Customers are enthusiastic about the PH30JG 720p Wireless DLP Projector's portability, battery life, and picture quality, frequently praising its compact size and ease of use. Many appreciate the bright image in darkened rooms, although some found the brightness insufficient in well-lit environments. A few users noted the fan noise, but overall, the positive feedback on portability and image quality outweighs the negative comments.

Little projector giving you a big picture

This is a small projector but it is powerful enough to play with the big projectors. You get 720p of clear, dynamic and big picture. 1080p instead of 720p would of been amazing especially at this price. Think about 100 inches of great picture for under $500 for today’s TVs and you will not find one. With the PH30JG projector you get all of that and more. I have this on my wall as I wait to receive my projector screen but you can take a look at my pictures to see how amazing the quality look. With the16:9 feature be ready to have a true theater experience. Fan noise I think could be quieter but I guess it’s good to know that it’s cooling efficiently. You also get a few different ports such as HDMI, usb type a&c, audio out. You may also connect Bluetooth sound speakers to enhance your theater experience. Using your smartphone you can also cast content such as movies and games to the PH30JG. This projector is also LED which estimated to give you 30,000 hours of movie time before replacing the lamp and that is about 10 years if you use it 8 hours a day. In a dark room this will produce a magnificent picture but if your room is not dark enough you will have a washed looking picture. You get 4 hours on a fully charge battery but you can also plug it in while you while you use it. This is a sleek projector with a weight of about 1 lbs making it portable allowing you to take it anywhere. My only reason for not giving this a 5 star rating is because I think it should of been at least a 1080p. All said and done this will be great for most needs because it has so much great features and it is easy to use.

    Decent for portability, not quality

The best feature of this LG Minibeam projector is its portability, however you sacrifice most other features including picture quality and brightness. The initial set up was fairly simple and the menus are easy to understand. You have a couple options for inputs including a full size HDMI input and USB-C for newer phones and tablets. The resolution and brightness are not very good when enlarging the screen at a distance but they work as long as you’re not trying to impress anyone. It requires a fairly dark room to see clearly at full brightness, which I wouldn’t suggest on any display because it washes the picture out. I’m currently using the projector in my bedroom to project movies/shows/games on the ceiling since I don’t have a TV in there and, when not in use, I just tuck it away until I want to use it again. I found that using a streaming device/stick was a good option to cast what you want to display. It would have been a great option if this was built into the projector instead of using a third party peripheral in the only HDMI input. The battery lasts fairy long, probably good for at least a movie or two without having to charge, and also can be used to charge small devices. The projector has a small sound on-board speaker and I suggest pairing a Bluetooth speaker for better sound. One of the most frustrating features was the remote; I had to be very close to the device and pointed directly at it for it to register. At this price, I believe there are too many other options to research before deciding on this one in the saturated projector market . There was really nothing besides the portability that set this projector aside from the competition.

