We recently bought an older condo (built in the early 1980s) and our Samsung washer/dryer stackable set would not fit in. In fact, most of the newer laundry units in general would not fit because they must have not anticipated that laundry machines would not change in the future! The only thing that would have fit was the oldish looking stacked white laundry with top loading washing and front loading dryer combos. UGLY! We needed something better. We were seeking something sleek, modern, lots of functionality for different settings, and definitely thinner! Although this unit fit perfectly in the laundry closet - due to the location of the dryer vent, the dryer needed to be pushed out a little upon connecting/installing it. This meant we needed to forgo the closet door - which most people would be upset about, however, because of the cool/modern look to it, we don't mind it at all. In fact, it's a nice compliment to our new flooring! It works great and love all the options although I will be honest in say that we haven't tried them all yet. Definitely a big win for us and our new home!

This dryer works great and it’s pretty quiet. I only wish the light came on as soon as you open the door without having to turn it on. Also would be great to have the option of more than one chime when it’s finished. Oh and the remote feature should work for IOS and not just Android. That leaves a lot of people without that feature that may not have know you couldn’t use IOS when they bought it. I’m sure this is because LG makes only Android phones but come on. Overall it’s a great dryer for drying clothes.

Bought this one about a 1.5 months ago and have been pleased so far. There were no reviews on this model before we purchased it. Being a "Sensor" dryer sometimes the machine assumes the load is dry yet it remains damp. We had the same with our old Whirlpool yet when you place it on the "More Dry" setting verses the default "Normal" it dries perfectly with those large loads adding only a minor amount of drying time and energy used. The "Steam Fresh" cycle is absolutely wonderful for getting wrinkles out of clothes that have been folded or hung for long periods of time. The "Steam Sanitary" cycle is wonderful for making clothes Allergen Free as we have needed in the past for medical reasons. It is extremely SILENT! The one drawback for me is that the machine "Defaults" every time you use it to the "Cotton/Normal" cycle and since we use another all the time, this is not optimal - however it does have a program button that can be pushed using your own desired drying time so I got around it this way. The color is beautiful and looks good even if in a large open room or in a kitchen as we have ours. Classy look. This machine does have a sensing light that lights up when you have forgotten to empty the lint tray from the previous load and that does work well. The 3 manual cycles are great for your own desired times of drying.

We moved recently and the space for the dryer was not ready for a gas dryer. We had a LG gas dryer in our previous home, so I spent the money and had the gas line end fixed up to accept the new dryer. Glad we did. It is working great. I am pleased with the size of the drum. We have it on a pedestal so we don't have to bend over. It has nice options for drying. Most times I use the Wrinkle Care option if I am not going to be right there when the clothes are done drying. I am happy with this dryer and glad we got it.

Not at all satisfied with this dryer. The performance is poor in that it doesn't do a good job of removing wrinkles, even on wrinkle-free fabrics, unless high heat is used - which caused my clothes to shrink. The steam function spits out water and the water remains in the tub after the drying cycle is complete, making the function unusable. And after several days of non-use, there is condensation inside the dryer tub which LG is blaming on my unit being in an air-conditioned room while hot air is coming in through the exhaust vent which is ridiculous since all dryers in living areas would be in air-conditioned spaces (and ignoring the fact that this did not happen with my previous non-LG dryer). I bought the dryer only 2 months ago as a match to the washer but would recommend going with a different model to prospective buyers due to the poor performance. Also, LG will charge for the service call if they come and find no techical issues with the unit so not impressed with the customer service either.

We are loving these LG units! I am particularly impressed with the size. Compact on the outside and super spacious on the inside. And the noise level.... SO QUIET!! I will disclose, these units are on the 3rd floor of our house - I know, don't ask, shaking my head. So for me, the fact that these machines are amazingly quiet is a HUGE BONUS! We love how gentle the cycles are on our clothes & yet tough on stains when washing our cleaning towels, I use the sanitary options & they come out very clean and bright. We do use the extra features, like turbo wash & the quick steam to freshen items when needed. We do run around town a lot for work & being able to freshen up a garment quickly is great! We are beyond happy with the efficiency of both washer and dryer. The dryer is quick to dry a load. no more waiting over 30mins for a load to dry. I use a medium setting for 20mins & clothes are just how i like them: not too dry and not damp at all. Saves our clothes :)

Bought Samsung Flex dryer at the beginning. However, it is too thick and needs at least 38 inches depth clearance in the closet. Change to this one which takes less than 32 inches and fits perfectly. Pros: It works great and quite. I really like the stylish looking of the square led design. Cons: The app only supports Andrew. I can't connect and control the machine using the iPhone except for diagnosis function.

My new LG - 7.4 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Gas Dryer with Steam ROCKS! I love all the different settings so I can dry my cloths just right. Use the steam feature to clean my comforters & pillows every time I change my linens. A huge improvement from my old Kenmore dryer !. Dryer is very quite. Clothes dry much quicker - SO HAPPY? ! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

A fifteen year old washer recently died so instead of repairing it and risk it dying again in a few years, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a new one. The older washer and dryer were white, so I didn't want a mismatched set in the garage so I opted to purchase the matching dryer. Being somewhat of a technology addict, I didn't want a simple washer/dryer set. After countless hours of research, I decided to get this dryer and the matching washer. All I can say is this is a fantastic dryer. It's whisper quiet and dries each load quickly and easily. The old dryer sometimes took a couple of cycles to dry a large load, but this one is super efficient. I haven't tried the steam function yet but I'm guessing it'll work like a charm. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

We’ve trusted LG for the past 12 years. After VERY frequent usage, the old one gave out. So we got this LG to replace it and ... WOW! It’s even better than the old one. It dries faster, has a slightly bigger drum, and runs quieter thanks to improved sound insulation. Great job, LG! This is highly recommended!!!

I love this new dryer! It's loaded with a lot of great features, quiet when it's running and love the black stainless steel color! I had my last LG washer and dryer for the last 10 years, they were still working but it was time for a change.

Purchased both black stainless steel washer and dryer set and love it. It's not as quiet as I would like, but the features and capacity of the machines are great. I also like the sleek black stainless steel look. Would recommend!

This dryer has been great. It looks clean in black stainless and dries big loads evenly without extra cycles. The steam feature is actually useful for quick wrinkle fixes, and the smart app is a nice bonus but not essential. Overall, solid, reliable, and easy to live with.

I have read many reviews for many front loading washers and dryers before making my purchase on the LG machines. We have only had our machines for a few weeks now, but I am so glad I made this purchase. It is not only quiet, but it dries super-fast. Bulky items like towels or comforters would take HOURS to dry in our old dryer (and we bought that thing bring new not even 4 years ago, another Korean brand). This dryer has a sensor dry and tumbles it until the items are very dry.

We love our new dryer. Runs quiet, dries quickly, and is easy to operate. We really like the steam feature and use it for shirts and blouses. Installation was done by Best Buy on the Friday before Christmas at 7:00 PM to met the commitment that the GM made to us to complete before Christmas.
