much better than my older Pioneer Elite Kuro television. You will not be disappointed.

The picture quality is spectacular and the aesthetics of the TV is very nice. I like the webOS interface and the included magic remote, combined with support for HDMI-CEC was enough to make me return an expensive Logitech universal remote I purchased. However, the panel and software is exactly the same for the other TVs in the series. The sound, though advertised as Dolby Atmos, doesn't quite feel like it envelopes the viewer (though I have not had experience with other systems). Therefore, you're paying the price premium over LG's other OLED TVs for the aesthetics and the improved sound quality only.

Beautiful picture. Very clear. Worth the cost. I have had people who have seen the TV on and have made comments on how clear and a great picture. I waited till there was a good sale & finally gave up my old tube 65” Mitsubishi. Glad I did. I have DirecTV and don’t even have the HD DVR yet and have a great picture!!!!! How better can it get?

LG OLED65G7P IS THE TOP OF THE LINE TV. Actually many publication review confirmed that LG OLED65C7P IS THE TOP OF THE LINE; however LG OLED65G7P is the top of the 65 inch TV; one step over LG OLED65C7P TV.
