As someone who works in IT, I always look for the best in category, while doing research I found LIFX and thought I found the answer to wanting color Wi-Fi-connected bulbs, but I was dead wrong. With a nearly new Linksys EA7500 that can reach around the block of my apartment, I took two of these bulbs home to find them unable to stay connected. I made sure it wasn't even because of me standing in front of them, they were on the 2.4Ghz longer reaching band and in the same room as the router, constantly disconnected for periods of time. Their firmware was up to date and I even went to the length of running a packet test to their IP and indeed saw drops while all other devices on my network were find and there was nearly no utilization at the time. So, in short, the reviews I read about the disconnects were correct for me, and I returned them. In short, I wouldn't recommend these and LIFX needs to do more product testing.

This is the bulb that started me buying all my other lifx bulbs and lifx strips this is amazing I will never use regular bulbs again and the app is so cool works flawlessly every time

When it worked this late was great, however it lost connection frequently. And couldn't control it from the iPhone

Works great alone or with a hub. My son loves the colors and it's bright enough for his bedroom. App is tough at first but the product I like a lot.

These light bulbs work great. Setting them up can be a little tricky and they are a little picky connecting to the wifi, but once you get them set they are fun to play with

I have not had a fire or an overload of CO2 in my condo so I cannot really give you a valid comment. It looks nice up there on the ceiling though.

Hooks up to my wifi with my android device. Ap let's me connect to Nest thermostat. The LIFX Community is active and I found contacting the company was very personalized.

This lightbulb is cool! I can even strobe it from miles away to irritate my boyfriend while he's watching tv as long as the bulb and my phone are both online. A must have.

After trying other brands, this LIFX is the best smart bulb we got. It works great with AMAZON ECHO and perfect with IFTTT. The iOS app is stable and never crash.

At first this bulb was difficult to set up. Once I got it running though it was great. You need a little know how at first though.

The bulb was easy to setup and the color spectrum is AMAZING! LifX bulbs are way better than Hue bulbs both with performance and with range of colors.

Very nice to start changing all bulbs at home and have them connected to the wifi network. A bit expensive though.

It works really well. l like that it works without a hub. The app that controls it is well-designed. It works great with my Amazon Echo too.

Ok, where to begin! First off I'm a fairly technical person and can configure a router. I could even advise you on how to set up server, switches blah blah blah This product is absolutely the worst with keeping it connected. It constantly loses connection for no reason at all. The process to onboard the lights again is absolutely Beyond ridiculous. You have to go into your router and shut off the 5GHz connection. You have to shut off the firewall. You have to turn on your SSDI. You have to remove the app and reload it. You have to turn the lights on and off 5 times. then you have to go through the onboard process all over again. And then two days later they stopped working agan! Tech support is only email only. You can't reset the app to start fresh. These lights are a nightmare and I sooooo regret buying them.

Compared to Phillip's hue it's the same thing for a better price. Special features and scenes are better.

I recommend this item 100%. The colors and wifi capability work for me, plus scheduled mode is great when we are out of town.

Great LCD light bulb! Able to turn the light on/off using my cell phone or pad without leaving the bed. Excellent buy....

Definitely better than the Philips bulbs as far as I'm concerned. With the Amazon echo, these bulbs are amazing