A Small Projector but Big on Features

I have used over a dozen conventional projectors for work and for personal use and know what to expect when lugging around projectors and having to make wired connections and having to move cords out of the way so people don't trip over them. I have never used a pico projector before, so naturally I was eager to try out the LG Mini Beam. The first thing I noticed even before I opened the box for the LG Mini Beam projector was how small the packaging is compared to the box for the regular projector. Upon opening the box and taking out the projector, I was truly stunned at how small the projector really is. It is smaller than my hand, and my hand is not even that large. Furthermore, this thing is light, weighing in at a tad over one pound. With such a diminutive size and weight, the projector definitely checks the boxes for compactness and portability. The projector can be tucked into a large coat pocket and nobody would know. I was also pleasantly surprised by the number of connections that LG was able to fit into this tiny projector. There are connections for hdmi, usb-a, usb-c (yes, you read that correctly), and a 3.5mm audio out jack. Kudos to LG for including the audio jack because we all know how dismal the audio output from projector speakers in general are. As an aside, Epson doesn't even include a 3.5 mm audio jack in it's conventional projectors until you get to their premium home cinema projector models. What's also neat about the projector is that you have two choices for recharging the lithium ion battery in the projector. You can either re-charge via the supplied bulky ac adapter with powerbrick, or you can elegantly connect a usb-c cord to a wall charger. Since I like to carry as little with me as possible, I opted to use a usb-c cord and 2.4 amp charger. It'll take up to 3 hrs to charge a fully discharged battery. Once fully charged and powered on, you simply follow the on screen menus to connect your display either wirelessly, via hdmi, or usb-c. I was able to immediately display content and start using the projector in a minute or two once I familiarized myself with the on screen menus and the remote control. I successfully connected my windows 10 laptop wirelessly through Screen Share and had the projected image of my desktop on my living room wall. I was similarly able to connect wireless displays for my android phones and tablets. I did notice that there is a noticeable lag on the projected image when connected via the screen share wireless display function. When I moved the cursor on my mouse, it took a second for the cursor on the projected image to also move. For a more robust connection, I like going the traditional route of using an hdmi cord and this essentially eliminates any lag which is great for video content. Speaking of content, I was able to connect my Google Chromecast through the hdmi connection on the projector and turn the projector/chromecast combination into a powerhouse mobile streaming unit. I simply powered the Google Chromecast with a large capacity portable charger (e.g. portable Anker power bank). Add a good quality bluetooth speaker and connect wirelessly through the Mini Beam's bluetooth menu, and you have a totally wireless setup. Outdoor movie nights just became much easier and totally cord free! LG claims up to 4 hrs in battery life when using the most battery conserving eco-options which will lower the brightness of the image. I went ahead and set the projector on best quality and brightest viewing settings (e.g. non-eco friendly options) and was still able to get through a 2.5 hour movie on a single battery charge with battery remaining. The projector is able to project an HD 1280x720 image with a screen size up to 100” or a little over 8', which is pretty amazing for such a pocket size projector. Image and video quality is as good as 720p can deliver. Colors are vibrant and crisp. Contrast is good. Audio through the internal 1 watt speaker, while better than your average smart phone, still leaves much to be desired and will benefit from connecting to a better audio system through the 3.5 mm audio out jack or through bluetooth. The fan on the projector is remarkably quiet. You won't notice that it is even on when you have audio playing. The projector doesn't get hot when in use; perhaps just a little warm. With conventional projectors, it takes a lot of energy (resulting in heat) to make a bright image. This means that if you are using a conventional projector in a small enclosed room like a small bedroom, you will notice the room warm up. However, with a pico projector such as this LG Mini Beam you won't have the heat issue because it has so little power output compared to a conventional projector. The Mini Beam is great for using indoors in the summer because you won't have the added heat for your air conditioner to deal with. Besides great features as bluetooth, usb-c, rechargeable battery, a tripod mount, and portability, the LG Mini Beam also comes packed with an automated vertical keystone image correction. Keystone correction will adjust the top and bottom width of the image if the projector is not set up at a right angle to the screen. This prevents the screen from becoming trapezoidal in shape. You will want automated keystone correction since this makes setting up your projector faster so you can begin enjoying movie night. One other feature worth mentioning is that the projector has 'PJT mode' which flips the image upside down or horizontally. This allows for ceiling mounting for the projector or projecting from the rear onto a transparent screen. As much as I have been effusively showering the Mini Beam with praise, it is worth noting its one major and significant shortcoming: it can only produce up to 250 lumens of light output. For comparison, conventional home projectors have 2,000 plus lumens, with business projectors having over 3,500 lumens of output. Having more lumens helps to overcome the ambient lighting so that the projected image does not get washed out. With the LG Mini Beam, it is evident that its use is limited to rooms having little to no ambient lighting with blinds and curtains closed. The instant that ambient light is introduced, the image is washed out. I would not recommend the Mini Beam for any type of business use. The office environment has too much ambient lighting. Additionally, an 8' large screen may be insuffficient for large audiences. On the otherhand, this would make an excellent projector for home use where you can control the ambient lighting. It's portability for home use means you can set it up on a table top, counter top, tripod, or even on the bed in your bedroom to watch from the ceiling. For outdoor movie nights, you'll have to wait until it is dark. In summary, the LG Mini Beam is a fun, easy to use, very intuitive, and high quality portable projector that allows you to cut the power cord. With 720p HD quality, you'll get good to very good image quality which is vibrant and crisp. It comes packed with a lot of features and connections in a tiny package. However, there is a trade-off you'll have to be willing to make for ultra portability, compactness, and battery power. With a small 250 maximum lumen output, you'll need to use the projector in a dark room or at night. Finally, there is the question of price and value that you'll be getting from the Mini Beam. For the listed price of the LG Mini Beam, in today's market you can get a conventional projector with better contrast, better brighness, richer colors, and the same 720p image resolution, but with much more lumens to be able to use in a greater variety of ambient lighting environments. Of course it wouldn't be as portable, lightweight, and cord-free as the LG Mini Beam. These are factors you will have to prioritize as you make your decision on your next projector. Would I recommend the Mini Beam? For home use, yes. For business, no.

