BB’s laid back return policy allows for fakes to be returned and shipped out again as new when they are refurbished. This case did not have the signature LIFEPROOF emblem on the back bottom of the case. Returned it to the store. The associate who took the case asked why I was returning it. I told her it was a fake, she just scanned it and said I would be refunded. Not sure if she labeled it as fake or if it will get shipped out again as “genuine”. BB you need to correct this. People purchase from BB hoping they are getting a reputable purchase.

I haven't dropped it much, or from great height, but it's held up to a short drop to the kitchen floor. The only thing I don't love is that the back is just a clear plastic piece and picks up fingerprints like crazy. I like being able to see the color of my phone, unfortunately the fingerprints and smudges look gross. If this would've had the compliment color as a solid colored back I think it would've been better. However, my phone is protected, so that's not the end of the world.

However, the front of the case has absorbed dark colors on it that I can’t clean off. I think it picked up the dark dye in my jeans when I’ve put it in my back pocket or when I put it in my purse. I’ve tried cleaning it with a Clorox wipe, Magic Eraser and alcohol. Nothing works. Not worth the price if the color is going to change so quickly. Just buy a clear case.

We sincerely apologize that this SLAM series adopted some chameleon properties and started changing colors! Every once in a while, our lighter case colors can absorb different elements, depending on what they're exposed to on a daily basis. Going forward, we might suggest taking a peek at designs with darker hues!
