Just purchased wireless adapter and plugged it in into my Lenovo desktop computer. The adapter picked up wireless signal immediately. No extra work, just insert CD, follow instructions and within minutes wifi is available.

I use this in my 2 story house (w/ finished basement). The router is on the main level, while my "Gaming / Media Server" Desktop is in the basement using this USB Wireless adapter. Works great with no real connection / lag issues.

Unit Is Too Bulky To Handle Easily

This adapter had pretty good performance for a few months. What I don't like about this product is that the unit is too BIG. If you are using in a stationary position it would be alright. But when you attach it to a laptop and occasionally move around with it, that is too cumbersome to place laptop conveniently. It will always hit walls or other environment while moving around with a laptop. It hits something every time I moved, and it was giving leverage pressure to the USB port and made me scare it might break my usb port on the laptop. While it is about the size of a big USB flash drive, this Linksys adapter is too much burden. For a USB flash drive, you don't keep it attached to your device all the time but rather attach it and remove it when you are using it. However, you always keep it attached to your device for your Wireless Network Adapter, so this makes more cumbersome. Finally today, this adapter broke while my dog was jumping over my laptop and accidentally hit the adapter. The adapter had pretty good performance other than turning off itself and not being able to connect with the router for about 30 times for 6 months of use. I contacted a Linksys technical support today but was not able to get any help about it. I've been using Linksys products for more than 10 YEARS, but this is so much disappointing. I just wish it had smaller design for a much better use.

    Works perfectly with Windows 10

I bought this because Netgear (whom I still love if it worked) is having huge issues not releasing drivers for Windows 10 for their products. I went home and just plugged this into my Windows 10 machine (did not use the disk it came with) and Windows installed in flawlessly. Found my home Network and the 5G with no issues at all.

This works great with my ancient XP desktop. One little issue, every time I power up I need to unplug and plug it back in. Works great. Faster internet than the PC can handle.

Good wireless adapter but VERY poor instructions

Ok, so I bought this wireless adapter about 2 weeks ago and plugged it in and it worked fine at the start on Windows 10. When I used it for certain applications, it would lose connectivity after about 5 minutes and then regain it. For games, this was bad since I would lag out of games. I looked and found many users having the same issue on Windows 10. Looked up the drivers on Linksys and the latest Windows 10 drivers were released in March 2016 so it should work, right? Wrong. So after some research, I found what I believe is this issue since it was only crashing sometimes and on certain apps. You can try the following: 1. Uninstall driver and reinstall with drivers from Linksys website for WUSB6300 (Should be the ones on the disc but you never know) 2. - Search "Device Manager" on your computer. - Expand "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" or "USB". - Right Click ALL the items -> Properties - Go to the "Power Management" tab if it exists for that item and deselect "Allow computer to turn off to save power" 3. Do same as Step 2 but for "Network Adapters" -> "Linksys WUSB6300" You shouldn't get anymore disconnects after that. If you do, well the only solution I would have done would have been to switch to a previous version of Windows. I hope this helps! Linksys has lost my business for a while.

My grandson built his first pc and we purchased the Asus AC53 for it. Had nothing but problems with that. Ping would get a timeout every 15 packets. Tried different drivers, same problem. I gave up and bought this Linksys model. No problem at all. We noticed that the Linksys had "4 bars" where the Asus only would show 1 or 2. The pc is in a desk cabinet not out in the open. That might have played a role.

I have to install Windows 7 64Bit Drivers on the linksys Site otherwise it disconnects and reconnects every few secs, they might update for a driver for Windows 10 64bit in the future for now I have to use the Windows 7 driver only thing when I connect to 5ghz it shows wireless N instead of AC otherwise you still get the 5Ghz speeds of 787 mb/s downstream otherwise is good but I put the adapter up for now until there is more support for it., I still keeping it since it isn't that bad but not using it for now.
