This light does exactly what it should changes color on command via wifi and can be controlled by the Amazon Echo natively. The setup can be slightly tricky for those not technically savvy however it is not insurmountable. The light is bright and depending on the color you may actually end up turning down the brightness level frequently! It also can be set to change color to the beat of the music making it a great party light and conversation starter.

Very satisfied with the way that these lights work in my home. These lights work very well with home automation. The only drawback that I had with this product was in the setup process trying to connect them to my network, though after several attempts of going through the process I was finally able to connect them all successfully. They are somewhat pricey but the lights are impressive.

Now if you decide later on that you want to go full color for wifi bulbs then I would recommend buying Lifx over Philips Hue color bulbs. Here's why: The Lifx have a brightness of 1055 lumens or 75 equivalent. They feature tons of white only color variations and really nice rainbow colors with adjustable brightness levels. The Philips hue are excellent products in their own right. However you are getting 800 lumens for the same price as these here. The Lifx are bulkier bulbs, But they do not need a bridge to connect to the router. They set up individually through the Lifx app and like the Philips power through wireless internet. I tested out remote wifi through my 4g smartphone and they work every time just like the Philips hue bulbs when I am not at home. I am happy with Lifx brand and plan to add more to my recessed lighting in my home to get the full effect. If you want to take full advantage of "Scenes" then buy at least three of these bulbs. In multiples of two they are cheaper on the Lifx website. Another cool feature is "effects" through the app. You can make these bulbs do the following: Candle Flickering, Color Cycle, Strobe light, Music visualizer (Bulbs dance to your music). Lots of fun and I do not regret my purchase.

They go up to 9,000k brightness but the lumens are too low to make them very useful. I know that a return policy is offered and I may send them back. They are ridiculously expensive for a lightbulb. For the cost to manufacture vs purchase price to the consumer, I am Sure they should have a respectable warranty. They do not. It makes you feel like you bought a lightbulb that isnt bright enough, for way too much money, that will break and leave you with nothing! Purchase was more of a mistake in the end. They are no brighter than the 23 watt cfl 3500k that they replaced. The funny thing is that the cfl cost me less than $2.00! Half of the time, these bulbs wont pick up the wifi so dont even show up on their own app. Great idea behind the design But... It is worth no more than $10 in the real world. They change colors but, seriously, how important is that? Have you ever sat in your living room and had some major desire to change the color of your light bulb? No. I have also found that the colors are really only effective at low power and then its too dark to see in the room!

I purchased this product to see what the talk was about and was hoping it would work without a lamp being plugged in but unfortunately it has to be plugged in, great product though.

Easy wifi setup and control using iOS app. I have several and they fill every room with color.

I use LIFX color bulb with my Amazon Echo and most of the time time it works very well. There have been a few times, probably because of a flaw in the internet that the bulb lost connection with my Echo. I will be on an extended absence in a while and I am looking forward to using the random on and off feature. The ability to change colors and to dim the light is a plus.

Nice that we didn't have to buy the hub, but I often have an issue connecting to the light with my phone

The colors on this light are amazing. Also the fact it is hubless makes set a sinch

I highly recommend everyone have a smart light bulb in their house. The features are great to play with. You can really taylor the lighting to your personality.

The colors are brilliant and bright. The only draw back is the WIFI connection is not stable.

Yes it's expensive for a light bulb, but it's very cool to use. When paired with an Amazon Echo I can control the bulb with voice commands. Being able to dim the bulb and change the type of white is pretty handy. The colors are cool too but I don't use them very often. It you can get past the price it's definitely worth it.

Why oh why did I wait to buy these. Purchased one, used it on the porch light for holidays. Had so much fun with it purchased a pack of them and LOVE them. So much fun and can really set a mood in a room. Have tons of routines setup based on situations or events at home. Also integrated with my Samsung hub, flipping fantastic. Side note DO NOT use these on a dimmer switch.

Great brightness. Awesome color range. As with most WIFI connected devices, a bit wonky. Meaning...connecting them to WIFI not always easy, app doesn't seem to work perfectly, closing app and opening app often while connecting lights to your network sometimes required. But, you can see the future with this.

These lights did not disappoint. I've been on the fence between Phillips Hue and other multicolor wifi enabled lights, but I was impressed with the brightness and color variation of the Lifx. I purchased a pair and I was not disappointed. They are bright and responsive. Incredibly easy to install The app could be better, but it's a work in progress.

I wanted it to turn the lights from white to red at a specific time then turn back to white. It was impossible to get it programmed and when emailing the manufacturer they did not respond for three days and I already returned the bulb. The bulb has nice colors and can turn on and off with the app.

Decent wifi enabled light bulb. Every now and then it doesn't turn on to its last color setting but a few taps on my iphone and its back to where I had it. App is really easy to use. Overall I would buy it again and will be buying more for my house. Good value compared to the Hue lights.

Love that I can turn it on when I'm out of town. So far tried it as far as 90 miles and it did work!
