Compared to older conventional top-loading washers, it uses far less water and extracts more in the spin cycle. The "extra high" spin speed setting really gets the water our, especially for things like thick cotton towels, reducing the time and energy required for drying.

Really nice washing machine

I was going to get the one that had the water hose hook up but chose this one instead. I don’t plan to use the steam feature very often and liked that I could add water to the dispenser on top when I DO want to. So far, I like the job it does. The spin cycle really gets the water out.
