Don't be misled by the high rating - if you get this product, there's a significant chance it will not work as advertised. Out of the box this adapter was giving me problems. It hardly ever is able to successfully connect to a 5G signal, and if it does it will usually stop working. It completely craps the bed when plugged into my laptop's functioning USB 3.0 port. Even in another port, the adapter will periodically just stop working (for the lulz, I guess). It CONSTANTLY conflicts with the built-in Wi-Fi to the point I usually just turn off my built-in card. But the highlight is that when it does stop working it will almost brick my entire laptop. Whatever browser I'm using will freeze, the Network Center will freeze, the Safely Remove Device program will freeze, even the Task Manager will freeze. I know it's the adapter because when I'm forced to just yank the darn thing out (which can also result in a BSOD), everything starts working fine. I have updated to the latest drivers. I have turned off the setting that allows the computer to turn off adapters to save power. This product works in a handful of circumstances and then sometimes not even then. All of these adapters seem to have issue with Windows 10 environments, so I can't tell you what to get. But this one definitely has unaddressed problems.

My PC is on the other side of the room and this does exactly what it's supposed to do. Speedy connection.

I bought this adapter in hopes of temporarily fast speeds since while building my computer, the shipping for the wifi chip was delayed. The setup was easy. The CD installation worked perfectly and it seemed like I was up and running in a matter of minutes. However, when I plugged in this USB Adapter, speeds were extraordinarily slow. You couldn't watch livestreams or YouTube videos. Speeds that were typically 105 up and down in my house turned into inconsistent 2-3MB down and .5MB up, with an occasional "You have been disconnected from your network." All you could really do is load up a news article and potentially load up your email. Verdict: Works as a temporary solution and can still browse the web with slow speeds however cannot "easily stream high-definition video and enjoy high-speed gaming" as advertised to do so. You're much better off installing an 802.11ac PCIE chip.

Works well with Windows 10 so far. Fast speeds and has been reliable in the couple of days I've been using it.

Mostly works ok, but it sticks out the side of my laptop and I’m always worried about something striking it and causing damage to itself or the laptop.

I was a little concerned moving from a wired connection to a wireless connection. I should not have been so concerned, with the WUSB 6300, I can barely tell the difference between my wired and wireless connection. Another satisfied customer.

It was difficult to install, but once it's working the speed is fantastic

I received this adapter free from Linksys in return for my honest feedback. I have an AC 1900 router, and without this adapter, my desktop was downloading at 30 Mbps; with this adapter, I am now downloading at 56Mbps; the computer consistently connects to the network, and everything loads quicker, with no lags, and no freezes. I would buy this adapter.

Picked this up for the dual band capability in a crowded apartment complex. Plugged in and installed in about 5 minutes total on 2 laptops, and the change from 2.4 to 5 was immediately noticeable in speed and especially in reliability. Getting it on sale just sealed the good value.

Setup this on my bedroom multimedia PC( i have one under every TV ). Took me about 10 minutes to install and get working. When i tested file transfer speeds, i got around 900Mbps. I have a 1.9 nighthawk router with AC, so close to gigabit speeds with a little usb dongle is great!

Well, so far so good. It has been in service for one month with no issues. I will update as time go by.

I received this as a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. Evaluation: I am very pleased To have been able to evaluate this item. I have fewer disruption in my videos and faster connect time when starting my machine. I prefer using Linksys product for all my network needs

I bought this product because it had great reviews. I can say it was easy to install and works great. The problem is every time I log onto my computer I have to go to the complete set up again and put in my code.

Good product, I like best buy i go nutts everytime i come in the store im looking forward to visiting your store again. You all have cool Tv sets, and software.

I bought one for my wife new gaming desktop and i would recommend getting a linksys router max-stream AC2200 also for better connection
