Customers often highlight the exceptional battery life of the gram 2-in-1 16” WQXGA Laptop, with many expressing great satisfaction. The lightweight design, frequently described as "ridiculously light," is another widely praised feature. Customers also appreciate the laptop's fast performance and the convenience of the fingerprint reader. However, some users have reported issues with the screen flashing and going out, and others have found the audio output lacking for music fidelity.

My "P" sticks on my keyboard, must press harder.
My Dell XPS was a great unit, but its sissy battery life and no "extended" life battery options made me switch after a few years.
After reading the Consumer Reports review on this model and its Nuclear Battery life, I waited for a sale and jumped on this model.
I am getting my wife a Non 2-in-1 LG Gram because her Dell Inspiron 2 in 1 screen hinges have seized up after 5 years of "gentle" use. Sorry Dell you failed us... twice.
LG to the rescue. Life is Good!

Sleek, Soundless, and Sound

The LG - gram, 2-in-1 16” WQXGA Laptop with Intel Evo Platform Core i7 with 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe Solid State Drive in black is sleek, sexy, soundless, and sound. What do I mean by that. Well, right from the start your eyes encounter a very well-packaged unit that would not only be great for you, but would also make a great gift for any lucky person on your list.
LG tried to make this higher end laptop computer appeal to the senses- it comes in a stylish, sleek, black classy box with a cardboard thickness that can keep the contents inside safe. The outside finish is a matte black and even though this is a 16" size screen, the depth at it largest is still less that 1 inch. Why do I keep talking about this- it is because for the size this is a very lightweight, easily portable unit that can literally be carried around with one arm or put in a large purse or small tote.
Second point, the solid state drive in this unit is quiet as a mouse and I really mean that. In other solid state units of the past on laptops that I have used, the motor would rev itself up every so often, including when it would boot itself up. This LG Gram is so quiet and I do not feel any heat coming out of it either. I will say that on the underside there is a warning stamped on that says to keep it on a flat and firm surface so that the unit can vent its heat through the perforated holes on a constant basis to prevent heat build up that would cause unit damage.
Third, I am a CPA by trade and therefore, I am very proficient on a 10-key adding machine. LG Gram designers had the presence of mind to use some of the real estate adjacent to the normal keyboard where many other laptop designs do not- I am so thrilled that they thought to include the separate 10-key.
Fourth, I found the initial set up and WiFi connect seamless and since I am not an IT person, just self taught and in a rural area where there is not a lot of help, I am always anxious when setting up a new electrical something that requires set up, period. Fifth, this is truly a 2 in 1 that almost immediately rotates the screen, all 360 degrees, as a matter of fact, Sixth, LG is including the stylus pen, that oh by the way is also a mouse with a left and right button on the pen. They even include a single AAAA battery, replacement pen tip, a Tweezer to assist with changing the tip, and a very detailed instruction manual, in numerous languages with helpful graphic pictures and verbiage that any newbie can understand. I found the stylus helpful and had lots of fun with it. So often these days you have to go on the manufacturer's website to download all the instructions and that costs the user lots more time. In fact, that reminds me that LG Control center, Finger Print Guide in PDF, and Virtuo by LG Guide in PDF come loaded, as well as, Microsoft Edge. These have been my impressions, but I also went to Best Buy's website where this laptop is listed and LG rates itself based on the unit's 16 GB of Ram and 1 TB of solid state storage and what the best uses for this machine.

Have had this for several months now and am pleased with it. I did not opt to upgrade to Windows 11, and the current models have a newer processor. But this laptop is very fast, lightweight and performs well for remote work. Battery lasts all day, and the headphone jack is a plus in a world where they're disappearing. 2 in 1 function is great, especially for traveling. I also love the numeric keypad/I am old school. It just squeezes into my handbag with built in laptop sleeve meant for 15" machines it is thin and very very lightweight.
Drawbacks: No storage for the stylus, so it's easy to misplace. Limited ports/only 2 usb C and one A. A hub with HDMI and ethernet to hard wire connections (for security in the absence of a VPN) is a requirement for me.
Overall, this is a winner and I like it souch, Im getting the 14" version for my niece for college.

