Almost perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Functionality is great. Scheduling is great. Lack of Apple HomeKit integration after months of promises is very disappointing.

Brighter bulb connectivity issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Takes forever to connect to router. A21 bulbs connect immediately. The 1000 series is brighter than the A21 bulb and therefore doesn't match a21 bulbs. Even though it is hub less it needs a router to communicate with the device running the app. Been my pet peeve since I invested in it.

Great led lights, addicting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great, i did not have any issues when setting them up, i like using them while playing music, the lights change colors and flicker to the beat of the music, but for this i have to use two devices a tablet for the app to control the lights and a phone to stream music, when exiting the app the lights will stop changing but will stay lit, im pretty happy with these but i just got addicted to them and have four now. I would recommend them to others The only issue i had with this purchase is that i placed the order online expecting to walk in and out of best buy but i was in line with everyone that was returning merchandise and the CS people kept taking phone calls. Best buy should have a dedicated line for online pick up.

Wouldn't connect to WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My WiFi routers are configured to not advertise their SSIDs. I updated the bulbs' firmware, but they still didn't connect to WiFi. I returned the bulbs. Your mileage may vary.

Failed to connect.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 10 bulbs. I struggled to connect theme. Contacted Lifx to no avail. Set up was about 3 hrs per bulb. Not worth my time, so after my 3rd bulb failed, I returned all of them.

Very happy with the purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: - don't need a hub - support universal voltage - the colors are much better than hue - the app is cool - works with IFTTT - works with Amazon Echo Cons; - No apple homekit support yet (means you cant ask siri to turn off your lights) - Wish the app supports geo location

Colorful but costly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love everything about this light except for the cost. However I do feel that prices will eventually start dropping once the connected home becomes more common. Set up was straight forward and the app basically tells you what to do. It works good with my Amazon Echo but not perfect. As an example, I have to tell "Alexa" to tell LIFX to change colors but when it comes to changing the brightness, that part "she" can handle without the need of the LIFX skill. Overall, I'm very pleased with the millions of colors and brightness levels. These bulbs are addicting! I should have purchased the two pack to save a little money, because now I'm on my way to buy another one.

Great Bulbs but one problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I first bought two of these LIFX bulbs to test in our bedroom. They are great and we loved them so much we bought a bunch for our basement. You can set them to turn on slowly for a gentle wake-up, change the shade of white the bulb is, and do many neat things (like set them to change color in time with music, creating your own club). However, the one caveat is that, in our experience, some of the bulbs are buggy and have problems responding. We've been working on this and have come to the conclusion that the lights need their own access point to the wireless network. Hopefully that works! Right now, we have to basically turn the lights off via switch, wait ten seconds, and turn them back on and they respond. Other than that, we love them!

Bright and fun!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really happy with these, I bought 3 for my living room and the scenes and setting them up for movies and evening mood lighting is excellent. When I turn them on bright they are really bright! Lights up the place really well, no need for extra lighting. I am using an Apple Airport Express and they're connecting well with my iPhone and my wife's Galaxy S5.

decent product for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a pretty decent product for the price.not having an additional hub like the hue system is nice and setup is very easy.the app is easy to use and works well.the only negative about the light is the colors are not as bright or sharp as the philips hue.

Outstanding product - no hub required!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am new to connected home products. I tried out this new bulb from LIFX and was hooked. It was great! I now have them in several rooms in my house. Since they use WiFi, you do not need a hub to connect or control them. Installation was simple. My lights now come on automatically with the sunset and turn off when I go to bed. I then wake with the lights dimming on. I can control my lights from anywhere with my phone. It has greatly simplified my life. Also - LIFX released a "spooky" mode for Halloween - lights orange, flashing, turning red. My kids loved it! I cannot wait to see what they do for the winter holidays!

Connectivity and setup issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 3 LIFX bulbs, 2 of the color 1000's and one white 800. I used the android app to setup my bulbs. At first I was able to get the two color bulbs to connect. Then I was unable to get the 800 bulb to connect. After performing a reset on the 800, I was able to see the 800 in the app, but then the 1000's disappeared. Then I reset the 1000's. Then after getting them to connect the 800 disappeared. Then I reset all 3 bulbs. I had to reboot my Galaxy S5 several times. Then I configured each bulb individually with only one turned on at a time. I finally got all 3 working in the android app and I even did the firmware update. As the previous reviewer stated, if these bulbs do not stay connected after about a week, I'm going to return them to Best Buy and I will never play with WiFi light bulbs again, at least until the technology is a whole lot better.

They have the same issue as the white 800 bulbs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So let me start off by saying I am a home automation enthusiast. I have 5 of the original LIFX bulbs and they work great all the time. I wanted to add a few more bulbs to the collection so I bought 2 of the white 800 bulbs but I ended up returning them because they would frequently get disassociated with the app requiring them to be hardware reset, and reconfigured. The new color 1000's share the exact same body styling as the white 800's and are probably the exact same thing just with color LED's. I just bought 3 color 1000's and they give me the exact same problems as the White 800's. I've had them for 4 days now and I've had to reset them 3 times each. Waste of money. I liked the fact that these use less power but who cares if they don't work all the time. I am going to buy the original LIFX while I can and I recommend you do the same.
