    GREAT COLOR, BAD LIGHT LEAKS

The rating was challenging because overall picture phenomenal; bright, sharp, and full of deep color. The menu system is fluid and easy, remote is light and easy to use too. The speakers are able to get loud without getting tinty or distorted, and have a good range. Nothing that would replace a full range speaker set, but we are able to comfortably watch shows with a range of audio. The TV itself feels strong, and actually a bit heavy. What took away two stars was the strong the light leaks. I read the reviews on here, and a few people mentioned, while most did not. I thought, okay so there were a few lemons, chances are mine won't have it. I'm convinced that likely all these TVs have the issue because of the nature of the light leaks. The leaks are not always visible - when content fills the screen, a trained eye looking for them would be able to find them. When the screen is all dark, they're not visible because of the dynamic dimming. When they are visible, and strongest is when watching letterboxed content - most movies or dramatic TV shows. The TV needs to drive the backlight LEDs at full power to light the scenes within the letterbox, and with the backlights at full power, the light leaks show up VERY bright within the black letterbox. Watched shows over a couple nights, and my eye kept being pulled to the bright leaks. I've been a long time LG fan, I love the simple elegance of the webos menu system that doesn't try to outsmart me, great advanced controls, and typically great build quality. Unfortunately, while we love everything else about the TV, I'm going to have to return and try another brand - the light leaks are just too strong to ignore. I looked at several other sets with the same/similar display technology, and I see lots of similar complaints. I hope LG gets this figured out, but likely they're leaning in to future technologies and LCD technology is getting the cold shoulder. I will try to upload some objective pictures when I have an opportunity later.

    Great Picture, Terrible Edge lighting

The picture sharpness is very good. The size, form factor and overall physical aesthetic of the set is gorgeous. The game mode is an awesome addition, as well as the 4k HDR and 120hz refresh rate. Then there is the edge lighting. Oh man I wish I would have done more research about edge lighting. I wouldnt have purchased this Tv to be honest. When there is something on the screen its not so bad but if you watch cinematic movies or play dark games like diablo 4, the edge lighting is very distracting. overall 7 out of 10.

The tv was pretty nice until the screen gets dim or shows any dark colors. Then you get to see all of the edge lit bulbs, and it’s a terrible eye sore. Not to mention the backlight bleed. Everything else looked fine as far as colors. I returned it because for the price, I expected a little more. As far as gaming goes, everything worked. 4k 120 on ps5 and my 40 series gpu. I ended up getting an Lg oled B2 and I’m very happy with it.

Great picture when image is bright. Terrible with the darks. If the picture or image is dark you can’t see anything unless it’s pitch black in your home.

My Sony 65'' x900h died right after warranty ran out ( good job Sony) so got this for my dad in kind of a hurry. So if you go QNED just save up and get the QNED mini led upgrade it will have much brighter picture and much better blooming due to the vastly larger amounts of dimming zones. but if none of that matter and you want a huge TV to fill in a room, go for it.

Definitely not a fan. You’ll get screen burn fast. The webos sucks. Not user friendly. Quality is comparable. Switches

It’s a good set and moving from a 55 to 65 was a nice evolution. But going from LED to this QNED was not a big jump. Picture is not as crisp nor detailed as I was led to believe. The blacks are blacker. But when watching sports I was told the action was going to be a big difference. Not so much.

Gotta be honest, I can’t tell much difference between this and the 8 year old tv it replaced. I thought I was buying something incredibly high tech. It is not overly impressive. It does work and function as it should though.

Screen is great, they definitely need and update on their home software. Same as 5 years ago. Couldve been $200 less.