Very pleased with the laptop overall, with two side notes: 1) the built-in webcam could have a better display, 2) the sound/speakers are not the best, 3) running games makes the CPU run loud. However, it is working well for work and play. The screen itself is pretty amazing and the overall speed and ability of the laptop are fantastic.

I absolutely love this laptop! Aesthetically it's sharp, clean - it's barely thicker than my cellphone. It hasn't been subject to too much trauma and while it doesn't feel flimsy or cheaply made by any means, I do think an accidental fall would obliterate it. The touchscreen has just the right level of sensitivity and is immediately responsive to both touch and the included stylus (it seems sturdy and has two buttons to mirror left & right buttons on a mouse). The sound is great, and it has fantastic battery life (I've used it for 10 hours straight without needing a charge). I'm the type that uses coupons and shops sales and thrift, and there's not been one moment that I've regretted how much I paid for my gram - it's definitely worth it.

I was fortunate to have purchased this laptop before it was sold out. After reading reviews in Consumer Reports and online I decided on the LG-gram 2-in-1 16" instead of the LG gram 17 in. I am very happy with my choice. I am just starting to use it so I will be back with further updates for the review.

I was always looking for a large screen laptop/tablet, the problem was the weight of these was usually 5 pounds or more, really weighing down my backpack on long trips.
Then along came the Gram. All the features I was looking for; large 16” touchscreen, and the total weight was just a little over 3 pounds.
It’s hard to describe the brightness and clarity of the screen. I’m not a guy who understands all the specifications. I just use my eyes to judge differences, and WOW, this screen destroys anything else I’ve seen. I watch lots of movies on my devices and movies just seemed to ‘come alive’ on the Gram. I suggest you look and judge for yourself. Also, the screen seems to be just a little taller than other 16” screens. On bootup I immediately noticed I see more of the top and bottom of my computer desktop wallpaper than I’ve seen on any other computer, desktop or portable.
The backlit keyboard has two different brightness settings, I set it on “low” which offered plenty of readability in total darkness and it didn’t seem to affect the Gram’s amazing battery life.
The device has two USB-C ports, you use either one to charge the device, plus a standard USB-A port. You also get a free USB-A to USB-C adapter to connect one of your older thumb drives.
I had never used a fingerprint reader before, the one here is very easy to use. When you push the power button it reads your fingerprint and instantly displays your desktop. No more going through the Windows password hassle, yet still keeping your laptop secure.
This device comes with a one gig SSD drive. If the computer you’re using now still contains a mechanical drive, you’ll be thrilled and delighted with the speed when the Gram boots up. The problem with the SSD drives on other machines is the drive is usually just 256 Mb., because solid state drives are more expensive. I’m happy to say the Gram’s drive is a full one Gig, bigger than most other SSDs, so it’ll be able to hold more of your files than most other computers of its type.
The wi-fi speed is incredible. I have a one gig Mbps. modem in my office when connected by Ethernet to a computer. Via wi-fi, my other computers would max out at about 400 Mbps. The Gram went past 600 Mbps. with ease.
The lightweight 2-in-1 features a big 80 Wh. battery. It easily gave me 12 hours of life with the brightness turned up pretty high. Very impressive.
When in tablet mode, the included stylus pen is fun and easy to use.
Of course no device is perfect, here’s what I wasn’t happy with.
As I said, I watch a lot of movies and in order to raise or lower the sound, you need to push TWO buttons simultaneously, the “Fn” and the volume raise or lower key. It sure would be nice if there were dedicated keys for volume.
Speaking of ‘keys,’ the Gram has ‘click’ keys which feel good as you type, but tend to be noisier than similar devices. This could be a problem if you're typing next to a sleeping partner. The unit does feature a separate numerical keypad, which is not normally found in laptops like this.
I find the speakers could use a little more power, although this laptop includes a headphone port, which is rare these days, and of course you could set it up with Bluetooth headphones or speakers as well.
These complaints are minor compared to the quality and great features of the Gram. You’ll never find a machine where you’re totally happy with everything, and the good to bad ratio here is overwhelmingly GOOD.
In total, the light weight, speed, long life battery and super clarity makes the LG Gram a winner.

Very disappointed. Worked great for 17 months, then the screen started flashing and going out. Neither the Geek Squad or LG would do anything to fix.
