Love this movie, and when I heard Best Buy was discontinuing selling physical media I just had to purchase any favorite movie I could find. Luckily Best Buy had this one. It came promptly and unscathed. Thank you

Fantastic movie. Accurate to a fault and the acting is phenomenal. Brings home a terrible time in our history with some of the best acting I’ve seen. Remarkably well cast as well.

The main character did an outstanding job portraying President Lincoln leading up to the momentous day of the Constitutional Amendment. Viewers anticipated the plot as if they were there.

Lincoin blu ray/dvd is a great Masterpiece and cast is great to one named Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln And base a great book by Doris Kearns Goodwin

This was a great movie and documentary I really learned a lot by watching this movie and also at a wonderful price job well done Best Buy

This should be seen by all school students and every American citizen about one person's driven passion and position of being America. So much here that you may not have been told about this important time in our history. A must see!

Well worth the veiwing time and historically acurate

This movie is one of my favorites. I have seen it several times. Decided to buy it.

“Lincoln” from Steven Spielberg is a true masterclass in filmmaking. A departure from the usual Steven Spielberg film “Lincoln” sets a new standard and chapter in the Oscar winner extensive filmography.

Really good movie about ex presidente Lincoln really good for history.

Daniel Day Lewis does a fantastic job on this historical piece surrounding the events of President Lincoln's administration, enduring the Civil War, his assassination and the aftermath for America. The Blu-ray looks good and sounds good on the 4K TV and player. The set comes with a DVD copy, no digital. Easy menu selections. This really needs a good 4K upgrade for a 2012 movie. Would look and sound stunning even more so. Got this on a great deal, so will upgrade when available. Recommended for all!

Although the lighting is dark and the film moves slowly for the first half, this is a compelling story about the attempt by President Lincoln and Republican leaders to pass the Abolition Amendment that came to be known as the 13 th Amendment. The acting is superb, and Daniel Day Lewis, Sally Fields, and Tommie Lee Jones each give strong and memorable performances. There is sufficient drama, despite the film's length, to keep every viewer focused. This is not a film about African Americans, black soldiers, or black activism, and this is one of the film's weaknesses, for the heroism of black Civil War soldiers compelled Lincoln to push for full emancipation.

The movie was great. The content was put together very well. Everyone played their roles in a very professional and historical correct manner. I have been a fan of President Lincoln all my life, and was so pleased to see this movie. There were many things I would have added, but there is so much to tell about such a great man. It would be very hard to put it all into one movie. I was hoping that his childhood days would be shown as well as more about his death and how the nation greieved.Overall a huge fan!

Lincoln the movie is first-rate. Based on Pulitzer Prize winner Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln", the performances are solid, especially those by Daniel Day-Lewis who manages to breathe believable life into a man previously best depicted in elementary school history lessons. The movie made me want to learn more about Lincoln. Tommy Lee Jones as the fiery abolitionist Congressman Thaddeus Stevens who had motivations of his own regarding the slavery bill, and William Seward (David Strathairn) Lincoln's Secretary of State made me want to do more research into the slavery bill.

This movie gets FIVE STARS and an excellent, It is an incredible movie that revisits real history with accuracy. Abraham Lincoln had a gift for understanding the urgency of now. He was a great negotiator and leader of the country, POTUS. The cast portrays the time period beautifully. It's not too belabored with opinion of right or wrong. It tells the story of congress voting on the 13th amendment and it's importance. Great without the being boring.

The movie "Lincoln" was excellent. Danial Day Lewiswas awesome as Lincoln. Sally Fields played Mary Lincoln so powerfully, you could almost feel how disturbed Mary was. You have always read about the trials of the Lincoln household during the presidency, both politcal and personal. I think this movie gives us a glimpse of how difficult it was for Lincoln. He not only had to deal with the War, the division of the Country, and the divisions within his own personal life. It showed how strongly he believed in the freedom of all men, and how that freedom should be protected for all men.

Great acting! And very proud to say this movie was filmed right here where I live in Petersburg Va. A lot of the film was also filmed in Richmond Va. as well. This film is very realistic in the sense that the places that you see in the film are the actual places that Lincoln frequented, visited, and conducted his duties at. Although the White House that is shown is obviously not the actual White House, but it is actually the Capital Building in Richmond Va. that was transformed into being the White House. A great and factual portrayal of Lincoln by Daniel Day Lewis.

This movie was not what I expected because it was not your basic assassination movie. The story was about Abe's kind and gentle heart mixed with determination to enact change against great odds. Witty stories abound often to ears without understanding creating a sense of a lonely man without close friends. Period correct atmosphere and verbiage enhance the movie and it left me proud of our history.