Great image and features for its size!

Pros: * Great image quality (brightness, resolution, colors, etc.). * Very portable (projector itself). * Good battery life (4 hours - about 2 movies). * Great connectivity options (HDMI, USB, Wireless, Bluetooth for speakers). * Nice features (built-in media player, auto-keystone, etc.) Cons: * Wireless video doesn’t work with Apple devices. * Large packing space required (for projector, AC adapter and cords and remote control). * Weak built-in speaker. For its size, this is a great portable projector! The image quality is really sharp with nice colors, high native resolution and good brightness. I projected from my iPhone X using a Lightening-to-HDMI adapter and the image was really nice. Like most projectors, this one works best in a slightly darkened room, but the image seems brighter than average for its size. I also put a few videos and photos on a standard USB drive and the projector had no problems playing them with its built-in media player. There is a standard 5-way navigation control button array on the top of the projector which enables access to all functions; albeit with a little menu digging. The included remote control provides a bit more convenience as it has direct-access buttons for all major function and a few of the more esoteric ones like “PJT Mode” which allows the projected image to be set upside down or reversed for projecting onto the back of a screen instead of onto a wall. There are also buttons on the remote for direct input mode selection. Note that this isn’t necessarily designed as a business projector, so there is no laser pointer on the remote or specific slide-show mode. The built-in speaker is good enough to get the gist of what’s happening on-screen, but you’d be much better off connecting to either wired (headphone jack) or Bluetooth headphones/speakers. My only complaint is that even though the projector itself is rather small and portable if that’s all you need to carry (see image comparison with an iPhone X), carrying the remote and AC adapter with cables more than doubles the pack size (see image). If you only need 4 hours of use and can make-do with the onboard navigation buttons, then you’ll be fine with just the projector. If you need to charge it or need direct access to functions via the remote, you’ll also have to carry the other stuff which makes it a lot less “portable.”

