Edgar Wright's SHAUN OF THE DEAD is the bar by which all Romantic Zombie Comedies must measure up (Fido and Warm Bodies, come to mind), and although it doesn't quite reach that SOTD level, it has some good laughs and memorable performances from a cast that includes comedy veterans John C. Reilly and Molly Shannon.

This movie rocks. It is everything you are looking for in cheesy horror. Great cast, good story... and to see Matthew Gray Gubler play anyone other than Dr. Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds is awesome!

Great movie to add to my zombie collection! Planned out my whole month of October with Zombie movies and I added this to my week with Maggie, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, Fido and Warm Bodies. <3 Great story, unique and obviously has it's humorous parts with John C Riley and Molly Shannon.

Cute zombie black comedy. Humorous moments as dead gf returns as well as neighborhood falls apart. Bit slow in parts but true zombie fans will enjoy.

This is a over all fun movie, I love the cast of this movie Aubrey Plaza one of my favorite female comedians, Dane DeHaan who played in Chronicle, and John C. Reilly who I love in everything he plays in. Just a heads up there are two movies that came out at about the same time with the dead gf plot line, Burying the Ex being the other, I personally find Life After Beth to be the better of the two movies.

While it may take a normal viewer to get into this film, you will eventually come around to it. Aubrey Plaza and Dane DeHaan have great chemistry!

An interesting zomedy where it's basically the dead coming back to life to revisit family and try to continue the routines they had in life.

The cast was perfect, the concept hilarious. There were a few times where the movie dragged a little and some humor that didn't quite hit.

This movie started off well but the wheels came off about halfway through. Good idea but not fully thought out. John C Reilly rocks as usual but he'll always be Dr Steve Brule to me. The original music is really haunting and sticks in your head, especially the music that's playing on the DVD title screen.

I was trying to figure out what this movie was trying to be. It wasn't near as good as Shaun of the Dead and felt more like a Warm Bodies in the zombie rom-com type of movie. There were parts that I chuckled hard at, but lacked consistent laughs. One time date night rental ONLY!!

Life After Beth is a darkly outrageous comedy that brings a different spin on the Zombie genre. Saw this at Sundance, and loved it. Disappointed it didn't make it to the theatres in wide release, but it's definitely an under the radar film, that I can't help but predict will have a cult following in the next few years.
