Lg 80 series
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv by far is one of the greatest, the picture and sound quality is great, lots of features on the app side and very responsive, the magic remote is great just takes awhile to get used to it, use it for gaming and tv viewing, it does have some light bleeding at the right corner but overall not bad for the cost

This TV is Edge Lit - has light bleeding
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hope this stops others from buying this TV if light bleeding bothers you (see photo). For reference, the day before I bought a Samsung TV that I did not realize was edge lit (did not know to look for this in a TV). It had preposterous light bleed on the edges. I returned it to Best Buy. The salesperson I spoke with swore up and down this LG QNED, despite being edge lit also, would not have light bleed like the Samsung. If anything, the light bleed was worse on the LG and it cost $300 more than the Samsung! Why does light bleed matter? If you watch a letter boxed movie/TV show it is tremendously distracting. Even just dark content, you can see bleed from the edges into the TV over the content washing it out. I ended up buying a $300 cheaper LG TV that was Direct Lit and zero light bleeding. Do not believe anything about this TV saying it has local dimming and it will not have edge bleed. It will. It is edge lit and no better than the most bargain Black Friday TV there is, even though it cost over $800.

Worth it, but only on sale
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the best TV, especially for the price, but it has a lot of great gaming features. Ultimately, you're getting a budget 8(0) series TV. The FPS counter, for gaming, goes well with features like VRR - but, don't expect to be blown away by the image quality. The "backlight bleed effect" is extremely noticeable when viewing the TV on an angle, but goes away when in front of it. A great addition, especially for a PS5/Xbox Series X, If on sale, but otherwise I'd get a Samsung. LG's HDMI ports are horrible and will lose signal sometimes (when turning on an external device). Never had that issue with my Samsung or TCL

Not my cup of tea
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv was pretty nice until the screen gets dim or shows any dark colors. Then you get to see all of the edge lit bulbs, and it’s a terrible eye sore. Not to mention the backlight bleed. Everything else looked fine as far as colors. I returned it because for the price, I expected a little more. As far as gaming goes, everything worked. 4k 120 on ps5 and my 40 series gpu. I ended up getting an Lg oled B2 and I’m very happy with it.

Horrible Backlight issue – Do Not Buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV and was not until after the day 20 (after the 15 day return period) that I realized the absolutely horrible backlight bleeding issue. Dark screens have this white light that bleeds into the image. Now I am stuck with this TV that Best Buy will not take back. The 2016 model TV I had prior to purchasing this model was way better and did not have an issue. Last time I purchase both an LG as well as a TV from Best Buy.
