Thanks for taking the time to share a review. Consider checking the driver version of the linksys adapter and update it to the latest one, as well as disconnecting the adapter from the computer and securely reconnect it to the same port or slot where it was attached to isolate the issue.

Linksys is a reliable company and they made my router so I decided to pay a little extra to go with them. I wasn't disappointed. Over 80 megs per second on the download is outstanding. The fact that the adapter is AC means that it is future ready.

This adapter let me setup in my dining room with no LAN outlet. It took 2 minutes to install the driver from the included CD, plug in the adapter, then connect to the WIFI. It runs great. Streaming video, playing games, and sometimes actually doing some work :-)

Thank you for sharing your experience. Linksys wireless adapters normally do not require extra configuration to achieve optimum wireless reception as it is a plug and play device. However, there are factors to be considered to maximize its connectivity. It could be caused by interference in your area like thick walls or ceilings. You may also try plugging the adapter to other computers and check if you will experience the same setback.
It would be best if the router is within the line of sight of the computer. This will ensure a stable wireless connection between the devices.