    Awesome Little Projector

This is a really cool little projector. You get a pretty nice picture in a form factor that almost fits in your pocket (almost). USB-C and wireless display capabilities are a big plus as well. It’s perfect for putting on presentations or having a backyard movie night. In the box you get the projector, remote, and a very large power adapter. The projector itself is quite compact - about 6” long x 3” wide x 1.5” tall. It’s not the kind of thing that’s going in your pocket, but it’ll fit into a backpack or messenger back quite easily. The remote is pretty basic and has a few media controls, but is mostly for adjusting the projector settings. It does seem a bit large for such a small projector, but all of the functions can be duplicated from the controls on the projector. I was especially baffled at how large the power adapter was; it’s the sort of thing you’d see with a big laptop and seems a bit at odds with this tiny little projector. I did find out that the projector can be charged over USB-C, which is awesome. I tested my Pixel 2 charger and my Dell laptop charger and both charged the battery. It’s one less power adapter to carry around at least if you’re already on the USB-C train. For inputs there is an HDMI port on the left side with a USB port next to it, which can be used to run a flash drive with media or power something like a Chromecast or Roku. On the right side there is a USB-C port, which can be used to as a display or charging input (or both in the right circumstances). Next the to USB-C port is a 3.5mm audio output jack, but the projector also has built-in Bluetooth, which is really handy. Getting the projector setup was pretty straight forward. There is a sturdy stand to adjust the angle and a focus dial near the lens. Once I had it powered on and up on a wall I found that the picture squares itself up automatically at all but the most extreme angles, which was handy. There isn’t a whole lot to setup on the projector itself since there aren’t any smarts built-in besides adjusting some image settings and maybe pairing an external speaker. The brightness of the image is listed at 250 lumens. In normal speak I found it put out a pretty decent picture as long as the shades were drawn and the lights were off. Really the darker the better, which is why I like the scenario of a backyard movie night the best. The resolution is 720p and it looks pretty good. The lower resolution is noticeable in onscreen text, but video looks good. The colors are good and the blacks are decent as well as long as your environment is pretty dark. I watched with a Chromecast connected, as well as the wireless display through my laptop and both looked good. There was some noticeable input lag on the wireless display, but having nothing to compare against I can’t say if that is an issue with this projector or if wireless display has that latency in general. My laptop has USB-C ports and I never was able to get an image to display on the projector going wired, but I’m also not entirely convinced that is the projector’s fault; I’m thinking it may be a cable issue or power setting. USB-C for all it’s benefits still has its quirks, but I’m glad LG went all in on it with this projector. There is a built-in mono speaker on the projector, but it’s not great. It’ll get you by if you’re running a presentation and you’ve just got a few videos to show, but if you’re watching a movie an external speaker is pretty much a must. I was able to pair one of my Bluetooth speakers with the projector very easily and I didn’t any syncing issues with the audio. The battery is rated to last 4 hours. I saw the battery drain to almost completely after just about an hour using the 'Minimum’ energy saving setting. It’s disappointing, but it's likely you could get much closer to 4 hours with the energy saving setting turned up. It mainly dims the light output and turning the setting to 'Maximum’ didn't affect the picture badly enough in my dark room for me to really notice. Something to be aware of if you're planning on watching a long movie away from an outlet. If you’re looking for a portable projector with a good image quality I think this is a good option for the price. The battery life was a little disappointing, but if you manage it over long stretches it’s workable. It’s the kind of thing that travels well in a laptop bag and make it pretty easy to put up a big picture just about anywhere.

This projector far exceeded all of my expectations! I've always thought a portable projector would be an amazing feat and fun to use, but honestly always thought they were more of a gimmick than anything. I can say with absolutely certainly that's not the case with this projector, it shocked and amazed me at every turn! It's small, compact, and lightweight, has a rechargeable battery, surprisingly bright even with ambient light in the room, easy to use, has lots of flexibility, and projects a great image! I projected on brown and black surfaces and was surprised at how well the picture looked, and even projected a video on my home theater screen and was shocked even more, the picture on this thing compared to it's size and small frame will absolutely blow you away. Great things can definitely come in small packages. You will not be disappointed in this projector, if you're considering one, get this now!

Big Picture in a Small Package

The LG - PH30JG 720p DLP wireless projector provides a surprising picture quality for such a small projector. Upon opening the box, the LG is packed snugly with its accompanying power cord, paper documentation, and remote control. The projector itself has the footprint of an iPhone 6S Plus and is about 3" thick. It's quite compact and could easily go inside a laptop bag or be carried in your hand. It could even fit in a loose pocket. Setup is as easy as plugging the projector in, pressing the power button, plugging in an input, and enjoying the view. There are relatively few settings you can adjust compared to most settings, but the important ones are all there and easily accessible. Once you're viewing, it's quite impressive given the small size. Colors are good. I do find the brightness lacking. That being said, it is still easily seen in a room with lights on. I don't think it would do well in a brightly lit room, but it works just find with average lighting. I find the limited use of screen mirroring and sharing of HD videos to those compatible with miracast and WiDi to be extremely limiting. There's got to be a better way! The four hour batter can come in extremely handy if you're out on a camping trip or somewhere where there isn't a convenient power outlet. In conclusion, I think the LG - PH30JG is an excellent option for those who need a reliable and very portable projector. The color and clarity is all very good but I'd recommend using in a darker environment for best results. Certainly not necessary though. Pros: -Size -Price -Picture quality -Battery Life Cons: -Brightness -Lack of screen mirroring compatibility

