To be honest I upgraded from a 65" LG OLED65G6P Signature Series 3D TV and although the size is definitely a huge difference the picture quality is not that much better. I guess if maybe I were coming from a older LED I might of been WOWED better. I guess thats a good thing. I'm overall very happy.

I don' always write reviews, and I really wanted to like this tv, especially having several Sony XBRs including a 77" Bravia XR A80J and spending months on youtube reviews. I love Sony, please bring it back. My story is below: Got the 83" OLED. It is massive in my bedroom. The Sony has enough space underneath to put a decent sized sound bar. LG does not have that space even at 77'. The panel is slightly tilted towards back, which seems like some drunk engineering mishap. Sony was super sturdy. I cannot get behind this one without moving furniture to wipe out. Epic fails. Most importantly, hdmi 1 port is no longer working. I regret to inform you that I am calling LG for a warranty claim. Paying almost $6k, this is not acceptable. I am sure you already saw other reviews about their OS. It is utterly useless. Holly ads. You can see the attached pictures. Sony's chip was by far superior. Better research or pay someone to calibrate this tv. Out of the box, Sony had a wow factor that was unmatched by this one. I was watching 8k videos on the Sony all day long. Pros. I love the remote control. That mouse effect upon shaking it is a must have for every TV. Then, I hate the button layout. I still press on wrong buttons, because the 4 layout is not intuitive. Kudos to Sony on this one. TV is great, if you would like to watch several minutes of ads for a 1:30 min youtube video. I mean ads, holly ads. I watch a lot of game highlights, as I don't have the patience to sit there. They never quit. It is an ad after another ad. One after another. Tried all sorts of things like resetting ad ID among others. A few months ago, I used to back out, click on it again to skip, and it used to work. Now that ai figured out what I do, I have to turn on my pc with ad blocker to watch youtube videos. If you have an xbox series whatever or ps 55444, it is unreal gaming. I mean it is almost instant advantage over everybody else. There is no lag, I see stuff acrtoss the maps that I never saw in other TVs. Halo looks amazing. Then, my desktop PC has similar quality monitors. If you must buy this brand, you have to like ads. Did I mention ads? I mean ads. <insert techno moody music here /> More ads LG. Is this all you got? No, I do not recommend this tv even if it was $950.

Please, by all means, unless $6k is something you can drop and not feel, go and see this before you order based off a review. That being said, the thing is absolutely gorgeous. LGs OLED displays are absolutely stunning. I'm upgrading from a 65" LG OLED. I was so impressed that model I just had to get the 'big' one when it was available, and my buddy got a sightly used 65" for a bargain. First off the delivery was great the BB guys dropped it off in my living room exactly where I wanted it. Courteous, prompt and professional. The box this behemoth comes in is nearly 7 feet long and about 4 feet tall. Unboxing was easy, the cardboard sides come off easily via a little clip system, leaving a sturdy styrofoam enclosure the is perfectly sturdy when upright. It's surrounded on all sides by great styrofoam packaging so it's easy to lay on its face to attach the stand or VESA mounts, as the bag that encases it clearly instructs you to do. I opted to wall mount mine, this is a 400x400 mount, although is does have a little panel that you can remove and user LGs 180x55 flush mount, though I couldn't find the model referenced in the manual on LGs web site. I assume it will be available soon. It's pretty heavy so you'll need a friend to assist, 70ish pounds without the base for a wall mount. Do make sure you route the power cord through the provided channel on the back of the unit before you attach your VESA mounts. One little annoyance between this model and the previous i found - all of the HDMI inputs are in a little cavity on the back of the tv. Previous model had them on the side which was a bit easier to get to after it was mounted. If you have big hands make sure you connect your inputs before it goes on the wall, it will save you a bit of frustration or prevent you from having to call the wife/gf or small handed friend in. After everything was hooked up and plugged in, the initial setup was an easy walk through, as on previous models. Something you probably know, but I will warn you about here - LG, like every other manufacturer, basically tries to get you to submit to all sorts of data gathering, If that concerns you make sure you are careful about clicking the accept all buttons. The TV still works great , even if you don't let it spy on you....and you have the option not to. This is an upgraded version of LGs webOS UI and a new processor, it's fast and responsive, and i think it looks a little cleaner than last version. The magic remote with the pointing interface is still here,(with voice support) or you can use the traditional arrow pad if you prefer. I can't comment on the built in sound, as I have it hooked up to a surround sound receiver. In my experience with the previous model the sound wasn't bad for built in speakers, but i suspect a lot of folks that spend this type of money on a display will have a sound system in place. Now to the picture - I don't know how to say this without sounding like I'm gushing, but this is hands down the best quality picture I have ever seen on any display. I did a lot of research and shopping around, visiting stores comparing side by side. When you get this thing in a dark room, with a 4k blu-ray with Dolby Vision (which it does support), it's really just mesmerizing. I'm a bit of a movie addict so the display is the most important part of the system for me, this TV is absolutely fantastic. Couldn't be happier. TLDR - If you can afford it and a absolutely gorgeous picture on a huge screen is at the top of your list. Get this TV. There is nothing else like it. Some quick Pros and Cons - Pros - Absolutely gorgeous, stunning picture. Did I say that enough already? Dolby Vision/HDR supprort New/Cleaner WebOS 4 HDMI 2.1 120hz inputs GSYNC/FreeSync/low latency/VRR all the awesome stuff for gaming. Cons - HDMIs are difficult to reach when mounted. It's pricey. It's really pricey.

