I'm working from home in an IT job sometimes transferring tens of GB per day. This seemed to cause it to have heating and connectivity issues. I think just burdened it more than was intended. I got a PCIE card with a heatsink to replace it. I've kept this USB adapter in case I have a home-purposed PC that needs connectivity. I think for normal home users, it should work fine, but it just didn't work for my heavy usage conditions.

We appreciate your comments. It is normal for a networking device to become warm, particularly when used frequently. The storage temperature for this model is -4 to 158F. (-20 to 70C).