On the fence for this device. It's fun. It's somewhat convenient. Battery power is nice and as advertised when in max power savings mode. Compact/small. Charges over usb-c or a proprietary barrel plug with included power brick. One problem is that when you use the usb-c input from an iPad Pro or Chromebook or some Android phones, the projector ends up charging that device as well, killing the battery quickly. Because of the single usb-c port, you can't provide power to the projector at the same time. Sure you can carry the bulky power brick and cord that's bigger than the projector since it uses a separate barrel plug. But when traveling, space is a premium in the bag. A retractable lens cover would be nice as well as a two step power switch to prevent power on of the projector in the bag. Decent audio for office use. 4 stars except that mine seems to have a fuzzy image that's can't be fixed with the manual mechanical focus wheel. Dropping s star to 3 due to this.

The LG MiniBeam PH30JG has a lot of positives. It is impressively portable, small enough to slip into a laptop bag, and the 4-hour battery means no power cords for many meetings. The built-in easel stand and tripod connection point allow for many positioning options. Despite the small size, this projector produces a very nice image at large sizes. I was able to get a display roughly 70 inches across (measured diagonally) from 7 feet away, and the picture was colorful and crisp. The downside of such a small projector is that it's not nearly as bright as larger counterparts. This model really needs to be used in a dark or mostly-dark environment. Also, the wireless display features are only so-so. Projecting via wireless from a laptop mobile device requires either MiraCast or WiDi support. Some brands of laptop and smartphone include these protocols, but many do not, so be sure to check your specs. I was able to get wireless display working with my Windows 10 laptop, and it was fine for presentations. However, there was enough stutter in the connection that it was a little bit distracting while watching video. The good news is that most laptops and mobile devices have some mechanism for video output via HDMI or USB-C cord, and this projector supports both. The built-in speaker on this projector is mediocre, but there’s a great alternative: Audio out. It was a little bit counterintuitive for me to conceptualize, but here’s how it works: Your computer or mobile device sends video and audio to the projector, and the projector then passes along the audio to your portable speaker via audio cable or Bluetooth. It’s a lot of connections, and you might think that the audio and video might get out of sync, especially when using Bluetooth, but there’s technology built-in to account for that. It worked automatically for me, but there’s an on-screen setting if you need to make adjustments manually. One really nice feature for me is the ability to charge via USB-C. I have a mobile phone and a laptop with USB-C ports, so I can use my phone charger or my laptop to power up the LG MiniBeam’s battery. Unfortunately, Micro USB (which seems to still be more common) charging connectors are not supported, so if you don’t have USB-C in your kit, you’ll need to pack the brick that comes with the projector to charge it up. Overall, I’m excited to add the LG MiniBeam PH30JG to my bag. The portability is really great. Being able to breeze into a conference room or classroom, make one wired connection between the projector and my laptop, and start sharing is fantastic. If you want to go completely wireless, this could still be a great projector for you, but be sure to check your devices for Miracast or WiDi. If you really need to be able to project in rooms that aren’t dark, this probably isn’t right model for you.

    Extremely Convenient Wireless Projector

If you know what you're purchasing, you will not be disappointed. This is a small and highly portable projector that provides a clear and bright image in a darkened room. It is not meant to be bright enough to compete with sunlight or lights inside a conference room. It's meant, for example, for watching movies/videos in your hotel room with the shades drawn or at night. It can also be used at work for quick projections in an office or room with the lights off. The image itself is bright and clear in the right setting. In a dark room, colors and detail are very impressive. The screen can get quite large. However, do keep in mind, the further distance beyond the recommended 100 inch screen size, the brightness will begin to fade. What really makes this little projector convenient is the wireless screen mirroring. I was able to easily connect my Samsung s8 to the projector within seconds. The projector displays your screen exactly how you see it. And every video I recorded or movie I streamed from my phone played flawlessly on the projector. There was no stuttering or dropped frames between my phone's wireless connection and the projector. Another convenient and highly usable feature is the projector’s ability to connect wirelessly to a Bluetooth speaker. This is very useful if you want full and load sound; like when you’re watching a movie. The projector itself comes with an internal speaker. It’s good at projecting the audio from your source (phone, Amazon Fire Stick, etc.), but the sound is tinny. One other reviewer mentioned that they were not able to get a connection established with their Bluetooth speaker. Again, I didn’t have any problems connecting them. Another tip is to make sure the speaker isn’t already paired with another device when you attempt to connect it to the projector. To prevent this, you’ll either need to use the speakers feature (if it has one) to switch Bluetooth sources, or simply turn off the Bluetooth on the device that the speaker is originally connecting to. Overall, I’m highly impressed with this unit. I can’t wait to take it on vacation and set it up for the kids, so they can watch their favorite shows or movies together.