Great picture one of the best on the market. Features are easy to use and adjust. I use a surround sound setup but I was surprised at the speakers on the TV. They pack a decent punch for a TV. I would highly recommend this TV for anyone who loves a great picture, 2.1 for gaming with high refresh rate this TV can do all you ask of it and more.

It is genuinely the most incredible tv I've had/seen. I'm going to buy a second one for the bonus room. It takes full advantage of the Xbox Series X and PS5 next gen capabilities, and it's VERY obvious how well implemented they are. (All 4 hdmi ports are 2.1 compliant. That is unheard of in the television market currently). The picture quality is second to none by a wide margin. It's so good that after my friend left my house having seen it for the first time, he went to buy one himself the very next day. I have no complaints whatsoever and neither does he. I've heard people complain about the brightness before, but it gets stupid bright, like I've never once thought anything similar to "this is too dark", but I have thought "holy hell, that's so bright" before. I was nervous that I lost the panel lottery or something when I first got it after I did some gray uniformity testing, but then I ran pixel cleaning for about an hour. PERFECT uniformity after that. Been gaming very regularly with games that have huds, and putting on this 10 hour youtube video with night time skyrim music during the day when I'm working, and that has a lot of scenes with still image aspects that stay on screen for a good long while. I DON'T RECOMMEND DOING THAT... But I do have to say that there are absolutely no signs of image retention/screen burn in yet... I think if you're worried about screen burn in with this tv, then don't. I've been really putting that to the test for awhile now, and the uniformity is still perfect. Never had to run pixel cleaning manually since the first time. People might complain about sound, but if you can afford this tv, you can probably afford a good sound system. Don't misunderstand me, I think the sound quality of the tv is great, like I have no complaints. I'm sure audiophiles will for some reason or another. But if sound is a big pain point, just keep in mind that it's something that can be improved with a soundbar or something. You can buy better sound for a tv. You can't buy better picture quality without buying a new tv. You can't buy all its gaming features without buying a new tv. Even if this tv came with no sound whatsoever, I'd still say to buy it for the picture and gaming features. I'd just also have a recommendation on what soundbar you should get.

Fantastic picture! Anyone serious about great looking video needs an OLED set, This is a great example. 4k sources are unbeatable, but the true blacks of OLED make regular HD programs look great, too, Programs you’ve seen before look so much better it’s like you’re seeing them again for the first time. The remote takes a little getting used to, but it will be extremely useful with a little practice. Now’s the time to make the jump to OLED. You know you want it. Do it!

This TV it’s Amazing .. The LG C1 offers superb image quality, is brighter than previous OLED TVs, supports the leading HDR and HDMI 2.1 standards, and has an extremely thin and attractive design. Its WebOS smart-TV platform is easy to use and supports all of the major video and audio streaming services. Videophiles will like that the C1 gives them more control over the image than competing OLED TVs, while the Filmmaker Mode makes it easy for anyone to get an accurate image. So we love our LG-83” Smart TV

83 inch was delivered a few days ago. Replaced a 65 inch Sony LED. 1st off this is MASSIVE!! Make sure you have enough room for it. Going from a 65 to an 83 inch doesn't sound like that much, but it is. It is HUGE. Out of the box is was very nice. After some fine tuning and calibration this thing is STUNNING!!! Cannot describe how nice the picture is. The built in sound is surprisingly good. My only small complaint would be the remote, no backlighting!!. It really needs it.

Amazing picture quality with deep blacks. Best TV I’ve ever owned. The user interface and the are remote much better and intuitive than my other TV (Samsung). Sometimes I need to adjust light in the room to reduce glare. This TV is more prone to glare than the old Sony LED TV it replaced but the picture is amazing. Still haven’t hooked up the PS5 and will review once I do.
