Love these bulbs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The colors are so vibrant and they are so easy to set up and get working. I love that you do not need anything other then just the bulbs themselves, so no hub required like with other bulbs of this type (hue).

Great Product.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched all of the different intelligent lights before landing on the Lifx bulbs. They are easy to connect and program and do not require a hub. I was able to program a few scenes within 30 minutes and was able to explain how they work to my wife in about 5 minutes. I have them programmed to turn on 30 minutes before sunset and turn off at midnight. The only time we have to think about the lights is when we want to switch to a different scene.

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased 7 of these light bulbs and I love them. So I'm upgrading the rest of my light in my house (25 more lights in total). Best Buy will match the websites lower price if you purchase 4 or more the website sells them for over $10 cheaper which is nice so Best Buy matches. It's a great product I'm a millennial and I'm getting into the whole smart house thing and I'm loving the "set it and forget it" recipes on IFTTT. Don't think about it just get it!

Amazing but software needs help
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These lights are simply put spectacular. They give you a wide variety of colors and schemes to use. Only downfall I've had is sometimes getting the lights to sync up properly to my tablet and syncing issues in general. Still a great light and works pretty well with the occasional hiccup.

Love the colors and preset ones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the colors and preset ones are awesome. Love the fact I can turn on/off the light through my wifi even when I am not home over the internet. Works great with Logitech Harmony or on the iPhone app. Worth the money well spent and save on electric bill in the long run since it is a LED.

Produces much better colors than Philips Hue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LIFX produces deep vibrant colors unlike their rival, Philips Hue, which produces pastel shades of green and blue at best. The only worry that I have is that LIFX bulbs get super hot even when not in use. Doesn't seem to be super energy efficient.

Bright/Smart lights
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LIFX bulbs are brighter than the Hue lights for millions of color options. The app is great and the integration with Google Home and IFTTT are excellent.

Third party apps bring the lights to life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have Philips Hue and LIFX. The LIFX lights are brighter and provide better color accuracy but I do experience connectivity issues at times. I have not had any issues with Philips Hue; I just wish they were brighter. To get the most out of your lights, you'll need to install some third party apps like Thunderstorm for LIFX: http://thunderstorm.scottdodson.io/ (full disclosure: I'm the developer).

Pretty nice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the white one, It can at times "get lost" from the network at times of power interruptions which is the only reason it doesn't get a 5 star. Works perfect with Amazon Echo.

Talk about a piece of garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Frequently, when turning them on at the wall switch, they take several minutes to connect to the wifi. But that doesn't mean they're all connected to wifi, sometimes only 1-2 will be connected such that I can use the app on my phone to control them. Sometimes I try back hours later and finally i can control them. Don't forgot, as well, that they frequently forget their last settings. I set them to a very dim blue, but when I turn them on later, they're super bright white! They don't always forget the settings, just about 50% of the time. Then, of course, in the app, I select "all lights"...in fact just did it before writing this review. I selected "all lights" when all 4 I have are shown in the app, and as I changed the colors etc, it only changed 2 of the 4....I had to change the other 2 individually in the app even though I selected "all lights". Piece of garbage, these are supposed to be easy to use and awesome. Don't get me wrong, the brightness and colors are great, but they seem to have put no reasonable effort into the user friendliness of these items. I'm taking them back, so ticked off I got duped by these pieces of garbage.

Fun novelty item
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kids love it, wife love the timer feature. Only downside if you have multiple walls or floors between light and wifi you lose connectivity.

Couldn't get bulbs to connect no matter what...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought three bulbs, and was very hopeful of this product with all the positive reviews but was soon disappointed upon returning home with it and when I began trying to connect to the bulbs with my phone. Time after time again, it said it couldn't connect to the bulb's WiFi. I tried power cycling the bulbs as suggested but to no avail. I tried from my tablet, which had a previous version of Android running after reading that there were issues with Android 6.0 and connectivity issues. I got it to connect on the first try, but when trying to send the WiFi credentials to the bulb, it had an onboard failure, and I couldn't connect to it once again with either device. As recommended, I hardware reset the bulb by power cycling it five times and watching it flash red, green, and blue. Then I couldn't connect to it at all. I even got my dad's Windows 10 laptop (my PC has Win 7 and my laptop is a Macbook) to use the Windows application, and it wouldn't work from there, granted it actually connected to the bulb first try, but would reach the "onboard" error each time. I decided to get the other two out and see if they would have the same problems. Lo and behold, of course, they did. So as per the website's recommendations, I downloaded the firmware updater for my computer and updated the firmware on all three of them—took a while because the first attempt failed on all three of them unanimously and caused them all to go into "rescue mode," but once that happened, the firmware updated successfully. Back to my phone, I go to connect to the bulbs, and I connect to them instantly. "Oh, I guess that solved the problem," I thought to myself, but I was wrong. I selected my SSID of my WiFi to send to the bulb, and what would you know it had the same darn onboard error. I tried the other two bulbs and they had the exact same error. I tried to connect with my tablet, and couldn't even connect to them at this point. I hardware reset them once again, and couldn't get either my phone or my tablet to connect to the bulbs at all. This has been a waste of money and time, and I'm beyond frustrated that I have to make an hour drive back to Best Buy to return these items. It seems like there are no good WiFi light bulbs out there, really, so I think I'm just going to forget about it until they L2Technology right. This is 2016! How can they screw this up so badly? Unfortunately, I don't have an i-device to work around the Android/Windows issues, and my guess is everyone who's having so much success and for whom it was "a breeze to set up" are using an iPhone or something since they tend to have better support for things like this anyway. Either that or I just have bad luck and technology hates me. Probably a combination of both.