I bought this to use on those long days ice fishing in a portable or permanent house. It has held up well, and the kids enjoy it too. I was able to easily connect via the projectors on board wifi and mirror my Axon 7's screen. I later used my S9, and connected viad hdmi to usb c. No issues using either method. The battery was able to last over 3 hours watching a football game. The picture quality is very good, and is decent in a fairly light room. Obviously, the darker the better. The negatives are the speaker quality. It's ok, and I understand putting a better/louder speaker would have affected battery life. I also wish you could adjust the picture size with a dial, vs physically moving the projector. It does have keystone though. The foldable stand seems crooked on my unit. On a completely flat surface, the picture is slightly crooked. Nothing major, but need to prop up one side. Using the available tripod mount and tripod would fix this. Pros: Picture Quality Connectivity Battery Size Cons: Speaker/Sound Picture Size Adjustment Built in Stand Highly recommend this unit if you can find it. Love being able to watch an entire movie, and not worry about it running out of battery. Very solid projector for the money.

Unboxing the LG MiniBeam PH30JG 720p Wireless DLP Projector was a pretty unremarkable event. Within the pretty basic box was the projector, a remote, batteries, and some basic manuals. The size of the MiniBeam was about what I expected. It measures about 6 x 3.5 x 1.5 inches and weighed just over 1 pound. All of which add up to one easily portable projector which was capable of projecting up to a 100 inch image. This projector is also cordless since it also packs a rechargeable battery which lasts 4 hours. I immediately think of all the fun possibilities. Outdoor movie night? Super simple cordless setups for work presentations? The MiniBeam includes multiple interface options. There is 1 headphone jack, 1 HDMI port, 1 USB A port, and 1 USB C port. Also supported are wireless screen share input options through Miracast and WiDi (more on that later). Not surprisingly there is no IOS support here. I was excited to explore the MiniBeam features and possibilities. Upon firing the MiniBeam up I explored its intuitive menu settings. There are a multitude of useful options. Anxious to see it in action I first opted to try a USB connection. I knew that the MiniBeam had a built in viewer for office documents so thought I’d start there. I popped in a flash drive from work which contained Word, PowerPoint, and image files. I was really excited by the possibility that you could do a presentation without having to tote along a laptop. Great concept but not so fast. Upon exploring my files there were apparent issues. Some PowerPoints played and some did not. The ones that did had strange formatting issues not evident in the originals. Word documents and image files were fine but I wasn’t a huge fan of the viewer. Next I wanted to try a wireless connection using my Windows 10 HP laptop which supports wireless screen sharing. I finally gave up in utter frustration after trying repeatedly to connect to the projector. I tried every imaginable setting in the projector menu without success. I finally opted for a wired HDMI connection with the laptop and then a Blu-ray player. This of course worked flawlessly. But let’s talk image. The LG MiniBeam is only 250 lumens and projects a 720p image at 100,000:1 contrast ratio. The LED lamp life is an impressive 30,000 hours. What did this all add up to in action? Well let’s face it 720p is not a 1080p high definition image but if you’re not projecting too large it’s certainly adequate. The 250 lumens brightness was inadequate with nearly any amount of ambient room lighting. This projector is best in a totally dark environment. Any ambient lighting quickly degraded the image with a washed out look. This was disappointing when considering use for work since total darkness is generally not the case in a conference room setting. Of course at home or at night outdoors this is less of an issue. I watched several films and I thought the MiniBeam’s projected image in total darkness was perfectly fine. While I’m intrigued by the portability options and I certainly can’t wait to use it for outdoor movies I was left feeling somewhat disappointed by the issues and limitations that I encountered. I understand that I can work around some of this limitations but I just find it frustrating that their evident. Fun but flawed.

