ARC troubles - giving up and buying another brand

Unfortunately, my LG 65" OLED C1 tv's ARC soundbar interface stopped working. I worked with LG since it is only a few months old and they sent a tech to repair the TV, and they replaced the entire mainboard in the system and it does the same thing. I have two different soundbars, one brand new, and they all do the same thing. This whole thing was working fine up until it wasn't. And no, it's not the settings or whatever, they sent me a PDF showing this long procedure that will fix it, but it requires a bunch of unplug this, reset that, power this off for a minute, replug, then shift HDMI cables around .. it's amazing that this is their workaround. I am really disappointed in the basic operation of a soundbar. The optical output works but you lose all remote control of the soundbar and have another remote to real with. The TV has a nice picture but I am considering the software or HDMI ARC interface faulty and will be shopping for another brand. Unfortunately, it's a few months old so I'm sure I can't return it.

Would not recommend buying this tv at all, we purchased in 2021 and it no longer turns on. When attempting to turn on it clicks, the red light flashes, and then clicks off again with no picture ever coming on or anything. Tried to reset, tried to unplug drain power and try again. I even went as far as to purchase a new power board online. Nothing at all works, at this point I need to cut my losses. Please be aware of this issue before buying, after researching further it appears to be a very common problem. I will definitely stick with Sony although a little more money. I still have my original Bravia from 2014. My next purchase will be another Bravia.

I didn't know until the geeks came to set up my TV that LG does not support the Spectrum app. So, I have to stream everything through Apple TV which is probably not Ideal. I have found that scenes that are back lit or in shadow are nearly or completely blacked out about half the time. I believe this may be due to content coming through Apple. I was very pleased with Best Buy's Geek Squad. They were on time and very professional. I would not recommend this TV if your provider is Spectrum.
When I found out that I had to stream through Apple TV I should have sent it back to the store.

Absolutely awful in for a home theater

I bought this as LG OLED65C1 as a replacement for an older model TV that didn't support eARC. Initially, the setup went smoothly but after a couple days, the TV couldn't get a signal from my Denon receiver. But the Firestick and DVR connections worked fine. So it obviously wasn't the cable out of my receiver to the TV. After trying a few different things, the signal returned. But not for long.
Well, I thought I'd try buying an Ultra High Speed cable just to make sure it wasn't the older cable. Same results. I then replaced my new Denon receiver with an older model from another company that only supported ARC. Same results.
The cable connection would fail occasionally.
I called LG Customer Service. The rep took over my TV. At the point she started, the receiver to TV connection was working. She switched one setting on the TV and the connection failed. She told me to remove the Dishtv, Firestick and DVR cables from the back of my receiver and plug them directly into the back of the TV. As you can imagine, in a home theater, that's not terribly easy. When I asked her what the next step would be if they all worked, she said I would have to contact the Denon Customer Service because it wasn't an LG issue. This was after told her that I'd already tried the connection on two different company's receivers.
Please don't go through what I went though. Don't buy an LG for your home theater!

After six months this TV stopped turning on at all. No red power light!
I put in for a repair about two months ago and it is still pending.
I am not happy with LG!
Now I just have a big black mirror that I paid 2k for.
When it worked it had great picture and all, but it needs to turn on for that, which it doesn’t.
I’m not happy at all!

Stunning image quality, but my TV shut itself off after an hour and wouldn't turn back on. I unplugged it for a bit and tried again; this time it turned back on, but shut off again after about a minute. It went straight back into the box so I can return it tomorrow. To say I'm disappointed that this TV lasted about an hour would be an understatement.

Worked well for almost 2 years and then got a vertical line on the screen which prompted the TV to keep turning off. Called Orange County TV repair and they charged me $130 to tell me I need a new screen to fix it. I called LG and they said it’s out of warranty and would not help me. I have other LG TV’s at my home and after this experience I may go back to Samsung. Not happy that a $2,000 TV broke on me that quickly and that LG customer service extremely lackluster. This was not a cheap TV and I am very disappointed with LG and this product. LG OLED screens are GARBAGE.

My LG tv died after 10,500 hours and LG refused to fix it because it was out of warranty. They don't stand behind their product. Don't buy this garbage.

No hbo max. No discovery+. Disney+ doesn’t work. They literally tell you to cast from your phone to the tv which destroys image quality. I pay top dollar and am told i need to use other devices to make my tv work? Yeah your picture quality is there when you’re using the 3 apps it actually has. It’s ridiculous that we’re literally buying 2021 products and having antiquated services. This tv will be returned if i don’t receive the support and services that should be with a high end model. Also, I’m in the US. Why are there more apps for the balkans and other countries? How the heck does this fly?