This LG projector is the perfect companion to a laptop, smartphone or tablet. It's small, has a good picture (for being small and operating on a battery), great connectivity options with USB-C. Included in the box is the projector, charger and remote control with batteries along with the documentation. Picture: Most important is having a good picture and this projector has it. It's sharp and clear. The auto-keystone works great and makes adjusting the picture easy. The picture is sharp, clear and bright with vivid colors. On the lowest eco/brightness setting the fan is almost silent but you'd want to be in a dark room for viewing a large pciture. On the brightest setting, you can view it without the lights being off but it definitely looks better in a darker room. In all, very satisfied with the brightness being better than expected for being small and battery operated! On the brightest setting the fan does run higher but the noise is not bad and is a good trade off for the extra brightness. Connectivity: Connection via the USB-C port is great and offers many options to connect to the projector but it doesn't come with any adapters for that. You can also connect to it via the USB 2.0 or HDMI ports as well so there are several ways you can connect to it. Note that it can also be charged via the USB-C port with the right cable/device, but it does not come with a USB-C charger and instead comes with another charger. The other way to connect is via wireless. Most newer devices should be able to connect wireless as long as you're reasonably close to the projector. I was able to connect my Samsung tablet and Windows 10 Laptop via the wireless option quickly and easily with no problems. For an iPad or iPhone, note that you'll need to get the appropriate adapter and to use AirPlay (wireless) you'd need to connect the projector to an Apple TV. I was able to get mine to work using the AV adapter cable for HDMI. Other Features/Battery Life: Battery life is as expected with getting up to four hours on Eco. From testing it looks like the time on battery will definitely vary depending on brightness and if you are connected to it wireless. The built in speaker works with the audio from an HDMI source or USB/other sources. You can also connect it to bluetooth speakers or headphones. Overall, this projector is great and I'd absolutely recommend it! It's small and packs a punch!

First off, I had no idea this device was so small! It is literally smaller than my hand. Which is great for transporting and storage purposes, but you sacrifice a lot for the sake of portability. First off: the LG MiniBeam PH30 projector has only 250 lumens. That is not a lot of light, considering you can get a comparably priced projector with over 3500 lumens. You'll need a really dark room for this to be optimally effective. However, in spite of it's lack of brightness, the colors come through pretty well. It also boasts a four hour built in battery. That's a handy feature for a projector; you can run this baby practically anywhere. Did someone say backyard, summer movie night?? The projector comes with no cables; no HDMI, no USB, No VGA... It does, however, offer several methods to connect to this device (using your own cables). It has ports for HDMI, USB and USB-C. I plugged in a USB flashdrive containing video, photo and sound files, and they played beautifully from the drive. The built in speaker is just awful! It sounds tinny like a laptop from the 90's. Fortunately, you can connect your own Bluetooth speaker, whereas it will produce a decent sound. The Bluetooth, however, will NOT allow you to connect to a Bluetooth mobile device. It connected to my Android tablet fairly easily, and I was impressed with the colors. The images could be a little sharper, though. This device has both strong pros and cons: Pros: Small size for transporting and storing Four hour battery life Decent color reproduction Operates quietly Cons: only 250 lumens, the images are not that bright. No cables come with it. Very high price point. Just not enough bang for those big bucks. Recommendations for this product is a tough call. If you seek portability, and aren't too concerned with the lack of brightness, and aren't spooked by the price point, go for it. It definitely has its advantages, but the biggest detriment for me is the price.

I have been testing this unit out for about a week now and really love it. Step up is fairly simple right out of the box with inputs for HDMI, USB-C, and USB (cables not included). It also has built-in Bluetooth & screen mirroring. I would have liked it to be Wi-Fi enable but you can easy add a streaming device (such as Chromecast or Firestick). My finding are that the 720p is clear enough for small office presentations but not that cool for watching movies (compared to bigger 1080+ models). Again, the size makes it ideal for travel and quick presentation setup. The screen does stay really clear even at larger sizes though. The internal battery is nice and again adds to the easy presentation setup. It claims four hours on a full charge but varies with activity; either way it will last a few hours or more. Overall, this is a good little device that is perfect for the office, backyard, or just anywhere on the go.
